Dimensions of Miele washing machines

Dimensions of Miele washing machinesPlanning the arrangement of furniture and appliances in your home is a responsible task. It must be done wisely and efficiently to ensure comfortable living in your home or apartment. Every item needs its place, especially if it's large. For example, it's best to consider the specifications of your washing machine in advance; otherwise, you may encounter difficulties when searching for a unit with your specific dimensions. Let's find out the dimensions of a Miele washing machine. This will help you navigate your space planning and choose the right appliance.

The narrowest and widest models

The most common problem when choosing and installing a washing machine is inadequate depth. Most Miele washing machines have a depth of at least 60 cm. More compact units are rarely available in stores. Therefore, when installing the appliance in a cabinet, it's important to consider its depth and allow for extra space. Among Miele washing machines, the following models have the shallowest depth:

  • The WED125WCS is a freestanding unit. Dimensions (W x D x H) in mm are 596 x 636 x 850. Maximum load capacity is 8 kg, spin speed is 1400 rpm. Front-loading.Miele WED125WCS
  • The W 690 F WPM is a freestanding machine. Dimensions (W x D x H) in mm are 459 x 601 x 900. Maximum load capacity is 6 kg, spin speed is 1300 rpm. Loading type: vertical.
  • The WEG675WCS is a freestanding model. Dimensions (W x D x H) in mm are 596 x 636 x 850. Maximum load capacity is 9 kg, spin speed is 1400 rpm. Front-loading.

Compared to smaller washing machines from other brands, the models presented here are deeper. This is due to the fact that all Miele appliances have a decent load capacity. If we conduct a comparative analysis with units of other popular brands, for example, LG, Beko, Indesit, then you can see that with a small depth they have more modest drum loading capabilities. Moreover, manufacturers of narrow washing machines often overstate their actual capacity. Miele takes the opposite approach: the technical specifications listed in the instructions have minimal errors.

Most Miele models have a depth of 640 or 643 mm. This should also be taken into account when planning your space. The following machines have these dimensions:

  • WTF 130 WPM;
  • WTH 120 WPM and WTH 130 WPM;Miele WTH 120 WPM
  • WWD120WCS;
  • WWR 880 WPS White Edition;
  • WWV 980WPS White Edition.

The Miele WTZH 130 WPM, the only model on the Russian market with a greater depth of 710 mm, measures 600 x 710 x 850 mm (W x D x H). It has a maximum spin speed of 1600 rpm and a drum capacity of up to 8 kg.

Important! Washing machines with the maximum depth from other brands typically also have a fairly large capacity. This is not the case with Miele appliances.

How tall and wide are German units?

The German manufacturer's units are generally standard, average in width: 600 mm. The only exceptions are a few models with a slightly narrower body width of 596 mm:

  • WWR 880 WPS White Edition;
  • WWV 980WPS White Edition.Miele WWR 880 WPS White Edition

These washing machines have a drum capacity of 9 kg and a spin speed of up to 1600 rpm. Only basic activator-type machines can be even wider (700–750 mm). The height of the units depends on the loading type. Front-loading machines have a drum height of 850 mm. Top-loading machines have a drum height of 900 cm. For this reason, for rooms requiring a low-profile washing machine, it's better to choose machines from other manufacturers.
