That's more complicated; even a layman can see that top-loading machines are less common in stores, meaning they sell worse and are more expensive. I'll mention the downsides, too, although they don't bother me too much. Firstly, there's no child lock feature. Secondly, it doesn’t spin very well, since the drum rotation speed during spinning is a maximum of 800 rpm. And thirdly, the washing machine is quite noisy, but not overly so. It's neither louder nor quieter than others. To sum it up, I like the machine, but it's not perfect, although for this price, it's hard to overlook the little things.

An inexpensive washing machine with reasonable features. It performs its basic function well. There's no display, but for this price, I'd be surprised if they included one. Most cycles are quite long, but the only way to wash clothes quickly and efficiently is by hand, and for some reason I don't want to get calluses on my hands. Five stars for the price and quality!

From the firstWhirlpool AWS 61012 washing machine I was very unlucky; I got a defective one. I returned it the same day I bought it and got a Whirlpool AWE 2215 top-loading washer instead.
