Siemens WS10G160OE Washing Machine Reviews

Siemens WS10G160OE reviewsAlmost all Siemens washing machines cost over $350. This is due to the high cost of the high-quality components used to assemble them. While they certainly last longer than competing machines, consumers sometimes crave a surprise from their favorite brand, a special offer. And the company delivers. The Siemens WS10G160OE washing machine is currently available for $315. Let's see what customer reviews are available online for this model.

Men's opinions

Alexey, Moscow

When I bought the washing machine, I thought the top cover would come off, but it turns out it doesn't. Now I don't know how to fit it under the kitchen counter. I'd really like to install the washing machine with minimal modifications, so I'm actively searching for information on how to solve my problem. Maybe you know?

In 2014, when the cost of appliances started to rise, I invested all my spare cash in home improvements. This included a new refrigerator and washing machine. I've been especially lucky with the Siemens WS10G160OE washing machine, as it hasn't broken down or malfunctioned even slightly in three years. It's simply an indestructible German appliance; I couldn't live without it. It has so many advantages.

  1. Washes perfectly on absolutely all programs.
  2. Consumes little water and electricity.
  3. There is a digital display and electronic control.
  4. It has a narrow body, only 40 cm, but the drum load is not impressive, only 5 kg.
  5. The machine is fully protected: from leaks, from imbalance, from excessive foaming.
  6. It has a wide hatch through which you can throw in a heap of laundry, and it also has a delayed start of up to 24 hours.

My wife sometimes sets a long wash cycle for the night. So, the machine starts automatically at two in the morning, and by six in the morning (just before she gets up for work), it's finished.

My wife and I are very happy with our purchase. If this washing machine ever breaks, I'll only buy a Siemens replacement. I think there's simply no better technology out there.

The Siemens WS10G160OE is the most reliable washing machine I've ever used. It's been running for two years now and hasn't let me down once. It doesn't make any noise or vibration, it uses little powder or water, and the washing results are good. The spin could be better, but it doesn’t bother me too much, since I decided to buy it three years ago tumble dryerIt dries even poorly spun clothes perfectly. In my opinion, Siemens deserves a solid B!

I was very unlucky to get a faulty washing machine. The first thing I noticed during the first wash was that the display was missing some information. The display turned out to be defective. Five minutes before the end of the wash cycle, I noticed a small puddle right in front of the door. There were also a few drops of soapy water on the door itself. The service technician determined that the machine had three defects:

  • faulty display;
  • a deep crack on the hatch cover, which I didn’t notice at first;
  • faulty UBL.

The door locking device did lock the door, but it didn't do it correctly, causing water to leak onto the floor during the wash cycle, as the leak protection doesn't work in this situation. I don't think Siemens machines are bad; I think I was just unlucky.

I didn't like the washing machine mainly because you can't manually adjust the wash time and temperature. It's very inconvenient. I also don't like the annoying beeping sound at the end of the wash cycle, which you have to turn off. If you don't, you'll get tired of listening to it. They should do it like the LG one, where it beeps a few times and then shuts up. And of course, there's the unpleasant smell. It drives my wife crazy, because I don't find the smell of burnt rubber unpleasant. You open the door after a hot wash, and a very specific smell wafts through the house. I'm not happy with the purchase!

Women's opinions

Ekaterina, St. Petersburg

As long as it doesn't break down, it's a very good washing machine, but if a serious breakdown occurs, you'll end up in a situation like mine. Let's start from the beginning. Three years ago, I bought a Siemens WS10G160OE. It worked great for the first year, but when the warranty expired, it was like someone had replaced it.

  1. Loud noise appeared during washing and spinning.
  2. A puddle began to form under the hull.
  3. The display started to blink and go dark.
  4. During washing it sometimes started to hang up.

I didn't delay too long and called a repairman. He quoted me $145 for the repairs, including parts. Absolutely awful. You could have bought a crappy new washing machine for that kind of money. I paid, they fixed my Siemens, and it still works, but I'm incredibly unhappy that I had to spend so much. I don't recommend this machine to anyone!

Julia, Krasnodar

I like everything about this machine except the load capacity. The drum really doesn't hold much laundry, and it's simply impossible to wash any large, bulky items. It's beyond me why the manufacturer makes machines with such small drums, given the wide door and modern controls.

Elena, Vladivostok

I bought this machine four years ago for about $300, I don't remember exactly how much I paid. It's truly unmatched when it comes to washing. If you operate it strictly according to the instructions, it will not cause you any problems. I had an old Siemens, a purely German-made one, and it lasted 18 years before moving to the dacha. I turn it on there occasionally because it still works as if nothing had happened. The case is just a little rusty on the bottom. If I knew for sure that a new one would last the same amount of time, I'd pay twice as much for it. I highly recommend it!

Siemens WS10G160OE reviews

Tatyana, Ivanovo

I'm disappointed with my washing machine because it constantly malfunctions and twists the laundry. You take the laundry out of the drum all knotted up. It's even worse with my bed linens. They're dreadful to look at. After three washes, noticeable pilling appears on the sheets, and after eight washes, a hole appeared in my favorite duvet cover. I was simply stunned when I saw this. Don't buy the Siemens WS10G160OE; its quality leaves much to be desired!

By the way, the machine also dissolves the powder intermittently. Sometimes a huge lump accumulates in the tray, which is difficult to clean out.

Diana, Rostov-on-Don

I highly recommend this machine because it's truly excellent. It has great programs that let you choose the wash cycle you need. If you want to freshen up your laundry, use the quick wash cycle, but if you need to clean something really dirty, you can set it to a 4-hour cycle with a pre-soak. I've been using this machine for two years now, and it's been working just fine.
