Where are Vestfrost washing machines manufactured?

Where are Vestfrost washing machines manufactured?When we think about buying a washing machine, well-known brands like Samsung, Bosch, or Miele often come to mind. They're functional, reliable, and durable, but they're not cheap. And the more features, the higher the price. But what if you're looking for an option that offers the best value for money? Then consider the Vestfrost line of washing machines. Those born in the USSR remember this brand's appliances (refrigerators, electric stoves), but few know who makes Vestfrost washing machines today.

In which country are Vestfrost washing machines manufactured?

The country of origin is Turkey. Vestel, which completely acquired the Danish brand in 2008, is based here. The entire Vestfrost model line rolls off the assembly lines at its Manisa plant. Therefore, it's fair to say that this is the second time Vestfrost products have entered the Russian market.Vestel plant in Turkey

Both the components and design of these washing machines are virtually identical to those of Vestel machines. This is not surprising, as modern Vestfrost models are developed by Turkish engineers.

Brand history

Founded in 1963 in Denmark, Vestfrost began its operations manufacturing refrigeration equipment. Since Scandinavia was a major fish exporter, its products were in demand. In 1973, Vestfrost became part of the Electrolux group and developed in two areas:

  • Household — production of household appliances for the home (refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, etc.);
  • Solutions — production of professional equipment (refrigeration units for the HoReCa business segment).

Vestfrost revolutionized the household refrigerator market by producing refrigerators in any color, tailored to the customer's wishes. In 1979, the millionth refrigerator rolled off the production line, and over 12 million have been sold since its inception. By 1990, 96% of the company's output was exported. For this achievement, the company was awarded the Danish King Frederik IX Prize. And in 1996, it received the international ISO: DSENISO 9001 certificate for the reliability and environmental safety of its products. Two years later, the Society for Environmental Protection, for the first time in history, granted an industrial company a license to use the European Community Ecolabel.

Since its founding in 1984, the Turkish brand Vestel has acquired many of its competitors. In 2008, this fate befell Vestfrost.

Nine months ago, I bought a Vestfrost VFWM 1241 W washing machine, made in Turkey. I spent a long time carefully choosing, reading reviews and comparing features. Our family couldn't live without a helper. We have two kids, so we have to do laundry every day. Our previous machine was a standard model, with a maximum load of 5 kg. That was a bit small for us; we wanted a little more. And the price was also reasonable. I settled on the Vestfrost VFWM 1241 W and haven't regretted it for a second.Vestfrost VFWM 1241 W

Advantages:

  • I really like the design, it looks more expensive;
  • Washes cleanly. A stain on a baby blanket that its predecessor couldn't remove disappeared in the first wash (cotton cycle at 90°C);
  • many modes and clear electronic control, convenient loading;
  • There is a child lock. This is important for us;
  • The wow factor for me is the display. It's really cool when you can see how much time is left until the wash cycle is finished.

Flaws:

  • The noise level is similar to a dishwasher. But I'm willing to put up with that;
  • The pump draws water quite loudly.

It turns on and off without a beep, only the "END" message appears on the display. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I use it often, wash a lot, and don't have to rewash, the main thing is not to skimp on the detergent.

I've been using a Vestfrost VFWM 1040 WL washing machine (made in Turkey) for seven months now. The main selection criterion was its size, specifically the 60 cm recess left over from my previous washing machine. My bathroom is compact, so we only considered narrow models with a depth of up to 40 cm.

The country of manufacture wasn't particularly important, as long as it wasn't China. So, our search ended with the purchase of a VFWM 1040 WL with dimensions of 59.6 x 41 cm, even though we hadn't heard anything about the washing machine manufacturer Vestfrost.

Advantages:

  • Beautiful appearance. The loading hatch with chrome trim looks stylish and elegant. Manufacturers typically don't bother with the design of such narrow vehicles. But this one has its own unique charm;
  • A wide range of programs. I immediately fell in love with the quick wash (15 min). It's very convenient when you need to refresh frequently used items in no time;
  • The availability of anti-allergy, night and hand washing was a discovery;
  • Energy efficiency class A++. Since we wash frequently, energy efficiency is very important. Moreover, this doesn't affect the spin speed (1000 rpm). The laundry comes out almost dry.

Flaws:

  • I've been using it for less than a year and haven't found any drawbacks;

The machine does its job perfectly, washing clothes well. It doesn't vibrate or bounce around the bathroom during the spin cycle, and it runs quietly. It's a great option for the money.

    The appearance of this brand is rather crude (uneven gaps on the body). We've delivered it twice with mechanical damage (DNS network), so we've decided not to deal with this manufacturer again. Perhaps the sellers aren't importing this product from Turkey?
