Rinsing on a Candy washing machine

Rinsing on a Candy washing machineMany housewives, wanting to completely remove detergent residue from fabric fibers and eliminate detergent odor, turn on the "Extra Rinse" option in the main cycle. However, Candy washing machines don't have this feature. This doesn't mean the Italian brand's machines don't have a similar function. The option is there, but it's simply called "Rinse." The algorithm works in a similar way. Let's look at how to turn on the rinse cycle in Candy washing machines.

Activating the rinse function

Why is this function provided on Candy washing machines? The special "Rinse" option allows you to additionally "spin" the laundry in clean water to completely remove residual detergent from the fabric fibers. It can be connected to the main cycle or launched separately after the program has completed. The cycle lasts from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the drum load, the type of items, and other factors.

Experts recommend always activating the additional "Rinse" function when washing children's clothes, bed linen, and towels.

Powder granules "stuck" in fabric fibers can cause allergies and skin irritation in children and adults. Therefore, it is important to use an additional rinse cycle when washing underwear, bedding, and items for allergy sufferers.

Activating this option is very easy. The rinse icon on the Candy machine is represented by a basin with a spray of water from the shower head directed into it. Alternatively, there may simply be a corresponding text on the control panel.rinse icon on Kandy

The function is launched as follows:

  • turn on the washing machine;
  • load the laundry, add detergent;
  • select the desired washing mode;
  • press the button corresponding to the “Rinse” mode;
  • activate the cycle.

This option works similarly to the "Extra Rinse" algorithm found in other washing machines. The machine fills the drum with a large amount of water, warms it slightly, and spins the drum at varying intensities. This mode completely rinses detergent residue from the fabric fibers.

Other programs and functions of SM Candy

The program and additional option symbols on Candy machines will differ from those on other brands. Therefore, if you previously used an LG or Bosch machine, you'll have to get used to the new symbols. A description of all washing modes is provided in the equipment instructions.

Before using the washing machine, we recommend that you read the user manual to understand the main symbols on the control panel and the description of the washing modes.

We'll explain the different modes available on Candy washing machines. We'll also describe which icons on the control panel represent which programs.

  • Aqua Plus. The image depicts a "+" sign and two drops of water. When this algorithm is activated, a cycle with an extra rinse is activated. Ideal for washing children's clothing, bed linen, and underwear. The cycle duration is 30-40 minutes.
  • "Intensive." Symbolizes a shirt with stains. This cycle is designed for washing heavily soiled items. The cycle temperature ranges from 60 to 95 degrees Celsius. It is suitable only for "durable" fabrics such as cotton, linen, and blended fabrics. Do not wash satin, wool, or lace items. When this cycle is activated, the machine runs for almost 3 hours.
  • "Delayed Start." A dial with an arrow. An additional option that allows users to set a convenient cycle start time. Depending on the model, the delay can be set from 1 to 24 hours.
  • "Wool." An image of three skeins of wool. This delicate cycle is designed specifically for washing woolen items. The water in the drum is cool, and the cycle lasts about an hour. The drum speed is at its lowest.
  • "Express Wash." A basin symbol with the number 32 written on it. This is a quick cycle lasting half an hour. Ideal for items that just need a quick refresh. The water temperature is heated to 30 degrees Celsius.draining water in a Candy washing machine
  • "Pre-Soak." A basin with the letter "P" drawn inside. This program should be run when washing very dirty clothes. It's important to remember to pour the detergent into both compartments of the dispenser at once. The program lasts 170 minutes.
  • "Drain without spinning." Designated by the "Z" symbol, this option is used for fabrics that should not be spun.
  • "Sportswear." The cycle is labeled "Sport." Wash in warm water, heated to 40 degrees Celsius. The cycle lasts 70 minutes.
  • "Mix and Wash System." This algorithm is designated by the abbreviation "M&W." This mode allows you to load a variety of fabrics into the washing machine drum. The cycle duration is 3 hours.
  • Cotton. This cycle is suitable for everyday use. Ideal for washing natural fabrics. The water temperature and spin intensity can be adjusted.Candy programs with icons
  • "Hand wash." A picture of a basin with a hand inside. This cycle is specifically designed for items requiring gentle care. The water temperature is only 30 degrees Celsius, and the spin cycle is performed at the lowest speed.
  • A shirt symbol with a spiral and diagonal lines around it. This option will help improve the quality of the fabric after washing. By pressing the button, you can activate the conditioning and fragrance settings in addition to the main mode.
  • Snowflake design. Another short cycle lasting 50 minutes. Washing is done in cold water and is suitable for lightly soiled laundry. Energy consumption is minimal.
  • "44" indicates a quick wash, lasting 44 minutes. Suitable for lightly soiled items. Kilowatt consumption per cycle at these settings is minimal.
  • "Super Rinse." This option is also indicated by a basin into which the shower jets are directed, but their position is vertical rather than diagonal. When connecting the function to the main cycle, the washing duration is increased by 30-40 minutes.

Users of most Candy models may be surprised that there are no markings around the programmer indicating the washing program. The programme is selected based on the fabric type. There are icons around the dial, along with water temperature indicators. What symbols are we talking about?

  • Leaf. Indicates a program set for washing delicate fabrics. Heating temperature and spin intensity are adjustable. The drum rotates smoothly, with long pauses. The tank fills with more water than usual.
  • Kolba. Algorithms for washing synthetics and combined fabrics.
  • Ball of Yarn. These settings are ideal for washing woolen items. Garments are rinsed thoroughly, while exerting minimal mechanical stress.
  • A cloud with an arrow below. A set of wash cycles for durable fabrics. Intensive treatment is recommended.

Before starting the wash, sort all dirty items by fabric type. Then, use the programmer to select the appropriate mode. Finally, press the "Start" button. This will initiate the cycle.

To avoid confusion with the "encrypted" control panel, it's worth studying the instructions for your specific Candy model. The user manual contains all the necessary information on how to connect and start the washing machine. It also provides a detailed description of all available modes.
