Is it worth buying a Biryusa washing machine?
A few years ago, when choosing washing machines, most buyers preferred brands like Bosch, Miele, LG, Siemens, and others. Today, the price of such appliances has risen, so many are forced to look for alternatives. For example, consider appliances from Russian or Chinese manufacturers.
Is a Biryusa washing machine worth buying? How reliable are the appliances produced under this brand? What do experts and ordinary users think? Let's delve into the details.
What do the experts think?
Currently, Biryusa washing machines are among the most affordable on the home appliance market. The Russian brand acts as the customer, and the washing machines themselves are assembled in China. The company provides a two-year warranty on the equipment it produces.
The Biryusa washing machine lineup isn't particularly diverse. There are about 20 models available. However, among them, you can choose from machines with varying maximum load capacities, from 5 to 12 kg. Therefore, finding the "perfect" washing machine shouldn't be a problem.
The build quality, functionality, and appearance of Biryusa automatic washing machines are in no way inferior to more expensive washing machines from foreign brands.
Biryusa washing machines are well-built. The housing is reinforced, and the internal metal parts are treated to prevent corrosion. The wiring is neatly routed. The electronic module is located at the top of the housing, preventing damage in the event of a leak.
The most affordable models have a standard motor—a commutator motor with a metal pulley. These machines are equipped with motors from the renowned Welling company. The heating element is located at the rear, allowing for easy access.
More expensive Biryusa washing machines are equipped with an inverter motor. Direct-drive models start at $250, which is quite affordable compared to similar machines from foreign brands.
The shock absorber holes are capped, and the drain hose has a special vibration-damping gasket. A reinforced bracket is used to mount the pump. All of this speaks to the high build quality of Biryusa washing machines.
Biryusa washing machines are also easy to repair. The manufacturer has ensured trouble-free diagnostics. All internal components are easily accessible. The washing machine's drum is detachable, so replacing the drum bearings is easy if necessary.
Ordering parts for washing machine repairs is easy. Spare parts are inexpensive, so if your machine breaks down, you won't have to spend a lot of money on repairs. Typical faults with Biryusa washing machines are the same as with other brands:
- wear of electric motor brushes;
- heating element failure;
- clogged filters;
- damage to drum bearings;
- stretching the drive belt.
Biryusa washing machines have only recently been on sale, so there are no statistics yet on electronic failures or bearing lifespan.
However, much will depend on the operating conditions of the appliance. It's important to level the machine, adhere to the maximum load weight, prevent imbalance, and protect the washing machine from power surges. This will prevent repairs to these parts from being required for a long time.
Biryusa washing machines have a very stylish appearance. The lineup comes in white and gray. The design is modern, and most models feature a digital display. The door hook and hinge are made of metal, a rarity; these parts are usually made of fragile plastic.
The programmable features are varied. Some models offer 14 washing modes, while others have up to 23 algorithms. Finding the right settings for different types of fabric will be easy.
Should you buy a Biryusa washing machine? It's worth a try. Judging by the build quality, the machine will last a long time with proper care and user compliance. The low price is another argument in favor of washing machines from this Russian brand.
Positive opinions from owners
The cost of models from a Russian manufacturer is low, compared to similar machines from foreign brands. You can buy a Biryusa washing machine for 5-6 kg of laundry with good software for $150–$170Many people are attracted by the price of the equipment, but how does it actually work? Customer reviews can help you figure this out.

I bought this washing machine a long time ago, and there were no reviews. I didn't have much time to choose, as my budget was limited. I settled on the inexpensive Biryusa WM-ME610/04. I took the risk and ordered this washing machine, and I haven't regretted it for a second.
This is a very good machine, well-built and stylish. It's quiet and doesn't shake during operation. Despite its small size, it holds a decent amount of laundry (up to six kilograms) and has a variety of wash programs. It has a delayed start option of 3, 6, and 9 hours, which is important to me.
The Biryusa WM-ME610/04 doesn't damage clothes and cleans out any stains effectively. I'm happy with my purchase and now recommend this brand to my friends. I haven't encountered a single issue with my machine in all the time I've been using it.

I used a Samsung washing machine for 15 years. When it was time to buy a new one, I couldn't decide for a long time. Prices for this brand's appliances are currently sky-high, and many cheaper, but no less attractive models have appeared on the market.
I decided to settle on the Biryusa WM-MK714/03 washing machine. It features an inverter motor, a touchscreen LED display, a 7 kg drum, a steam function, and many other features. It looks so stylish, I don't even want to hide it from prying eyes. I bought this model for $250.
You can purchase a multifunctional Biryusa washing machine with an inverter and steam option for $250–$270.
What I want to say is that my new Biryusa washing machine is in no way inferior to the Samsung. Not in terms of quietness, not in the number of modes, not in the quality of the wash. A nice bonus is the large and easy-to-use display, which displays all the information about the cycle stages.

