However, recently, the domestic market has seen a steady stream of "home helpers" from the previously unheard-of brand Hi. Let's explore this Hi washing machine manufacturer and whether it's safe to buy products under this brand.

Where did this Hi come from?

While little is known about the Hi brand, almost everyone has heard of the company behind it. The thing is that the products under the brand Since 2019, Hi has been actively produced and distributed by the well-known Eldorado chain in our country. It all started with creating budget-friendly Smart TVs with Full HD resolution, and has now expanded to include affordable laundry appliances. In almost five years, the company has significantly expanded its product range and improved build quality, so now you can find not only TVs in its stores but also built-in kitchen appliances, kettles, blenders, mixers, and more.

The brand can easily be confused with the Chinese brand Haier, but this should not be done, since the competitors only have similar names.

Although Hi products are relatively new to stores, they have a rich history. For example, many remember the old Elenberg televisions, DVD players, and radios that were widely available at the end of the last century. This was another of Eldorado's own brands, which it used long before Hi. Also worth mentioning is the popular HiTechnic service, created in 2007 by the same home appliance retailer. Its staff helped customers set up computers and mobile phones, installed split-system air conditioners, and performed many other services.

Now that we've sorted out the origins of the new brand, we only need to delve deeper into the term "private label." Naturally, the employees of Eldorado's sales floor, warehouse, and head office have virtually no connection to the assembly of Hi washing machines. PL (private label) is an abbreviation for "private label," which indicates that the company has taken responsibility for the entire production process of a certain type of product, then distributed it throughout its network.

When a company knows where equipment is assembled and what it's made from, it's easier to influence the final process, set prices, and distribute them. Therefore, Eldorado representatives can be confident in the products they sell from their warehouses, ensuring good quality and reasonable prices.

One of the company's goals is to produce affordable equipment for the mass market. It's important to understand that "affordable" in this case doesn't mean low quality. While the company certainly saves on production, these savings aren't due to the quality of components or assembly. Eldorado saves by dealing directly with manufacturers, bypassing intermediaries, and by avoiding large advertising and logistics costs. Because the company has contracts with manufacturers in the Russian Federation and Belarus, it avoids expensive transportation costs for supplies from China, South Korea, and other countries, and the subsequent long waits.

Where are Hi cars made?

As for specific details about Hi products, this brand offers both standard washing machines with a maximum drum load of 5-6 kilograms of laundry, as well as spacious models with a whopping 10.5 kilograms. The standard load is usually sufficient for a small family that tends to collect dirty clothes throughout the week and do a sort of deep wash on the weekends.
