The Mix program in a Beko washing machine

Mix program in the Beko washing machineThe program selection on most modern automatic washing machines is roughly the same. However, each manufacturer has its own unique algorithms. For example, Beko washing machines have a "Mix" mode. Let's explore its unique features and the opportunities it offers users.

Features of the Mix algorithm

Beko washing machine owners note that this program makes laundry care much easier. The Mix mode allows you to wash synthetic, linen and cotton items at the same time. There's no need to pre-sort clothes by material type—the algorithm ensures high-quality washing of any fabric, both natural and blended.

Thanks to the intelligent algorithm stored in Beko washing machines, users no longer have to wash synthetics and cottons separately. This significantly speeds up washing. Let's look at the basic parameters of the "Mix" cycle (typical for models with a 6 kg capacity).

  • Water heating temperature is 40°C.
  • The maximum permissible drum load is 3 kg of dry laundry.
  • Cycle duration: 115 minutes.Mix on a Beko machine
  • Water consumption – 45 liters.
  • Maximum spin speed is 800 rpm.
  • Power consumption: 0.50 kW/h.

The Mix mode is universal; any additional function provided by the washing machine’s intelligence can be connected to it.

These options include pre-wash, quick wash, extra rinse, easy iron, soak, and pet hair removal. Please note that activating any of these additional functions will change the program run time.

Other modes of the Beko machine

In addition to the universal "Mix" mode, Beko washing machines also feature other algorithms designed to care for specific fabric types. The intelligent system includes more delicate programs for silk and wool, as well as high-temperature cycles for baby clothes, bedding, and more.

A detailed description of all washing modes is provided in the instructions for the Beko washing machine.

We'll explain the modes available on most Beko models and describe the key parameters of each algorithm.

  • Cotton. This standard cycle is designed for washing cotton items. It offers a choice of water temperature: 40°C, 60°C, or 90°C. Cycle duration ranges from 98 to 147 minutes, with energy consumption ranging from 0.85 to 2.25 kWh, depending on the temperature setting. This cycle allows for the maximum load capacity (each model has its own maximum load capacity). Water consumption is 66 liters.
  • Cotton Eco. This cycle is similar to the Cotton 60 cycle but lasts longer – 205 minutes. Despite the long cycle, water consumption is no more than 45 liters, and energy consumption is 1.13 kWh, making it very economical compared to the standard cycle. It accepts the maximum drum load, and the water temperature is 60°C.
  • Mini. This program is designed specifically for washing small quantities of lightly soiled cotton garments. At 30°C, the cycle takes just 28 minutes, at 60°C – 58 minutes, and at 90°C – 88 minutes. Water consumption is 55 liters.
  • Dark Fabrics. Used for cleaning dark and brightly colored items that are prone to color fading. The water temperature is set to a maximum of 40°C, and the cycle lasts 107 minutes.
  • Woolen Fabrics. Delicate cycle designed for washing woolen garments. Water is heated to 40°C, and the spin speed is set to minimum. A "No Spin" function can be activated if desired. The drum can hold only 1.5 kg of dry laundry (for machines with a 6 kg capacity). The cycle takes 1 hour.
  • Children's Laundry. This program is designed specifically for the care of children's clothing and items for allergy sufferers. High-temperature washing (washing in water heated to 90°C) destroys all bacteria and allergens present in the fabric fibers. This program also includes an additional rinse step. The cycle lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes. Spinning is performed at maximum speed.Description of SM Beko programs from the instructions
  • Synthetics. This standard cycle is designed for care of items made from synthetic and blended fabrics. Two temperature settings are available: 40 or 60 degrees Celsius. The cycle duration is 106 or 116 minutes, respectively.
  • Hand 20. This cycle provides the most gentle care. It washes in cold water for 43 minutes, with a low spin cycle that can be turned off if needed. Suitable for delicate items marked "Do not machine wash" on the label.
  • Jeans. This cycle is designed for washing denim items. Smooth drum rotation and a low spin speed ensure gentle care. The cycle lasts an average of 105 minutes.

Water and energy consumption will vary depending on the Beko washing machine model, but the values shown are for machines with a 6 kg capacity.

Each model has its own set of programs. In addition to the basic modes, washing machines Beko offers useful extras that can improve your washing results. What functions are we talking about?

  • Soaking. Activated when washing very dirty items. The garment is soaked in water and detergent for several minutes to "soak" out stubborn stains.
  • Quick Wash. This option can be added to the Cotton, Synthetics, and Mix programs when loading lightly soiled items. This reduces the time required for the main cycle.
  • Easy Ironing. When activated, the drum rotates more smoothly, reducing wrinkles on your laundry.
  • Extra rinse. Added to the main cycle when you need to ensure complete removal of detergent from the fabric fibers.
  • Pet hair removal. When this function is activated, a pre-wash and rinse phase is added to the main cycle. Additionally, the drum fills with 30% more water than the standard settings.

By understanding the settings of each algorithm, you'll be able to accurately select a wash cycle based on the fabric type and degree of soiling. Don't neglect the additional features—they can provide even better care for your laundry.