When choosing a new washing machine, we decided on the Biryusa WM-ME712/04. We were drawn to this model for its spacious drum, affordable price, and wide range of programs. We've been using it for less than a month, and haven't encountered any issues.
The machine came with foam blocks. At first, we couldn't figure out what they were for, but after reading the instructions, we discovered the washing machine has no bottom, and these blocks are glued to the bottom as sound insulation. After that, the machine really did become quieter.

I bought a Biryusa WM-MK814/03, and I couldn't be happier with my new "helper." I'd give it a 5 out of 5, or even a 10 out of 10. I have plenty to compare it to—I've used Bosch, Beko, and a fancy Electrolux (while moving between rented apartments). But this machine is simply out of this world.
Among the main advantages of Biryusa WM-MK814/03:
- possibility of adding more things;
- spacious drum for 8 kg of laundry;
- very quiet operation;
- many washing programs;
- inverter motor;
- steam treatment function;
- low power consumption.
All preconceptions about the Russian brand Biryusa were shattered immediately after the first wash. My machine isn't on a level floor, but it spins very quietly, without any bouncing or shaking. The appearance of the washing machine is simply stunning. It looks incredibly stylish, as if it cost $50, not $250.
I'm very pleased with the machine's functionality. It has a huge number of modes, including those for baby clothes, cotton, synthetics, and outerwear. And the 90-degree wash with steam is a lifesaver when it comes to cleaning dog bedding. It also features a delayed start, a dashboard lock, imbalance monitoring, and other interesting features.
If you're still unsure whether to buy a Biryusa washing machine, I can dispel your fears. At least my machine is no worse than the more expensive Bosch or Electrolux, which I used before. The Biryusa WM-MK814/03's wash quality, functionality, and appearance are top-notch. And the price of $250 for an inverter washing machine with these features is, in my opinion, even underestimated.
Negative opinions from owners
Not all users are 100% satisfied with their purchase. Some Biryusa washing machine models also have negative reviews. What do customers dislike?

I recently purchased a Biryusa WM-ME610/04 washing machine. I'll start with the pros, as they significantly outnumber the cons. The pros include:
- price – at the time of purchase it was one of the cheapest automatic machines, it cost $160;
- absence of strong vibration – the washing machine hardly shakes during the spin cycle.

I found many more shortcomings with this model. First, the washing machine arrived with a loose front panel. The panel was simply not secured on one side, causing the front panel to be askew. Therefore, the main drawback is the assembly.
Secondly, the machine is very noisy while running. It doesn't shake, but there's a constant banging or whistling sound coming from somewhere. It's likely that there's something else missing in the washer besides the front panel that's constantly dangling during the cycle.
Thirdly, the machine emits a persistent smell of burnt plastic during the spin cycle. It seems like it's about to not only fall apart but also burn. After 10 washes, the bearing started whistling.
I don't even know whether to contact the service center or ask for a replacement washing machine. I don't think another automatic machine in this price range will perform better. I might fix this one by fixing the front panel. But if you don't want to follow the Russian-Chinese manufacturer's lead, it's better to buy a different washing machine, not a Biryusa.

I purchased a Biryusa WM-ME610/08 washing machine in December 2022. I read customer reviews and noticed that the washing machine sometimes didn't spin properly. However, I ignored this, thinking it was a manufacturing defect. Otherwise, I was satisfied with the price: $190, a 6 kg drum, an A+ energy efficiency rating, and a variety of wash programs.
The machine washes really well, but the problems with the spin cycle are apparently not a manufacturing defect, but some kind of pattern. After two months of regular use, the washing machine refused to spin the clothes twice. It would seem that there is nothing to worry about, although this shouldn’t happen at all.
In early March, the washing machine stopped spinning completely. I found the phone number for the nearest service center, but I was so busy I forgot to call them. Two days later, I tried washing again, and the cycle completed successfully, including spinning at maximum speed.
Two weeks later, on March 25th, the washing machine stopped spinning again. This is really annoying and frustrating. I'll definitely contact the service center to have it repaired or replaced under warranty. My review is meant to warn people that this model does have spinning issues. It's best to consider another Biryusa machine without such "surprises."

It so happened that my Hotpoint Ariston, after 14 years, stopped working. Friends recommended Biryusa. I listened and bought the WM-MG914/07 model. A similar Haier was 10,000 rubles more expensive—why pay the extra, I thought.
I ordered a Biryusa from the official website, and it arrived two weeks later. I was impressed by the huge drum, which holds 9 kg of laundry, the touchscreen display, and the appearance. That's about it. The detergent drawer is incredibly inconvenient—too narrow. We struggled with connecting the machine to the water supply for a long time, and ended up using a hose from an old washing machine.
Of the 16 programs stored in the machine's memory, only 3 work! The remaining modes return errors. Even the rinse and spin cycles leave much to be desired. So, I've given up on the Biryusa program for good.
