How to disassemble a Candy washing machine
Candy washing machine malfunctions often force owners to buy new machines. Not everyone realizes that they can fix the problem themselves. To access the insides of a washing machine, you need to know how to properly disassemble the unit and what tools are needed. All washing machines are divided into two main groups: top-loading and front-loading. Both types differ in specifications and disassembly methods.
Let's prepare the tool for disassembly
At first glance, disassembling a Candy washing machine seems straightforward and doesn't require a ton of tools. Sometimes, a regular screwdriver is enough. However, to completely disassemble a Candy, you'll need a bit more.
To get started, you'll need a Phillips-head and a flat-head screwdriver. A cordless screwdriver will also come in handy. You'll also need Allen keys, pliers, and a small hammer.
Often, most connecting fasteners are stuck. Before removing one of these screws, the structure should be coated with a special liquid. This liquid is most often used to lubricate car parts, and it is called WD-40. To easily drain excess liquid from the hose, you'll need a basin. You can run the hose through it and easily drain the excess water.

Those who want to disassemble a Candy washing machine should bring a camera. It's a good idea to take photos during the disassembly process so that you can easily reassemble the device later by looking at the photos. This will help avoid any confusion and ensure the machine is ready for operation after the repair.
Step-by-step disassembly
Before beginning any repairs, disconnect the washing machine from the power supply. This will ensure maximum safety during operation. In addition to disconnecting the machine from the power supply, disconnect the cold water supply hose to avoid flooding the surrounding area.
How do I remove the top of the hatch? First, remove the top of the device's housing. The cover can be secured with various screws, which can be easily removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The screws are located under the top of the panel on the back. Once they are loose, apply gentle pressure to the cover. This pressure should be applied to the front side. Now you can lift the cover upward.
How do I remove the detergent drawer? The Candy washing machine has a dispenser that's easy to remove. To properly remove the detergent drawer, you'll need to feel for a separate plastic button. This is usually located in the center of the drawer. Press the button and pull the container toward you.
How do I remove the control panel? The control panel is attached to the washing machine with two screws. The first screw is located under the detergent dispenser. The second screw is located on the opposite side. The control panel must be handled with extreme care, as it is very fragile. Once removed from the machine, it should be hung on a hook or stored away to avoid damaging the delicate components.

How do I remove the service panel? To remove the service panel, press both locking latches simultaneously, then press the third one in the middle. How do I remove the front panel? First, remove the metal clamp that holds the door seal. The seal is installed in the loading door. The metal clamp is secured with a small spring. A gentle push will release the clamp. Now you can push the seal back into the drum.

After removing the outer clamp, don't try to pull the seal out completely, as this will inevitably damage it. Why? Because the inner clamp also holds it tightly.
The hatch door may interfere with the front panel removal, so it's a good idea to unscrew it. It's held in place with several bolts. After that, you'll need to remove the front panel of the unit. Unclip the clips holding the protective cover in place. If you lift the panel slightly, you can easily remove the additional hooks holding it in place. Inside the control panel there are microcircuits, which can be disassembled separately, if necessary.
How to remove the back cover. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws. These screws are typically located around the entire perimeter of the back panel to securely hold the components in place.
Top-loading washing machine
The disassembly process for top-loading automatic washing machines differs significantly from that of front-loading models. Control panel: Using a screwdriver, carefully lift the top of the control panel on all four sides, one at a time. First, pull the panel upward, then back down. Now you can tilt it slightly at a certain angle. This will allow access to the wiring.

Photograph the wiring before disassembling completely. Now you can remove the remaining parts. How to remove the side panel. Before removing the side panel, you'll need to remove the screws. Once they're loose, you can gently pull the bottom panel toward you and then pull it down. Once the side panel is removed, you can proceed to the next stage of disassembly.
We disassemble the tank
The tank itself is non-detachable. These tanks are manufactured to ensure that the tank remains sealed during use. During operation, the washing machine experiences temperature fluctuations, and the fastenings often become loose.
Before disassembling the tank, carefully inspect the exterior parts and locate the seam. You'll need to drill holes parallel to the seam to secure the halves of the tank together, as we'll need to reassemble the tank later. Use a drill bit and a power drill to make the holes.
It's necessary to drill 15-20 holes along the seam. After this, you can cut the seam. Once cut, you can easily access the tank's interior. You can cut the seam with a special hacksaw. This process will take a long time. Don't make cuts deeper than 5 cm. Otherwise, the tank walls will become unusable.

Once the cutting is complete, the tank will be disassembled. You'll have two parts—a front and a back. The front part is an irregularly shaped plastic piece with a hatch in the center. We won't need it for now, so we can set it aside. The back part contains all the main components—the drum and the rotation mechanism. The latter needs to be removed. You need to turn the back part over so that the drum hatch is at the bottom. Now you can begin to disassemble the shaft.

First, carefully unscrew the screw located in the center. Place a small chisel-shaped metal rod on the screw and strike it with a hammer. Now take a screwdriver and loosen the screw. Remove the shaft using three wooden blocks (one small and two large). The large blocks will serve as support for the tank. Place a small block on top of the tank, along the stem portion. Strike the small block with a hammer.
The part can be easily damaged, so you should combine the force of your blows (first a light blow, then a heavy one).
Eventually, the drum will be separated from the tank. It's okay to leave the bearings in place if they're working properly. The problem may lie with the tank itself, not the bearings. This is the first thing to check.
Sometimes owners need to replace a seal or bearing. To do this, use a metal rod and strike the edges of the housing with a hammer. Do not strike just one side. Even if one bearing is broken, both will need to be replaced.
