We present reviews of washer-dryers and dryers from various manufacturers. Each review includes the model, brand, purchase date, and the pros and cons based on the individual's subjective opinion. Here are the reviews.
BEKO DCY 7402 GB5
Alena Nikolaevna
Date of purchase: July 2013
Pros: spacious, can dry all bed linen at once, low price.
Disadvantages: after drying, there are foreign odors; even fabric softener doesn’t help.
I would never have bought a dryer, but I desperately needed one because my husband and I moved into a new apartment, and the windows overlook a wide street. Drying laundry on the balcony is possible, but it gets soaked with exhaust fumes, and drying it indoors is a no-go—it's damp. I happened to see an ad showing how a dryer works and wanted one.
Overall, I'm satisfied with its performance; it can dry 7 kg of laundry at once. It has gentle drying modes suitable for wool and silk. The price is reasonable; we got it on sale for $350. Similar models from other manufacturers cost $500–$600. The only thing I don't like is the unpleasant plastic smell of the laundry when you take it out of the dryer. At first, I thought it was because the dryer was new, but it seems to be permanent. I don't consider it a major drawback, as the smell goes away after ironing.
Important! Beko tumble dryers are among the cheapest, although their quality is quite acceptable.
BEKO DPS 7205 GB5
Alexandra Ivanova
Date of purchase: January 2015
Advantages: the dryer is installed on top of a regular machine, the laundry does not wrinkle after drying.
Disadvantages: It smells strongly of plastic, and it can only dry a small amount of synthetic and mixed items at a time, even though the manufacturer claims a 7 kg load capacity.
I love washer-dryers and wanted one that was both a washer and dryer, but I was afraid to sell my old Miele. It washes so well, and I don't know what I'll get next. Ultimately, I decided to keep the washer and buy a BEKO DPS 7205 GB5 dryer. I placed the two units side by side, although I could have stacked them. It's quite convenient: you take your laundry out of the washer, put it in the dryer, and it's dry in a couple of hours.
I thought that the dryer would wrinkle and ruin the laundry, but no, nothing of the sort, the clothes are easy to iron after drying. It's true that they smell quite strongly of phenols and other chemicals, and sometimes you even have to hang things out in the room to air them out, but it's still better than drying laundry on a polluted street.
SIEMENS WT 46B211 OE
Anna Matveeva
Date of purchase: October 2014
Advantages: dries well and quickly, easy to use, most items do not need ironing.
Disadvantages: together with the washing machine it takes up a lot of space.
This is my first tumble dryer, and I couldn't be happier. I used to have to hang clotheslines all over the house, but now drying it is a joy. The drum is spacious, a whopping 8 kg, and it fits in a week's worth of laundry. As the salesperson advised when I bought it, I figured out all the drying modes and now I can dry a variety of items without any worries.
I was most pleased with the ironing function. I hate ironing, ironing, and everything associated with it. But now, after the new dryer, I don't have to iron bed linens and many other things. I only have to iron shirts, T-shirts, and pants, but that's a minor issue. I recommend this model to everyone. It's a bit pricey, of course—the SIEMENS WT 46B211 OE is about $600—but it's worth it.

Date of purchase: September 2013
Pros: Easy to iron, holds a lot of laundry
Disadvantages: Electricity bills
A wonderful, albeit rather expensive, addition to a washing machine. I'm used to being a money-conscious person, so if it weren't for small children and a damp room, I would never have paid so much money even for such a useful appliance. Objectively, a dryer is truly very useful for a family with small children, as it quickly dries and disinfects baby diapers, so they barely need ironing. The dryer is very convenient, but you have to pay for convenience. Previously, we used 300 kW per month, now it’s more than 400 kW.
Recently, an unpleasant moldy smell has appeared from the dryer drum. I called a repairman; apparently, there's mold growing somewhere inside the appliance. They'll come take a look in a few days. I hope it's nothing serious; it would be a shame if it breaks completely.
Please note: Compared to 2013-2014, prices for dryers have increased.
BOSCH WTW85560OE
Sergey Chelobanov
Date of purchase: February 25, 2014
Advantages: no need to hang laundry outside, everything dries very quickly and carefully.
Disadvantages: too difficult to handle.
When the crisis hit, to avoid losing my hard-earned money, I spent all my savings on various household appliances, including a good, expensive Bosch tumble dryer. For that kind of money, it's practically space-worthy. It has a ton of intelligent modes for drying a wide variety of fabrics. My first experience with it was unsuccessful: I burned a new shirt and had to figure out the drying modes. I'm not exactly tech-savvy; I'm not very familiar with any piece of equipment. Using a tumble dryer wasn't easy for me, but after studying the instructions, I can now use most of the programs with ease.
With the dryer, the amount of laundry I need to iron has been significantly reduced, saving me an extra 1.5-2 hours a week. The dryer cost me $800, and I'm quite happy with the purchase; I give it an A+.
Elena Alexandrovna
Date of purchase: August 2015
Pros: dries a super large amount of laundry, clothes smell nice after drying.
Disadvantages: a bit noisy.
I was dying to buy a BOSCH tumble dryer. I saw one at a friend's place and really liked it. I used to be skeptical about this kind of equipment because my mother had the misfortune of buying an Italian tumble dryer and then didn't know where to throw it because it smelled strongly of plastic and broke down frequently. The BOSCH WTW85560OE is something completely different. Things smell very nice after using it, you don’t have to take out and pour out jars of water. The design is universal, it fits into our bathroom right away, I was really surprised.
Frankly, I expected more from such an expensive machine. It rattles like a tractor during the spin cycle, even though the manufacturer claims the noise level is no higher than 65 dB. It felt more than 65 dB, though I didn't measure it. I had to buy a special one for it. anti-vibration matIt's gotten a little better, but the noise is still annoying. By the way, our LG washing machine is just as loud when spinning at maximum speed, but drying should be quieter by definition, so it's unclear.
Please note! According to several ratings compiled by the Guild of Masters public organization, the BOSCH WTW85560OE is the best clothes dryer of 2015.
LG F12U2HDM1N
Sergey Kolomiets
Date of purchase: June 2014
Advantages: combination washer and dryer, built-in.
Disadvantages: the dryer has limited functionality and is not suitable for some fabrics.
My wife was pressuring me to buy a dryer to go with our washing machine. I kept making excuses, saying it was too expensive, but then our machine suddenly broke. The prospect of double-spending didn't appeal to me at all, but then I spotted an LG F12U2HDM1N with a dryer in the store. It was tempting: I'd paid 50,000 rubles for one appliance and got a washer and dryer combo. I talked my wife into it, and we bought it. I immediately liked the fact that the machine takes up little space, washes and spins quite wellThe seller claimed that this series is a built-in model, although we don’t need it.
We had some trouble with the drying function; it still took some getting used to. After a few tries, we got the hang of it and now dry many items directly in the machine. The drying function isn't at all suitable for delicate items, which upset my wife a bit, but overall, it's a very good machine for the price. The LG F12U2HDM1N washer-dryer is a good choice.
Important! Any washer-dryer will dry clothes worse than a dedicated tumble dryer.
In conclusion, summarizing the reviews we've provided, we can conclude that dryers and washer-dryers are fairly expensive, but very convenient appliances. LG, Siemens, and Bosch branded appliances received the most positive reviews.

The dryer should not rattle. It must be level.
