Whirlpool TDLR 60810 Washing Machine Reviews

Whirlpool TDLR 60810 reviewsDisappointed with front-loading washing machines, people are looking for a good alternative. However, the Russian home appliance market has evolved in such a way that front-loading washing machines account for the majority of the market (over 84%). So, what's left? The only option is to choose between several top-loading models. The Whirlpool TDLR 60810 washing machine is one such example. We've just decided to review customer reviews, so join us.

Positive

Lyudmila, Magnitogorsk

Six months ago, I decided to buy a top-loading washing machine. The top-loading door makes loading laundry easier, and it takes up less space since I can put other items in front of the machine. So, after thinking it over, I decided to go for it.

While searching for a new "home helper," I set three conditions for the sellers. First, the machine had to be reasonably reliable. Second, the price had to be under $500. Third, it had to have a large enough drum, at least 6 kg. The Whirlpool TDLR 60810 met all my requirements. Over the past six months, I've noticed many more advantages.

  • Excellent spin, laundry comes out almost dry.
  • Protection from imbalance and children.

When my grandchildren come to visit, I turn on protection and wash calmly, without fear that the little rascals will interfere.

  • There is a program for washing wool, which I didn’t trust at first, but then I came around to it, since the machine doesn’t damage woolen items at all.
  • There's a great super rinse mode that I use often. Without it, removing detergent residue from bulky, absorbent items (like jackets or blankets) would be problematic.

Whirlpool TDLR 60810 reviewsThere is only one question that bothers me: how reliable is the machine and how long will it work for me. So far there have been no technical problems, but only six months have passed, anything can happen. I'll try not to think about it, otherwise I've started worrying about all sorts of little things. So far, so good.

I used the Ariston 104 washing machine for a long time and I really liked it. Now the 104 motor is used for cutting firewood at the dacha, because I made one. A homemade wood splitter powered by a washing machine motor, which I'm immensely proud of. It turned out to be a great machine and cost me only a few cents. I replaced the Ariston 104 with a Whirlpool TDLR 60810. It's certainly awkward in appearance, but it washes beautifully and does a lot. My wife gets almost all the laundry in at one go. She probably would have gotten it all in, but you can't mix coloreds and whites. Five stars!

It's hard to find anything better than this washing machine. It's compact yet spacious, and it runs for a long time without any issues or breakdowns, which is rare for modern appliances. Its simple and versatile design helps it fit into any interior. I'm happy with the purchase!

I chose the washing machine together with my brother Andrey, who's a washing machine repair specialist. The most important things for me were that the machine had a top-loading design, washed well, was reliable, and was easy to repair. We chose the Whirlpool TDLR 60810. It's a bit pricey for this setup, but spare parts are inexpensive, and it has a detachable drum, making it easy to replace bearings and seals.

It's been a year and a half now, and I haven't had to replace any bearings, seals, or anything else. Everything's perfect. There haven't been any problems at all, not even the slightest. Maybe the machine is afraid of my brother, or maybe it really is that good. I recommend it to everyone!

It's a decent machine; it's been washing and not breaking down for almost two years. In my opinion, if a machine doesn't make the owner think twice about it, it's a good one. I'm writing this review simply because a friend asked me to. I highly recommend it!

Negative

Dmitry, Rostov-on-Don

I am extremely unhappy with my new Whirlpool TDLR 60810 washing machine and here's why.

  • Firstly, it's incredibly noisy and bouncy. I've tried everything: I've put a special rubber mat under the case, leveled it perfectly, reinforced the tiled floor so it's now "cannon-proof," but nothing has helped.
  • Secondly, it has short hoses.
  • Thirdly, the assembly is simply terrible, the plastic edges of the case are sharp and burred. I seriously cut my hand on a sharp edge while installing it. It doesn't look like it was assembled in Europe. I don't recommend this machine to anyone!

The washing machine is very strange. It doesn't wash very well and exhibits some odd behavior. When switching from wash to rinse, the machine clicks, and when switching to spin, it clicks again. The display flickers strangely, and the machine shakes and vibrates like crazy.

In terms of quality, this is cheap Chinese, not Slovakia. Two stars!

I loved my washing machine until last week, when thick, acrid smoke suddenly started pouring out. It almost caught fire. I unplugged it and called a repairman, who arrived quickly, replaced some part, and left, wishing me a pleasant evening. It wasn't a pleasant evening, because I loaded the laundry, turned it on, and 15 minutes later, smoke started pouring out again. It's a good thing I was on guard this time. This is a terrible, unreliable machine that belongs in the trash. I'll throw it out and sleep soundly.

A poor model with outdated specifications. It's significantly overpriced. Competitors with identical components cost around $250, but I paid $450 for this one. I thought I was buying a good appliance from a reputable store, but it wasn't. It broke after eight months, fortunately, the warranty was still valid. Anyone looking for a good machine would be well advised to avoid the Whirlpool TDLR 60810.

I tried buying one from Citylink. The first one froze after 15 minutes. The mechanic said it needed to be replaced. I submitted a request for a replacement with the same model. I waited 10 days, same result. I bought an Electrolux. I don't know what to think. Either Whirlpool machines are bad, or the store is bad!

The Whirlpool is a terrible machine. The drum is full of burrs and tears clothes. I didn't check it right away when I bought it. I only started using the Whirlpool a year after buying it because we were renovating our apartment and didn't move in until a year later. The store's warranty had expired by then, so I couldn't return the machine. I'm planning to buy a different one.
