How to reset a Hotpoint Ariston washing machine?

Each type of household appliance has its own troubleshooting methods. A reset can be used to restore the washing machine's functionality. If the washing machine has been inactive for a long time, sometimes a reset is sufficient. This can help restore the machine to working order.

Options for restarting equipment

If your Ariston washing machine freezes mid-cycle and stops performing its intended functions, resetting the parameters and restarting the program may help. To restore functionality, press and hold the start button for 10 seconds. This will cancel the selected program. Afterwards, reset the parameters and restart the desired wash cycle.

It's possible your washing machine is an older generation automatic. In this case, simply move the program selector to the neutral position. When the program stops, the indicator on the control panel should turn green and then go out.
