Whirlpool AWS 63013 Washing Machine Reviews

Whirlpool AWS 63013 reviewsAmong all the laundry machines, the Whirlpool AWS 63013 washing machine holds a special place. It features intelligent electronic controls, a slim design, and a spacious and reliable drum. Moreover, according to experts, it washes very well. These opinions about the machine should be considered superficial and not necessarily accurate, so we'll look for more reliable information in customer reviews.

Positive

Alina, Moscow

The washing machine looks very neat and fits perfectly into the kitchen decor. My husband couldn't fit it under the counter because we were a bit off on the height. But after looking through the instructions, he realized the top cover could be removed, giving him a few more centimeters of height. We did just that, and the machine fit easily under the counter. The machine features:

  • good wash;
  • average noise during operation;
  • a large number of programs of different durations;
  • good spin;
  • high efficiency.

The machine has a couple of downsides, which I learned about after a couple of months. Firstly, it cannot spin out too little laundry and freezes. It requires at least 1 kg of laundry to ensure the wash, rinse, and spin cycles run smoothly. Secondly, despite its capacious 6 kg drum, there's no program for down jackets and coats.

There are alternatives to the outerwear program (there are 18 modes to choose from), so I wasn't too upset, especially since I dry clean my outerwear.

This is a very good model, which I got as a gift from my parents a year ago. I've had the most positive experience using it. The machine is well-built and performs its function better than any other. It's easy to operate, and its electronics are reliable, which is crucial given our worn-out electrical system. Plus, it doesn't bounce or shake like the Indesit I once saw at a friend's place. That one is definitely worse than a jackhammer, while my Whirlpool is almost inaudible. I recommend it to everyone!

In the summer of 2016, I started thinking about buying a new washing machine. The thing is, my relatively new washing machine Indesit WIUN 105, gave up the ghost. I had to scrap it and rush to the store to find a new "home helper." For obvious reasons, I didn't consider the Indesit brand. I decided to get the Whirlpool AWS 63013.

Guys, the Indesit is so much worse than the Whirlpool. The Whirlpool is so quiet, sometimes I can't even hear it behind the closed bathroom door. I won't even mention the washing, because it turns out the Indesit only soaked the laundry, not washed it. Anyway, now I'm "happy as a clam." Why didn't I pay attention to the Whirlpool sooner? I guess he was trying to save money.

I didn't really think about whether this was a good car or not. I was attracted by the low price, since the seller gave me a personal 30% discount. I simply couldn't resist buying it.

When the washing machine arrived, my husband was upset that I'd bought it without consulting him. He sulked for a while, but eventually forgave me, because it turned out to be a truly wonderful machine. Judge for yourself: excellent European assembly, a spacious drum, digital controls, and simply brilliant washing results with minimal detergent consumption. This isn't just a washing machine; it's a housewife's dream!

Before choosing one washing machine or another, I thoroughly researched several models. I'm a techie by nature, so I focused on the internals rather than the design. I decided that the Whirlpool AWS 63013 washing machine offered the best value for money. Because it was assembled properly in Slovenia, I meticulously verified this by partially disassembling the machine.

It has a detachable tank, so if the bearings, universal joint, or other problems break, relatively inexpensive repairs can be made.

The machine also doesn't have any unnecessary electronics that can burn out. So, after weighing everything, I decided that in this price range, this is a great option for me. Incidentally, it also washes flawlessly.

I have been using the Whirlpool AWS 63013 for three years now, so I can confidently say that this machine is simply wonderful. It doesn't just wash well, it takes care of your laundry at the highest technical level. Let me give you an example. If you want your laundry to be less likely to wrinkle during machine washing, you can turn on the special "Anti-Wrinkle" program. The result will be items that require little or no ironing.

My Whirlpool AWS 63013 didn't even last a year. The control module burned out. As soon as it stopped turning on, I called a technician. He poked around a bit and said it was most likely the module that needed to be opened up and inspected. This saga lasted almost three weeks. During this time, I was without a machine and, consequently, without a manicure. They replaced the module, charging me almost $75 for the new part. I am very unhappy with my washing machine!

Inna, Volgograd

In my opinion, this machine deserves a low rating, despite some positives. Why do I think so? Firstly, it looks very cheap; it looks like no effort was put into the design. Secondly, it doesn't have a buzzer at the end of the wash cycle, and it washes really poorly. Thirdly, you can't change the wash temperature, which really annoys me. That's just my opinion!

Elena, Kazan

When a washing machine has such flaws, its advantages are somehow overlooked. It fills with water with a monstrous noise, and during the spin cycle, it feels like you're on an airport rather than a bathroom. The rinsing and spinning are disgusting, I can’t say anything bad about the washing, it seems to remove stains and takes all the powder from the tray.

You need the strength of Hercules to press the "start" button; I nearly dislocated my finger the first time I pressed it. The developers should remember more often that it's mostly weak girls, not strong men, who wash clothes in washing machines. The "Wool" cycle is completely incomprehensible. The entire wash cycle goes like this: the drum rocks and then stops, then rocks again and stops, all the time, with predictably terrible results. Don't buy this washing machine—you'll regret it!

It's also surprising that the Whirlpool AWS 63013 lacks such a basic feature as a child safety lock. Surely the developers could have taken care of such a small detail.

Yana, Moscow

A bunch of stupid features, a crooked, poorly designed display, and the filter that purifies the water is hard to reach. It's incredibly noisy, just awful, the clanking of metal is especially annoying. I was very surprised to learn that this machine was assembled by Europeans. Probably by those Europeans who fled Syria. I will never buy a Whirlpool again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Alena, Novosibirsk

Some of the Whirlpool AWS 63013's modes are a complete scam. The machine washes terribly on them, and it's unclear why they were even invented. But that would be half the problem. The washing machine is extremely unreliable; it's broken twice in a year and a half. Once, they replaced the pump under warranty, and the second time, we had to replace the door lock ourselves because the warranty had expired. I'm going to sell it before anything else breaks. I really don't want to invest in it!

    I've been using the machine for a little over two years; we bought it in February 2016. During that time, the water pump broke a year later in February. This year, the motor failed.
    They promised top quality, but the result was crap. I don't recommend it.

    I've had this machine for two years now, and it washes well, but it has its drawbacks. For example, the eco display is completely useless—it offers absolutely no functionality. It would be better if they had wash stages, like in other Whirlpool models! You can't change the wash time or temperature—that's definitely a drawback. It washes wool gently, as it should, so that's fine. And of course, the spin cycle—it won't spin one item! That weighing feature is completely unnecessary!
