We are restarting the machine

Most Gorenje washing machines lack a dedicated reset button. Because of this, inexperienced users often resort to a simple but dangerous method of disconnecting the machine: simply unplugging the power cord. They then wait a few minutes and then plug it back in.

This is not a good idea. Disabling equipment in this manner is only permissible if it completely stops responding to keystrokes on the CM control panel. The danger lies in the fact that such a sudden power outage can damage the device's control board.

But how do you reset the washing machine if you can't unplug it? For this reason, the manufacturer has provided much safer reset methods. We'll describe one of them.

First, press the Start/Pause button, which most often remains in working condition.
Using the programmer, activate the separate spin program.
Adjust the spin speed by selecting the "No Spin" position.
Finally, activate the Gorenje washing machine cycle using the Start button.

These steps will allow the machine to drain the waste liquid immediately and finish the cycle quickly. You can then open the door to easily remove the laundry.

In rare situations, the washing machine stops responding to the Start/Pause button. In this case, you can restart the equipment by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds until the system turns off. After such a restart, you will have to wait 20-30 minutes, and then try to turn the machine on again.

If you're lucky, the washing machine will start in normal mode, allowing you to select and run any work cycle. In this situation, it's best to immediately enable self-diagnostic mode so the unit can check its key components and report the specific error that caused the system failure.

If you're unlucky and the machine continues to display an error code after restarting, you'll have to dispose of the waste liquid yourself using a waste filter. What should you do?

Make sure that the Gorenje washing machine is disconnected from the power supply and water supply.
Place dry rags or old towels on the floor to avoid damaging the floor covering.
Place a large container in front of the front panel of the washing machine to collect water, placing it near the waste filter.
Unscrew the filter cap half a turn so that water begins to flow into your container.
Once the liquid has completely drained, remove the debris filter and remove any remaining water from the system.

Gorenje appliances have a special hose near the filter, which is used for emergency draining of the tank. Therefore, instead of removing the filter, you can simply remove the plug from the hose to allow all the water to drain into a prepared container.

Under no circumstances should you attempt to do this with brute force, as there is a high risk of damaging the fragile mechanism. How to open the hatch door correctly?

Disconnect the Gorenje automatic washing machine from the power supply.
Check the drum to make sure there is no water in it.
Find a thin rope or regular fishing line, the length of which should be approximately 30 centimeters longer than the circumference of the machine door.
Thread the rope through the gap between the hatch and the body of the washing machine.
Pull it perpendicular to the floor, and then pull the rope hard from both sides.

If you don't have a suitable rope or fishing line at home, you can use a thin putty knife. Carefully insert it into the gap between the hatch and the wall of the frame, where the locking mechanism is located. Then, use the putty knife to locate the lock's tongue and try to pinch it open.

This will allow you to access the laundry inside the drum, but it won't solve the locking problem. To fix the problem, you'll need to diagnose the problem and either repair the door locking mechanism or the door locking mechanism.
