Electrolux Washing Machine Reviews
Electrolux EWF 1086 Washing Machine
Egor:
Good afternoon! We bought this machine back in 2007. It's been running great for a long time. It's barely noisy. It does everything well and never breaks down! We only had one problem. We recently changed the engine drive belt. We fixed it ourselves, without a repairman. And it cost us next to nothing. We only paid for the new belt.
All the internals look like new. Only a few are a little dusty. We did use a special descaler on the heating element, though. Maybe that saved it from further breakdowns. Simply put, this machine is a BEAST!!! A monster! I've never regretted buying it.
Pros: Simple and clear interface, can wash a lot of laundry at once.
Cons: The machine is very large in size. However, considering we have a lot of people living here, and it washes a lot at a time, this isn't really a negative. It's actually quite normal!)

I bought the car two weeks ago. And I've already found some downsides to it. Here they are:
- Sometimes the washing machine ruins things.
- If you set the spin speed to 1000 rpm, it shakes so violently that you can feel it in another room. And the machine was installed by professionals. And they used a level. Spinning at speeds above 1000 rpm is completely out of the question. After one experiment, I had to return the machine to the same position. It was shaking so much that it moved quite a distance from its original position. And it was making a lot of noise.
- There are some strange noises during washing. I think it's due to the motor drive belt slipping.
- Even with a regular rinse cycle and even an extra rinse, the quality of the rinse cycle leaves much to be desired. After washing, we often notice clumps of small debris. We remove them ourselves. The same things can also be found on the drum, door, and so on. Before starting a wash cycle, we have to first rinse the empty machine to remove this debris. Incidentally, this doesn't always help.
Pros: There's an option that makes ironing easier. At first, the machine wasn't that noisy and worked fine even at high RPMs. It's a shame it didn't last long.
Cons: Unusual noises during washing, shaking and making noise at high speeds. Sometimes it even damages clothes. Poor rinsing. Small debris and lint clumps remain.

We've been washing in this machine for over a year now. We spent a long time choosing carefully. We read a ton of information. We surfed various websites, forums, and so on. We read reviews, read about the various features, and much more. Finally, we decided to buy an Electrolux. We called stores, found out where they had one in stock and how much it cost. We saved up the money and bought it right away. We did it without any loans to avoid overpaying.
What did we like about it? Well, first of all, the dimensions. It's made just right for our kitchen! Secondly, there are so many different modes to choose from. Thirdly, you can set a washing mode that isn't included in the standard ones. That means you can customize the wash duration, the number of spins, and everything else.
I highly recommend purchasing pads for your washing machine right away. They reduce vibration during high-speed spin cycles.
Pros: I wrote everything above – read it)
Cons: If you load a lot of laundry at once, strange sounds may occur.

This machine is simply amazing! It washes, spins, dries – it does everything perfectly! If everything is set up correctly, your clothes won't be wrinkled even after drying. It's probably because of the large drum. In narrow models, it's the opposite, though, and things tend to get very wrinkled after drying. I used to have a narrow model. Compared to this one, it did a terrible job.
There's a special mode for refreshing your laundry. It evaporates unpleasant odors from your clothes. There's also an option that removes all wrinkles! And it does it just fine!
If you don't set the spin speed too high, it works almost silently. No squeaks, no whistling, no vibrations of any kind. Everything is perfect. I'm glad I bought such a charming helper)))
Pros: It has a steam and drying function. It also washes well. It's quiet. It looks nice.
Cons:I don't really like the way the orange letters on the display look. They don't really match the light colors of the car.
But that's not a significant drawback. Everything else is just fantastic!!!

I bought this washing machine after my Samsung broke. Its bearings wore out. It turns out washing machines used to be better. This one washes terribly! Electrolux has different program lengths, but none of them can wash my clothes properly. They all wash poorly! The cotton wash cycle with pre-wash is also strange. The pre-wash lasts 25 minutes. And the water doesn't even get hot during it! And the washing powder can't dissolve in cold water. After washing, it spends about an hour rinsing and another 15 minutes spinning. Similar odd behavior occurs with many other programs.
There's no warm water soak option. If your clothes are really dirty, no matter what program you set, it won't come out! The hand wash option for wool items was a complete surprise! The drum only spun once every two or three minutes! As a result, the wash quality, as you might have guessed, isn't the best.
There's an unpleasant whistling noise when washing. The Samsung I had for seven years made the same noise, but not as obnoxious! So this machine is something else entirely...
Pros: there are none.
Cons: It doesn't wash well, it's loud and annoying, and it has some weird washing modes. It's assembled in Ukraine.

Compared to my previous washing machine, this one was much quieter. The wash was quite good. The first few times I ran it, there were some strange noises. But then they went away. I guess some parts were just getting used to. The machine was new, after all. But then some glitches started. I started a program, but it didn't finish. It needed to run for a while, but it showed "drain." Meanwhile, it was actually rinsing. And when the wash was finally finished, there was a lot of water in the drum. It didn't drain. And the machine stopped. I started the drain separately, and the water drained out. In my opinion, this behavior is not normal for a new washing machine!
Pros: It doesn't make any noise during operation, has a user-friendly interface and comfortable controls, and a large drum.
Cons: Glitches often occur, perhaps something broke or was defective from the start.

The machine is about 15 years old. It's been working great, and we're happy with it. Just yesterday, it started vibrating loudly during the spin cycle, and when it stops, it bangs loudly against the door.
I bought an Electrolux EW962S washing machine in 2008 for $600. It stopped spinning a week ago. It had worked fine before, except for the increased vibration.
After Electrolux, I bought an Atalanta. We regretted it a hundred times. It doesn't wash well. And what difference does it make in this case, how long will it last?
