Siemens WS12T440OE Washing Machine Reviews
Many people want expensive, brand-name appliances in their homes. They want them to be of decent quality and something they're proud to show off to friends. Yet, no one wants to pay a lot. It seems like the eternal paradox: I want a good, expensive item, but I don't want to pay for it. But no, this time, with the Siemens WS12T440OE washing machine, desire may just match what I can afford. It's a very decent, reliable model, and it's sold at a reasonable price. So what will customers say?

When I bought this machine, I thought I was buying something that would last forever. But now, a year and a half has passed, and I really want to get rid of it. I'll tell you everything in order. It all started when the salesman talked my wife and me into buying a Siemens WS12T440OE. It was a bit pricey, considering its specifications, but it's a brand, the epitome of reliability. I was a fool to fall for this hype; so many downsides have surfaced in the last eighteen months.
- There's no direct drive, and it looks like the belt is about to wear out. This is a major drawback for new washing machines.
- The touch buttons don't work well. Maybe my wife and I just have different fingers, but sometimes you hit something like that. The sensor is incredibly sensitive.
- The display shows a lot of unnecessary information, but what is needed is not there.
The screen displays energy consumption indicators (what the hell do they need them for), but the spin speed is not shown.
- The next drawback is hard to explain in words, but I'll try. The washing machine's motor is quiet, but it makes a low-frequency noise that really gets under my skin. If I sit in the kitchen next to the machine while it's rinsing or spinning, I get a headache after 10-15 minutes. And I'm not the only one; my wife complains too.
- It's best not to run the wash at the highest temperature. The machine will start to smell like burnt rubber, which means either there's something wrong with the heating element or the materials are generally poor quality.
Let's move on. When I bought it, I was quite excited about the large 7 kg drum. Finally, we'd save money on laundry and be able to wash larger items at home. But it wasn't to be. The machine can't handle all bulky items. The last time I couldn’t wring out the blanket, it froze, and the blanket was actually quite small. There are no separate water injection nozzles, so the laundry is only moistened with a solution of water and detergent, like in a regular old machine. This affects the washing results. I'm extremely dissatisfied; for $570 you can get a much better and more reliable machine!

My brother encouraged me to buy this washing machine. At first, everything was fine; the machine washed, and my wife was happy. Then, eight months later, the drive belt broke. A technician repaired the machine for us at the company's expense. He said the old belt had stretched out, and we had to install a new one. He also reassured us that the new belt would only last a couple of years, as Siemens parts have been getting pretty lousy lately.
So I bought a car at my own risk. To pay so much money and then jump around with it. It turns out it's worse than a cheap one.Indesit IWSB 5085 washing machine, which my mother-in-law has been washing for three years now. She periodically fixes it and then washes it again. I don't want that; I need a normal machine, but it looks like it's not meant to be!

A very quiet and affordable machine that washes like a charm. The best programs: 15-minute, 30-minute, and ECO wash. User control is available at all stages of the wash cycle. The modern touchscreen displays a wide range of information. It's all very cool, I'm very happy!

Siemens is Siemens, they've never made a bad washing machine, and the Siemens WS12T440OE is no exception. I've been using this washing machine for three years now and see no flaws. It's a decent, modern, high-tech machine. I highly recommend it!

This washing machine definitely isn't worth the money. They thoughtlessly crammed it with electronics; they don't help the washing process, they just get in the way. My old LG machine definitely did a better job. I give it two stars!
Women's opinions

The machine is incredibly smelly. When washing in hot water, it starts to smell like rubber. The detergent doesn't dissolve well, and a little detergent remains in the dispenser after each wash. Condensation accumulates on the front panel, and the touch controls are completely useless. I don't recommend it!
If you wash at 90 degrees the smell becomes unbearable.
Marina, Krasnoyarsk
I really liked the Siemens WS12T440OE. It's quiet, washes great, and saves water and energy remarkably well. The machine's energy efficiency is clearly visible on the display, which displays a summary of its energy consumption. The design, as always, is impeccable, a true German work of art. I'm very happy with the purchase!

The Siemens WS12T440OE has all the modern bells and whistles, including additional laundry loading and complete leak protection. There is an Impregnation mode that restores the water-repellent properties of membrane fabrics. I've never seen anything like this before. The controls are very intuitive and offer a lot of user options. Get this machine, you won't regret it!

I bought a Siemens on principle because my mom doesn't like any other washing machine. My previous Siemens with manual controls lasted almost 16 years. The new machine turned out to be very technologically advanced and washes even better thanks to all sorts of interesting modes. My mom hasn't mastered the controls yet, and I'm not very comfortable with them either, but I think we'll get the hang of it with time. The customer reviews are decent, so it's a decent machine; people aren't lying.
Alena, St. Petersburg
The large 7 kg load capacity is the main advantage of this automatic washing machine. The fact that it's assembled in Russia slightly dampens the joy of the purchase. For the price, you'd expect more, but the washing machine is still quite decent, so I can't complain. It claims to produce a maximum noise level of 78 dB, but that's probably not true, as the machine is quiet. It washes perfectly, and I'm happy with it.
