Dimensions of the Candy under-sink washing machine
A standard appliance won't fit under the sink—the washing machine is too large. Raising the sink a few centimeters, dealing with the pipes, and adjusting to the unusual position of the sink is also challenging. Another option is to purchase a mini washing machine from Candy. The manufacturer offers several models, making it easy to choose a machine that matches your interior and plumbing.
Are there many suitable models on the market?
Candy offers the smallest built-in washing machines. There are four such models: AQUA 1D835-07, AQUA 1D1035-07, AQUA 2D1040-07, and AQUA 2D1140-07. Interestingly, all the mini-washers have the same dimensions:
- width – 51 cm;
- depth – 46 cm;
- height – 70 cm.
Although the machines are the same size, their functionality, power, and capacity may differ slightly. You can find out the performance characteristics of a specific model directly from its name. The main thing is to read the alphanumeric combination correctly. Let's look at the decoding procedure using CANDY AQUA 1D835-07 as an example.
- "AQUA" stands for "Aquamatic," which means it supports the high-water wash cycle. This feature helps remove detergent and dirt better, helping to clean fabrics more thoroughly and prevent allergic reactions.

- "1D." This code indicates that the washing machine lacks a digital display. If a screen is important, it's best to look at models marked "2D," which do have one.
- "8." A number indicating the maximum possible spin. In this case, it's an abbreviation for "800." A "10" indicates the drum can spin up to 1000 rpm, while an "11" indicates 1100.
- "35" indicates the machine's capacity and is read as 3.5 kg. Therefore, the drum can hold no more than 3.5 kg of dry cotton laundry at a time. If the model name includes "4" or "40," the load capacity is up to 4 kg. This is the maximum capacity—the Candy under-sink machine doesn't have a larger drum.
The miniature Kandy machines are only 46 cm deep, allowing them to be built under a sink or countertop.
So, the Candy mini washing machine has a maximum load capacity of 4 kg. For such machines, this is quite sufficient. Similar models from Ariston and Zanussi, for example, only hold 3 kg, while the Swiss brand Eurosoba offers drums with a capacity of 3-4 kg. Moreover, Candy's washing machines are much more affordable.
Main characteristics of compact machines
Before purchasing a washing machine, carefully review its specifications. Candy mini washing machines differ only in capacity, display, and spin intensity, but the basic parameters, like height, are the same:
- energy consumption class – A (approximately 0.76 kW/h per cycle);
- washing efficiency class – A, spinning – C;
- control – electronic;
- possibility to delay the start up to 24 hours;

- number of programs – 16, including standard cotton, manual, fast, as well as additional “Mixed” and “EcoMix 20°C”;
- wash in cold water;
- electronic hatch lock;
- automatic imbalance control;
- noise level – within 56-80 dB.
Candy built-in under-sink machines with a body width of 51 cm have a loading hatch of 30 cm.
The machine weighs approximately 47 kg and uses approximately 32 liters of water per standard cycle. The door diameter for each model is 30 cm. As for the internals, the drum is made of stainless steel, and the water tank is made of durable plastic such as Silitech.
Recently, the Candy company has improved its line of miniature machines by releasing new versions of the models called AQUA 135D2-07, AQUA 104D2-07 and AQUA 114D2-07. The restyling didn't bring any radical changes: some machines were equipped with a display, and energy and water consumption indicators were also improved. In general, the performance characteristics, as well as the dimensions, have not changed.
What you need to know about compact Candy?
Both compact and full-size Candy machines have long been manufactured and assembled in Russia. The head office is located in Italy, but a Russian factory was opened and launched several years ago and is still operating successfully. The quality of the washing machines appears to have not declined due to the move.
However, there are a few facts you need to know about small-sized Candy:
- This company mainly supplies budget segment machines;
- Mini Candies are no more than 70 cm in height;
- the average service life of machines is 3-5 years, the warranty is valid for 12 months;
- All washing machines are equipped with transport bolts, which must be removed before starting the machine;
- The tank on all Candy machines is made of Silitech, a special durable plastic (the company does not produce machines with metal tanks; if this is a priority, choose Eurosoba).
Candy washing machines are produced only with plastic tanks.
Among Candy's compact washing machines, you can find a suitable option, offering both affordability and functionality, that fits perfectly under your sink and delivers reliable performance. The key is to use the machine correctly, following the instructions and the manufacturer's recommendations.
