When I bought it, I was tempted by the low price and the seller's promise that the machine would be quiet. It's also a bit unusual: most washing machines have a front hatch, but mine is on top, which takes up less space. It does have one distinct drawback: the small drum. Agree, 5.5 kg is nothing these days! The last time I tried to wash a jacket, the machine froze in the spin cycle. I restarted the spin cycle, and the same thing happened. Otherwise, no complaints; it washes well!

I would have happily bought a regular automatic washing machine, especially since it's cheaper, but I had to buy the Whirlpool AWE 8730. The problem is that we have a small, empty corner in our bathroom that can't accommodate a front-loading machine, but a top-loading one fits just fine.

Almost any washing machine fits into our corner, but the problem is that a horizontal washing machine needs space in front to open the hatch, and there is no space in front.

I can't say I regretted the purchase. It turned out to be a very good washing machine, with all the necessary modern gadgets. What's in it?

1. The body is narrow and at the same time high, which allowed us to save space.
2. The drum has a capacious capacity of 5.5 kg, although it could have been 6 or even 7 kg.
3. Electronic intelligent control that is nevertheless simple.
4. Excellent washing programs provide excellent laundry care. Washes thoroughly and gently.
5. High-quality spin, but if your items are made of delicate fabric, you shouldn’t use 1200 rpm.
6. The machine has the necessary protection against leaks, imbalance, foam and other problems.

Overall, I don't regret that life forced me to buy a top-loading washing machine. I'm used to it now and I'm happy with it. But frankly, if we had a larger bathroom, I wouldn't have gotten this machine.

Well, what can I say, the machine is quite okay. It washes like all the others, no better, but no worse either. It’s easy to operate, but it makes a lot of noise during washing and especially during spinning. My sister has a Brandt washing machine at home, also a top-loader, but it's significantly quieter. If the drum had at least a 6 kg capacity, I'd give it a 5 star rating, but it only gets a 4.

This machine somehow smells downright cheap. The plastic on the body is easily dented with a finger, the lid has flimsy, loose fittings, and the power cord is so short. It's as if the manufacturer didn't want to waste an extra half meter of cord; it's completely overdone. I'm satisfied with the wash, rinse, and spin cycle so far, but I wouldn't give it a five. A three is just right.

I can't say anything definitive about the Whirlpool AWE 8730, as it's a 50/50 pros and cons. It washes and spins well, but the rinsing is terrible, thanks to the water-saving program. It has a spacious drum, but its doors constantly get stuck behind the plastic; I've already had to pry them out twice with a screwdriver. The body itself is narrow, allowing you to tuck the machine in almost anywhere, but it's made of low-quality materials and will lose its appearance in a year or two. My decision: if I bought the machine, let it work, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This machine also makes a loud noise at the very beginning of the spin cycle, when the drum starts to pick up speed.
