Santek sink over a washing machine
Few people today argue that a sink above a washing machine in a small bathroom is convenient, attractive, and largely practical. Not only does this installation keep the "home helper" out of the way, but it also leaves space between the sink and the washing machine for storing jars and bags of household cleaning products. In Russia, consumers often choose Santek sinks, consistently praising their practicality, beauty, and high quality. We decided to review these sinks and share it with you.
Product overview
The Santek brand produces a wide variety of ceramic products, including sinks for installation on washing machines. Currently, a whole line of such sinks is available on the market. Some are massive, formally designed, while others feature a traditional, streamlined design.
All these sinks share a strict height range and a special drain placement. The drain hole is slightly offset to the side. This was done intentionally to allow for the connection of a special siphon. So, which Santek sinks can you install in your bathroom?
- Santek's "Pilot" line. This line includes several over-the-washer sinks: the Pilot 50, Pilot 60, and Pilot 70. All of these models are very similar in appearance, differing only in depth. The Pilot 50 has a depth of 50 cm, the Pilot 60 has a depth of 60 cm, and so on. A distinctive feature of these sinks is the location of the drain, which is shifted not to the corner, but to the back. The average cost of sinks from the Pilot line is $25.

- The Santek Accord-56 is a rectangular, clean-lined faucet perfect for installation over a kitchen sink. The drain is offset significantly back, features an overflow hole, and the faucet is traditionally installed off-center. The porcelain faucet measures 56 x 45 x 16 cm (W x D x H). Price: $35.
- Santek Breeze-40. A porcelain sink with a side-mounted faucet hole. This porcelain sink has a classic oval shape, but the drain is offset to the rear. Dimensions (W x D x H) are 40 x 26.5 x 15.5 cm. The sink is available for $12.
- Santek Ladoga-50. Rectangular sink for installation over a washing machine, made of earthenware with a rear-mounted drain. Overall dimensions (W x D x H) are 50.5 x 42.5 x 16.5 cm. Price: $18.
Some of the sinks in this review are not specialized. In other words, not all of them were designed specifically for installation over a washing machine, but they are suitable for this purpose.
Installation Features
Now let's figure out how to install a sink like this. The sink is attached to the wall directly above the washing machine. There's a significant gap between the lid of the washing machine and the bottom of the sink. Attaching the sink to the wall requires special mounting hardware, which is usually included with the sink. When purchasing the sink, be sure to check if the mounting hardware is included. If not, you'll need to purchase it immediately.
We take measurements and determine the location of the sink. We drill a hole in the wall, install the brackets, and hang the porcelain sink. We connect the trap. A special trap is needed in this case. A standard trap has a drain pipe that extends vertically downwards, while the trap for this type of sink has the pipe extending sharply to the side, freeing up space for the washing machine.
You need to ensure that the sewer pipe that runs along the floor under the sink doesn't interfere with the installation of the washing machine. Then proceed as usual. Connect the faucet and its supply lines, slide the washing machine into place, and connect the drain and inlet hoses. Don't forget to make the correct installation beforehand. an outlet for the washing machine in the bathroomWe plug the machine into the power supply and check its operation.
Reviews of these sinks
The Santek sanitary ware we mentioned is widely discussed on various online forums and specialized online retail platforms. We decided to rewrite the most glowing reviews to illustrate consumer attitudes toward these ceramic washing machine fittings.

For a long time, I couldn't decide whether to install a washing machine in the bathroom. I wanted to put a sink and a washing machine there, but the space didn't allow for that. Friends suggested installing the sink over the washing machine, but I didn't like that solution because there wasn't enough space for the numerous containers of household chemicals. In the end, I tucked the chemicals into the corners, and we installed a Santek sink over the washing machine. I'm happy with the result. It turned out to be a good solution. The machine is convenient to use, it doesn’t bother anyone, and the sink does its job perfectly.
So far, I've only found one downside. Even if I'm careful, water from the bathtub or sink inevitably ends up on the washing machine. My husband says it will quickly cause the machine to rot. Indeed, there are some pits on the sides of the washing machine where rust has appeared. It turns out that the very fact of having the washing machine in the bathroom is ruining the machine, so I have to live with it. Overall, I'm happy!

Installing a Santek sink over a washing machine is the perfect option for those looking to save space. We have no place to put our washing machine. If we couldn't fit it in the bathroom, we'd have to squeeze it into the kitchen, and I don't think a kitchen and a washing machine are compatible. I'm so glad we installed the washing machine under the sink!

On the designer's advice, we installed the machine under the bathroom sink and are very happy with it. The Santek sink was inexpensive, and my husband installed it himself, saving us a significant amount of money. We highly recommend this option!
