Hisense washing machine modes
All automatic washing machines operate on the same principle. Every washing machine has programs for washing basic fabric types: cotton, wool, synthetics, silk, and mixed fibers. However, each model has its own unique features. What do Hisense appliance manufacturers offer?
Let's explore the basic modes of Hisense washing machines. We'll also explain the additional features available on this Chinese brand's washing machines. We'll explain how to launch a program, adjust its settings, and activate additional options if needed.
Main programs with descriptions
Even if you've been using a washing machine from another brand for a while, it's still a good idea to get to grips with the software inside your new Hisense. The cycle settings are similar, but each model has its own unique features. You might not even realize what your new "home assistant" can do.
A description of all washing modes and auxiliary options is available in the instructions for the Hisense washing machine.
So the first thing you should do is check your user manual. The correct choice of mode determines the washing result. If you use the wrong algorithm, you might not get rid of dirt and irreparably ruin your favorite items. What software features do modern Hisense dishwashers have?
- Cotton. A universal algorithm found on all models. Designed for durable, natural fabrics like cotton and linen. Acceptable soil levels range from normal to heavily soiled. This mode includes a "Prewash" option. The cycle temperature can be adjusted from minimum to maximum.
- Colored cotton. The algorithm is similar to the previous one. The wash temperature is lowered to preserve the colors of the items. You can't set it to 95°C; this cycle only goes up to 60°C. Maximum spin is automatically selected.
- Synthetics. This cycle is designed for care of synthetic fabrics. The base wash temperature is 40 degrees Celsius. It is also suitable for lightly to moderately soiled cotton.
- Mixed Fabrics. This program allows you to wash items made from different materials together. Delicate items require special care, excluding delicate items. The cycle temperature is 20 or 40 degrees Celsius. Only half-loads are allowed.
- Baby clothes. Special algorithm for children's items. Antibacterial treatment of fabrics (at a temperature setting of 95°C). Ideal for diapers, rompers, undershirts, and bedding. Drum load: half full.

- Shirts. This program is ideal for washing blouses and shirts made of cotton, linen, and mixed fabrics. The cycle temperature can be adjusted from 20 to 60°C. Spinning is performed at 800 rpm.
- Dark Items. A separate cycle for dark textiles. Spin at maximum speed, wash temperature at 20°C, 40°C, or 60°C.
- Sportswear. This program is suitable for washing workout clothes, activewear, and sleeping bags. The maximum wash temperature is 40°C. A "Soak" option can be added to this program.
- Down items. This cycle is for items with natural and synthetic fillings. Suitable for outerwear, pillows, blankets, and soft toys. The default wash temperature is 40°C.
- Silk/Delicates. This cycle is designed for very delicate fabrics prone to deformation. The drum rotates as smoothly as possible, with items soaking in water for most of the cycle. The temperature is set to 20°C or 40°C. The clothes are spun at the lowest speed.

- Wool. Another delicate cycle. Specifically designed for woolen items suitable for machine washing. The water in the drum heats up to a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius. The spin speed is set to the lowest setting, or the cycle can be turned off completely.
- Quick 15. A 15-minute cycle for clothes that are practically unsoiled. Best suited for new items or those that simply need a refresh. The drum holds only 1 kilogram of laundry. Spin speed: 800 rpm.
- Drum self-cleaning. Not for laundry. This algorithm is designed to clean the inside of the washing machine, remove dirt and limescale, and perform antimicrobial treatment. It runs with an empty drum but with detergent.
The Hisense washing machine control panel also features "Rinse + Spin" and "Spin" modes. These are available in addition to the main cycle. Hand-washed items can be rinsed and spun in the machine.
Additional options for the Hisense washing machine
In addition to the basic modes, Hisense machines also have auxiliary options. Additional functions help improve washing efficiency. Their description is also included in the equipment instructions.
What extras do Hisense washing machine manufacturers offer?
- Pre-wash. Activated when the drum contains heavily soiled items. The main cycle time is extended by 20 minutes. The laundry is then soaked in soapy water.
- Delayed End. This option allows you to start your wash cycle at any time (with a delay of 3, 6, 9, or 12 hours). For example, at night, when electricity is cheaper.
- Child lock. A useful feature that makes the control panel insensitive to button presses. This prevents children from interrupting the cycle or changing the wash settings.

- Reload. This option is not available on all Hisense models. What does it do? You can add items to the drum after the cycle has started.
Additional options are connected to the main cycle by pressing certain buttons on the control panel.
To select "Prewash," simply press the option button once. To activate "Delay End," you must:
- select a washing algorithm;
- in standby mode, press and hold the “Temperature” and “Spin” buttons for 2 seconds;
- Use the same buttons to set the desired delay time;
- Press the “Start/Pause” button (after this, the countdown of minutes until the start of the cycle will begin).
To activate the child lock on most Hisense models, press and hold the "Prewash" and "Spin" buttons. To deactivate the feature, repeat the process. To add more laundry to the drum, simply pause the cycle using the "Start/Pause" button.
Launching and modifying the program
Turning on a Hisense automatic washing machine is very simple. Even a child can handle it. The steps are as follows:
- sort things;
- throw a batch of clothes into the drum;
- close the hatch door;
- add laundry detergent (powder, gel, and, if desired, rinse aid) to the dispenser;

- Plug the machine's power cord into a power outlet;
- turn on the washing machine using the button;
- Use the programmer to select the desired washing mode;
- if necessary, adjust the cycle temperature and spin speed;
- activate additional options;
- start the cycle with the Start/Pause button.
The machine will begin washing. Hisense will alert you when the cycle is complete with a beep. After unloading the laundry, simply wipe the drum walls, dry the detergent drawer, and leave the door slightly open for ventilation.
