Crease-free mode in the LG washing machine

Crease-free mode in the LG washing machineModern washing machines have a variety of options designed to improve washing results—provided you use them correctly, of course. A definite advantage of the LG washing machine is its "Wrinkle-Free" feature, which prevents items from becoming too wrinkled during washing.

What does the option provide?

Almost all homeowners speak highly of the crease-free cycle in their LG washing machine. They also say it's especially useful for washing synthetic shirts, blouses, and T-shirts.

The machine leaves very few creases on clothes, making ironing easier later.

Some items made from synthetic and blended materials don't need to be ironed at all—just take them out after washing and hang them on a hanger for a day or dry them flat.

However, it should be noted that this mode is designed for specific fabrics. It is not suitable for washing cotton items, such as bedding. Furthermore, proper drum loading is essential for proper operation. If you have filled it to the brim with clothes, the No Wrinkle mode will not be able to perform the task, so this function can only be performed when the drum is half full.

How does the machine achieve its results?

How does an LG washing machine achieve less creasing? It's actually quite simple. The developers created a special drum rotation algorithm that prevents clothes from clumping during the spin cycle—it pauses several times to agitate the laundry. This means that during this process, the clothes are periodically shaken and redistributed, minimizing creasing.

How exactly does this work? A standard spin cycle lasts from 7 to 15 minutes. During this time, the drum rotates continuously. But if the "Wrinkle-Free" mode is enabled, the machine pauses the spin cycle several times and simply rocks the drum from side to side to "break up" clumps of laundry and "loosen" the laundry. This method is almost always effective.linen is easier to iron

However, LG washing machines capable of high-speed spins—over 1200 rpm—have a significant drawback. In this case, the laundry simply sticks to the drum walls, and even rocking it fails to shake it loose and re-form the pile. Consequently, even with the "Wrinkle Free" feature enabled, the laundry ends up heavily creased. Therefore, to achieve this, a spin speed of no higher than 800 rpm is recommended.

How to set the mode?

A description of the "No Wrinkle" mode and its settings is provided in the washing machine's detailed instructions. It's very easy to set up. It's activated on the control panel when setting up the main wash program. Follow these steps:

  • select a washing program using the selector;
  • adjust temperature, spin speed;
  • press the "No folds" button;
  • press the "Start/Stop" button.

Please note that activating the Crease-Free function will add 5-7 minutes to the overall washing cycle time. This isn't much compared to the duration of a basic washing cycle. However, these extra minutes will save you a significant amount of time, which you could otherwise spend ironing.

By the way, if you've set all the washing parameters, you can press the "Preferred Mode" button. This will save all the settings in the machine's memory, so you won't have to reset them next time. Simply press the "Preferred Mode" button.

    I bought an LG washing machine and was completely disappointed. The clothes were so wrinkled that it was hard to imagine, it was just a nightmare!

    I love LG washing machines, this is my second one in a row. They're easy to repair and reliable. You don't have to cut the drum to replace bearings. The settings are written in text, not in incomprehensible symbols like on European machines. After spinning, the direct drive machine shakes the laundry.
