The very first start-up of your Leran dishwasher is one of the most important steps in preparing it for a long period of use. Therefore, resist the urge to rush to check how well it cleans dirty dishes and run an empty cycle without any dishes. • A test wash will remove any grease, dirt, dust, and other debris that may have accumulated during factory assembly, warehouse storage, or installation at home.
• Operating the machine without dishes allows you to clearly see how well it's working. You can check how well it draws water, heats it, and drains it, how the liquid circulates inside the chamber, whether any remains after the cycle, and whether it stops working mid-wash.
• Finally, this is also a great chance to make sure that all connections were made correctly, and that the dishwasher itself is level and not pinching any electrical wires or hoses.

Just because there are no dishes in the wash chamber doesn't mean you don't need to add detergent, so don't touch the power button until you've loaded it with household chemicals. The easiest way to find the detergent drawer is on the door of the wash chamber.

Choose the type of chemistry that suits you, which is divided into powder, gel and 3-in-1 tablets. Therefore, it is better to add salt immediately before washing.

Don't forget to set the salt consumption rate, which directly depends on the quality of your tap water. The harder the water, the higher the salt consumption rate, which helps the ion exchanger soften the water. You can determine the hardness yourself using special test strips or by visiting the official website of your local water utility, which should publish up-to-date information on water quality. Only then can you open the water faucet, select the operating mode, and activate the device.

Don't rush to add dirty dishes to your dishwasher immediately after the test wash is finished. You should wait for the dishwasher to cool down first, as overuse can damage the heating element and pump.

Once the dishwasher has cooled down after a few hours, you can fill the baskets with dirty dishes, making sure to remove any food debris, napkins, fruit pits, tea bags, coffee grounds, and other debris, and also check that there is enough household cleaning products in the dispenser. Carefully place all cutlery in its place so that the dishes do not interfere with the free movement of the sprayer and the water has access to all dishes. Now you can activate the first full wash.

It's quite possible that starting the machine for the first time won't be as easy and quick as you imagined. However, this is okay, as over time you'll get used to the rules for arranging dishes, loading detergent, and other nuances, and the machine's preparation speed will return to normal.

• Never touch the operating device with wet hands.
