There's a simple logic to this: the manufacturer with the most exposure on TV and online is the best. In reality, it's not that simple. Sometimes, the best hide in the shadows, while the worst try to show off their best. It's time to rank the best dishwashers based on quality, and let's get to it right now.

The best manufacturers of luxury equipment

While compiling our rating, we encountered a rather serious problem. Different dishwasher manufacturers operate in different price segments. Comparing the quality of dishwashers in different price categories is inaccurate, so instead of one large rating, we had to create three smaller ones, one for each price category. Let's start with the manufacturers of high-end dishwashers.

SMEG. The undisputed favorite, the leader in producing the best dishwashers ever mass-produced. Firstly, it's the quietest and most silent dishwashersSecondly, SMEG washing machines are among the most energy-efficient in the world. Thirdly, SMEG appliances are manufactured using the highest quality materials. Fourthly, these machines provide the best results in terms of washing quality. And finally, fifthly, SMEG machines are always stylish and employ the most advanced technologies and technical solutions.
NEFF. It's slightly inferior to SMEG because its machines are slightly noisier and slightly less stylish, but otherwise, NEFF products are very, very good. Some customers also prefer NEFF machines because they are slightly cheaper, although the price difference is relative.
Kuppersbusch. A universally recognized manufacturer of dishwashers, it's renowned for making machines that last at least 10-15 years. It's lagging behind SMEG and NEFF because it's less proactive in introducing new technologies into its dishwashers. Furthermore, Kuppersbusch's pricing policy is less flexible, so its dishwashers are, on average, 1.5 times more expensive than those of its closest competitors. Some Kuppersbusch models are simply too expensive to justify.

As you can see, German manufacturers are the leaders in the production of luxury dishwashers, and it's no wonder. Approximately 63% of Germans can't live without a dishwasher, while in Russia, only 18% of people use them.

The best in the mid-price segment

Now let's look at the top manufacturers of dishwashers for the home in the mid-price range. The mid-price category is renowned for its high-quality appliances, which, while not featuring the most cutting-edge innovative solutions, are affordable for a much wider range of people. After all, not everyone can afford a luxury product.

Siemens. This German company may have lost its leadership in high-end dishwashers, but it has established itself in a lower segment and has done so so well that no competitor has been able to dislodge it for five years now. Siemens offers good prices for quality dishwashers. Siemens machines are traditionally good: they clean dishes perfectly, are economical, quiet, have long-lasting batteries, and are very stylish.
Asko. The Swedes are slightly inferior to their German counterparts in terms of build quality, but they win in price. The difference is sometimes quite significant, even though the models may be identical in technical specifications. Asko machines are also slightly less fuel-efficient, which is why they occupy a respectable second place in the ranking.
Bosch. A well-known German brand that finally managed to squeeze into third place in the mid-range rankings. Bosch produces a wide range of appliances, but their performance is highly inconsistent. One model is incredibly successful, while another is a complete failure. Even expensive Bosch machines don't always perform reliably and long-lastingly, despite the manufacturer receiving generally positive reviews, so we couldn't help but mention them.

Electrolux washing machines could have earned third place, but there have been too many complaints about these products recently. Experts and users have noted a decline in the quality of all Electrolux appliances sold in Russia, meaning we won't include them in our ranking. We must remain objective.

The best in the budget segment

Companies specializing in narrow dishwashers have penetrated the budget segment, but unfortunately, even there you won't find Russian, Ukrainian, or Belarusian manufacturers. The best budget machines are made by Germans, Swedes, and Italians.

Bosch produces dishwashers primarily at the upper end of the budget price range, but their equipment is undeniably the highest quality. These European-assembled machines feature high-quality components and impeccable operation. A number of affordable Bosch dishwashers have received top user ratings, which says something!
Indesit. This Italian company was once notorious for having the highest defect rate among its appliances. In recent years, production has been restructured, and now Indesit produces amazing and affordable appliances. However, many users, out of habit, still give the manufacturer a less-than-stellar rating, and experts, as it turns out, are a vindictive bunch, so it only ranks second.
Electorlux. The Swedes didn't rise above third place. The reason is that their successful budget dishwasher models are mostly older, three to four years old. New developments haven't been particularly impressive, there's a high defect rate, and the quality of key components has noticeably declined. The brand is highly recognizable, so many people prefer it.
