First start of the Electrolux washing machine
Buying a new washing machine can be a real treat for a housewife. But keep in mind that the first time you use your Electrolux washing machine, you can ruin the experience if you don't follow the instructions. If you rush and don't follow the instructions, simply throwing in the first load and washing it, you can even ruin the washing machine. To prevent this from happening, we've prepared a list of recommendations to help you avoid problems during your first wash.
Preliminary preparation stage
First, thoroughly inspect the machine to ensure it's ready for use. Carefully read the manufacturer's instructions, familiarize yourself with all the washing modes, additional features, and other operating instructions. Then, perform a test yourself.
- Make sure all hoses are securely fastened. Pay particular attention to the drain hose. If it's not securely fastened, there's a risk of flooding your house when draining the used water from the washing machine.
- Make sure you've removed all the shipping bolts. The manufacturer installs them to ensure easy transport and to avoid damaging fragile components. Each bolt must be removed before starting the machine, otherwise the washing machine may be damaged. If you don't know the exact number of temporary bolts, please refer to the official instructions.

- Inspect the drum for any foreign objects. It should be empty.
- Finally, remove the adhesive tape from the device's body, which the manufacturer applies to secure parts so they don't come loose during transportation.
Be extremely careful when working with the intelligent functions of the machine, otherwise you may accidentally disrupt the operation of the main control module.
After all these steps, before starting your first wash, open the valve on the inlet hose. This will draw water from the water supply, allowing you to run the washing machine for the first time.
Test launch of equipment
Electrolux advises against immediately washing dirty items. The manufacturer insists on a test run without laundry to ensure the appliance is thoroughly cleaned from the inside and prevent any future staining. During the test, you must be nearby at all times in case any malfunction occurs in the machine. The correct order of actions during the first wash is as follows:
- connect the device to the power supply;
- close the hatch, activate the "Power" button;
- add powder or gel to the detergent compartment;
- select the desired washing mode, it is advisable to use the most popular program;

- Wait until the work is finished, checking from time to time if everything is in order with the washing machine;
- Inspect the equipment and all hoses to ensure there are no puddles or water leaks.
During the test, listen carefully to the machine's operation, paying attention to any extraneous noises.
If everything is working properly, there shouldn't be any unusual sounds, such as humming or grinding. The equipment also shouldn't vibrate excessively, bounce around, or move significantly.
If any of the above occurs, you should double-check that the machine is installed correctly or even call a professional. Also, consider uneven floors in the house, which could be the cause of noise and vibration.
First full launch
After a successful test run, you've verified that the machine is working properly and all its internal components have been cleaned. Only now can you begin the first real wash. Sort out your white, black, and colored clothes, and then begin washing.
- Load the laundry. It's important not to overload the drum, otherwise you could seriously damage the washing machine.
- Close the door and add laundry detergent to the main wash compartment marked "II." The middle compartment is used for liquid fabric softeners.

- Set the desired washing program, adjust the temperature and spin, and then start the operation.
- When you hear the end of the process signal, remove the clean clothes and leave the machine to dry.
This completes the first wash cycle. It's not particularly difficult, but if you want your appliance to last a long time, you shouldn't neglect it. Handle your washing machine with care, observe safety precautions, and follow the instructions and manufacturer's guidelines, and everything will be fine.
