LG F12U1HBS4 Washing Machine Reviews

LG F12U1HBS4 reviewsThe LG F12U1HBS4 automatic narrow washing machine has been on the market for over two years, and while it's not a new model in terms of appearance and technical specifications, it remains relevant today. In some respects, it can even rival the cutting-edge models released this year, but we'll deliberately refrain from offering this machine too much praise. Let the owners of the LG F12U1HBS4 have their say first; that would be fairer.

A year and a half ago, my wife and I decided to sell our old Bosch washing machine and buy something new, especially since it was starting to show signs of wear and tear. It had been in our hands for 12 years, and the new owners still have it. We spent a long time deciding what to buy. We considered getting a modern Bosch, but after reading reviews online, we decided against it. Ultimately, we decided on an LG washing machine.

We needed a model within $550 and with a large load capacity.

We stumbled upon the LG F12U1HBS4 washing machine. I liked it immediately, and my wife was on board with it; we didn't even argue, which is surprising in itself. Over the past year and a half, my wife and I have noticed a number of advantages.

  • There's a super-fast wash. It's a really cool feature—you can refresh your laundry in just under 20 minutes. Heavy stains won't be removed in that time, but rinsing t-shirts and shirts is perfectly fine. It says that the mini-program lasts 14 minutes, but this is not true; in reality, it is a little longer.
  • There's a steam wash option. It's also a good feature. My wife puts overdried items in the machine before ironing, takes them out after a while, and irons them, and it works well.
  • Direct drive. Makes the machine very reliable, at least that's what they say, and I'm inclined to believe it.
  • The drum is very roomy. Our old machine had a 4.5 kg capacity, which seemed like a lot when we bought it. Now, for some reason, 7 kg isn't enough, especially when my wife wants to wash down jackets.
  • A wide hatch, which is very convenient when loading laundry into the drum.
  • High-quality spin. The machine can spin laundry at 1200 rpm, but even at lower speeds, items spin well.
  • There is an additional rinse and a bunch of other different functions.
  • It has mobile diagnostics, child protection and full leak protection.

My wife asked me to add that this machine has helped us save a bit on water and electricity. It's also very beautiful and fits perfectly into our kitchen, which is decorated in a high-tech style. The machine does have a few minor flaws, of course, but we don't mind them. I'll give you an example, since I mentioned it. The machine is quite noisy when filling with water, and it's not exactly quiet. However, the noise level of a washing machine is within normal limits, so it's not really a drawback.

The LG F12U1HBS4 was my gift to celebrate the birth of our baby. It's a great machine, although I was initially skeptical about all the bells and whistles like the steam function, but now I even use it. The extra rinse function is a huge help, as baby's clothes need to be rinsed thoroughly, otherwise there might be some detergent left over, which could lead to an allergic reaction. The drum is very roomy; if I didn't have to sort the laundry by color and fabric type, I could stuff the entire basket in there. I'm very happy with the washing machine; I have no complaints!

The steam function is a real godsend for me. Honestly, I didn't think about this feature when I bought the LG F12U1HBS4. The beauty is that if you suddenly need to freshen up non-washable items, you can simply place them in the drum, run the steam wash, and get almost clean clothes. The first time the steam function saved me was when I stained my work jacket. Here's what I did:

  • soaped the stain;
  • I put the jacket in the machine, having carefully folded it first so that the stain was on the outside;
  • started steam treatment;
  • When the process was finished, I took out the jacket and cleaned off the remaining dirt.

It turned out as if I'd taken my jacket to the dry cleaner. They managed to remove not only that stain, but also stubborn stains under the arms and on the sleeves, without damaging the garment. I've done similar things with coats and even sheepskin coats—the drum is large enough to handle it. Overall, I'm very impressed with the machine; I highly recommend it!

The LG F12U1HBS4 looks very nice. I wouldn't say its beauty was the main reason I chose it, but it was definitely one of the main ones, since I wasn't planning on hiding the washing machine in the furniture. I also liked the steam function; it leaves laundry feeling very soft and pleasant to the touch. I also noted that the rubber seal of the hatch almost does not need to be wiped after washing, since water does not accumulate there. Almost all automatic machines have this problem: if you don't wipe it off in time, the water will rot and start to stink, or worse, the rubber seal will start to rot and then need to be replaced. This washing machine won't have that problem.

I used it before Candy washing machineCompared to it, the new LG F12U1HBS4 is simply the "Wizard of Oz." It's incredibly beautiful, has an informative display, and has a ton of cool features. I also like that it's much quieter than my old one, so we sent the old one to the dacha to work on it, and now I can use advanced Korean technology at home.

I consider this washing machine's main advantages to be its large load capacity, quiet and economical operation, useful features like steam washing, and a very high-quality spin cycle. On a scale of one to five, I give this machine an A+!

At first glance, the car seemed very good, so I was lured by the pretty picture and bought the LG F12U1HBS4. In reality, this rather expensive appliance wasn't worth the money. After a month of use, I started noticing a loud creaking sound, some wobbling, and some knocking. The chrome started peeling, as did the paint on the sunroof. I have a feeling that in a year or two, this "beauty" will turn into a beast. Just now I noticed the pump roaring in its death throes, and I'm having trouble replacing it. It's a terrible machine; I'd give it a one out of five stars, no more.

I can't understand the point of a child lock if you can't lock the on/off button. Just yesterday, my son tried to get to the washing machine again while it was on, and I ignored him, thinking I'd locked it and he couldn't do anything with it. He poked the control panel, nothing happened, so he poked the off button, and the machine turned off. And now I'm still waiting for the washing machine to finish its cycle. It's a ridiculous situation.

Steam washing is a completely unnecessary function, what's the point of it, you just overpay. And I won't even mention phone diagnostics; in our backwoods, such technology is complete nonsense. I'm not happy with the car; it's a waste of money!

In three months of use, the machine broke down four times. For me, that's too much. It's not worth it, even with all the programs and features, but it's extremely unreliable. I don't recommend buying it!

After analyzing various opinions about the LG F12U1HBS4 washing machine, we concluded that most users consider it a good machine. It does have its shortcomings, as with any appliance, but overall, it's a good one. Happy shopping!
