Kaiser dishwasher repair

Kaiser dishwasher repairKaiser is a renowned German brand that produces top-of-the-line appliances. Kaiser dishwashers, in particular, are considered the most reliable in the world, and the ergonomic design of their machines continues to impress users worldwide. These machines rarely require repairs, so few repairmen in Russia regularly deal with them. However, even such reliable appliances are prone to malfunction, and we've covered the topic of Kaiser dishwasher repairs.

What breaks most often in Kaiser dishwashers?

According to statistics provided by service centers in Europe and Russia, the main causes of Kaiser dishwasher failures are related to improper operation and connection, or a poor electrical network. Of the 1,000 recorded cases requiring Kaiser dishwasher repair, 897 were caused by user errors during operation, 89 were caused by a poor electrical network, and only 14 were due to a manufacturing defect or poor assembly.

Please note! The statistics above show service center calls regarding Kaiser dishwasher breakdowns during the first year of operation. In total, 1,368 repairs were requested by users from European countries and the Russian Federation in 2014-2015.

What are the most common reasons for Kaiser dishwasher failure?

  • Clogged drainage system.
  • Clogged filling system.
  • Problems with electrical and electronic equipment due to poor electrical network conditions.

Clogged drainage system

Kaiser dishwasher repairThere's a category of dishwasher users who believe that if they've paid for a good appliance, they can use it to its full potential without bothering with maintenance. This usually ends badly: the dishwasher stops working. In some cases, users, trying to solve the problem themselves, clean the filters, flush the drain hoses, but the problem still persists.

Experts say that if you don't clean your dishwasher, it may require repair, as clogs can cause damage to the pump or heating element, which is a serious issue. If a clog occurs, you should stop using your Kaiser dishwasher immediately and then thoroughly clean it, either manually or using specialized cleaning products. For more information on cleaning dishwashers, see the article aboutreplacing and cleaning the dishwasher filter.

Clogged filling system

In most cities and towns across our vast country, tap water quality leaves much to be desired, and it's not just hard water. Water often contains impurities that can harm not only human health but also appliances, so the user's first priority is to protect their expensive Kaiser dishwasher; otherwise, repairs will be necessary. What happens if this isn't done?

Important! To avoid future repairs to your Kaiser dishwasher, install at least one additional flow-through filter on the inlet hose and clean it regularly.

If you don't install any additional filters, there's only one barrier between the water supply and the inside of the dishwasher—the standard flow-through filter, which the manufacturer installs at the inlet directly before the inlet valve. The mesh on this filter is very thin, and if you don't take any additional water purification measures, it will quickly become clogged and a blockage will occur. The machine won't pump water, it'll freeze, and it'll need repairs. What should I do?

  1. You need to shut off the water supply to the machine.
  2. Disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher body.
  3. Next, you need to unscrew the flow filter from the machine body and clean it thoroughly.
  4. Next, you can clean the hose itself, after which we put everything back in place and check the operation of the machine.

Experts strongly advise against ignoring this problem. If you notice that your dishwasher is filling very slowly, begin repairs immediately. The fact is that if there is insufficient water in the dishwasher tank, the load on the flow-through heating element increases, which in turn leads to its rapid breakdown. Simply put, check the filter - if you're going to change the heating element, take this very seriously.

Problems with electrical and electronic equipment

voltage stabilizerThe root of the problem, in this case, isn't even the electrical or electronic components of Kaiser dishwashers; it's the electrical connections that invariably cause damage to these delicate European appliances. As a result of the usual sudden surges or drops in voltage, Kaiser dishwashers can fail control modules and surge protectors; in rare cases, even wires and contacts can burn out, and other malfunctions can occur.

If you notice a power surge and then your dishwasher stops working, don't try to fix it yourself—call an experienced technician to diagnose the problem. To avoid similar problems in the future, connect all expensive and complex appliances in your home through voltage stabilizers. A voltage stabilizer isn't cheap, but imagine how it can instantly protect you from a power surge:

  • dishwasher;
  • fridge;
  • washing machine.

All costs will pay for themselves immediately, and you'll no longer have to worry about whether or not to buy such a protection device. Your car won't be at risk from such malfunctions. In addition to the stabilizer, you need to ensure that the Kaiser dishwasher is connected to a good, moisture-resistant outlet with a reliable copper power cable with a cross-section of 1.5-2 mm. The line must be connected through a residual current circuit breaker, it is more reliable.

To summarize, if your Kaiser dishwasher breaks down within the first year of operation and requires repair, the cause is most likely either user error or poor wiring. Reliable Kaiser dishwashers rarely break down. Be careful and take good care of your dishwasher, and it won't need repairs for a long time.

    The KAISER S45170XL dishwasher doesn't draw enough water to turn on the heating element. The water inlet filter is clean.

      Suddenly.
      I thought the sensor wasn't giving a command.
      Thank you.

    What a load of crap they wrote. I took apart my Kaiser PMM, and instead of the delicate European electronics, there's an equally delicate Chinese board with the CMedea logo.

    Kaiser is the best appliance... I've been struggling with my dishwasher for five years now! Almost every wash is accompanied by some kind of glitch, consisting of a beeping sound and repeated attempts to start the next stage of the wash cycle—filling, rinsing, draining, filling, washing, etc. It's just awful! Not to mention the hose connections are leaking, the door lock mechanism is broken, the pull-out tray rollers are corroded... It's just a disaster 🙁
