First start of the Bosch washing machine

First start of the Bosch washing machineAfter installing your washing machine and connecting it to the water supply, you might be tempted to quickly throw a load of laundry in and check the washing results. However, there's no need to rush; the first use of your Bosch washing machine should be done strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Failure to follow these recommendations can cause serious problems with the machine's operation.

Initial steps

So, when washing for the first time, you should first inspect the appliance and ensure it's ready for use. Also, don't forget to open the manual and learn the basic operating instructions. Familiarize yourself with the available features and basic programs. Before turning on the washing machine, pay attention to the following details.

  • Check that the hoses are securely fastened. The drain should be installed especially securely. When draining the used water from the washing machine, it could pop out and flood the bathroom.
  • See if everything is transport bolts Removed. They are necessary to protect the appliance during transportation, but must be removed before use. The holes in their place are replaced with special plugs, which you'll find included with your washing machine. If even one temporary bolt is left in place, it may cause a failure. To avoid making a mistake with their quantity, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.remove the shipping bolts
  • Open the door and inspect the washing machine drum. Make sure there are no foreign objects inside.
  • Remove all adhesive tape from the machine body. This tape is used to secure appliance parts.

Please note: Improper use of the intelligence control module can seriously impair the operation of the main control module.

At the end of the inspection, before the first wash, open the valve on the inlet hose. This is necessary to draw water from the water supply. After this, you can turn on the machine for the first time and use it as intended.

We put the equipment into operation

Bosch recommends running a dry run rather than washing items directly. Furthermore, it's important to be nearby and monitor the process at all times. This will help you quickly respond to any potential problems with your washing machine.

What is the correct procedure for starting the washing machine for the first time:

  • plug the washing machine into the power supply;
  • close the hatch until it clicks;
  • Pour washing powder or special gel into the appropriate compartment of the tray;
  • select a program by turning the round knob or pressing the buttons on the panel (the most frequently used mode is better);
  • wait until the machine finishes washing;
  • Inspect the washing machine and hoses; there should be no water leaks anywhere.starts a test wash

While the first wash cycle is running, listen carefully to the machine. Pay particular attention to any unusual noises. There should be no humming or grinding sounds when the machine is operating normally. After the wash cycle is complete, check for any leaks underneath.

Excessive vibration or bouncing should also be a warning sign. If the machine shakes or shifts during the wash cycle, check that it's installed correctly. An uneven bathroom floor could also be the cause.

Important! If you notice any unusual noises, such as grinding or humming, during the first wash, you should call a service technician.

It's not recommended to load items into the washing machine straight away for the first time. This is because the interior surfaces, hoses, and other parts may be contaminated with fluids or oils. It's easy to get a few stains on your clothes that will be difficult to remove. Furthermore, the main purpose of the first wash is to check the machine's functionality and troubleshoot any potential issues.

You can also wash your clothes

After you've run your first empty wash and verified the machine's functionality, you can begin loading your laundry. The interior of the washer is now thoroughly clean and ready for real work. Sort your laundry into whites, blacks, and colors, then begin washing.

  1. Before turning on the equipment, make sure that you have not exceeded the maximum permissible loading weight. Do not overload the drum, as this can easily damage the machine.
  2. Close the door and pour the detergent into the designated tray. The main wash is marked II; this is where the dry detergent goes. The middle section is for liquid fabric softeners.we load the laundry into the drum
  3. After this, you can turn on the washing machine. Select the operating mode based on the load. If necessary, adjust the temperature and spin speed.
  4. Press the start button.
  5. When the wash is finished, remove the clean laundry from the drum.

As you can see, there's nothing complicated about washing your first time. However, the owner should handle the appliance with care and be sure to read the instructions before use. Also, don't neglect the manufacturer's safety requirements.

    How do you open the door of a Bosch washing machine for the first time? There's no handle as such. Just pull where the handle should be. It's not written anywhere.
