Synthetic mode in the washing machine

As its name suggests, this special mode is suitable for cleaning all synthetic and semi-synthetic fabrics. However, this isn't entirely accurate. Today, almost every item contains synthetics, but that doesn't mean such clothing should be cleaned exclusively with the Synthetics program. To ensure high-quality cleaning, you need to understand how your washing machine operates when selecting the Synthetics mode and what washing parameters different brands use for this setting.

Bosch equipment

Not all Bosch automatic machines are equipped with a Synthetics mode. A whole series of machines manufactured before 2007 have a program for washing mixed fabrics, which is recommended for washing synthetic items. Modern Bosch washing machines are equipped with this mode, the main parameters of which are as follows:

• water heating occurs to a temperature of 30-40°C;
• the spin speed is not regulated, the user can easily set the required number of revolutions;
• The washing duration can also be adjusted. It can be set from 70 to 140 minutes;
• To ensure maximum cleaning quality, it is recommended to load no more than half of the permissible weight into the drum;
• The rinse option is set by default. You can optionally run an additional rinse cycle if the smart device supports this feature.
  

Thus, this program in Bosch washing machines is quite flexible and can be adapted by the housewife to specific washing parameters. When choosing a mode, pay attention to the quality and degree of contamination of the items loaded into the drum. The Synthetics symbol on almost all Bosch washing machines is represented by a hanging shirt and an accompanying label. This ensures you won't have any trouble choosing a program.

Samsung cars

The Synthetics mode is found on the control panel of almost every automatic washing machine from this brand. The user manual contains a detailed description of the program, as well as a list of items approved for cleaning with these settings. What items is this mode ideal for? The manufacturer allows washing blouses, shirts, dress shirts, and other items made of synthetic fibers. The main washing parameters for this program are:

• the water temperature in the tank reaches 60°C, but at the user’s discretion the heating can be reduced to 40 degrees;
• pre-wash is not provided by the intellect;
• The default spin speed is 800 rpm, but the value can be increased up to 1200 rpm if the equipment specifications allow for this;
• The average water consumption ranges from 50 to 62 liters.

To maximize cleaning efficiency, the manufacturer recommends loading no more than half the drum at a time. This will ensure ideal cleaning results.

In most cases, the control panel does not have any original designation; the name of the program, Synthetic, is simply written near the programmer knob.

Siemens washing machines

This brand, on the other hand, doesn't bother programming a synthetic wash cycle into its smart washing machine. Only a few models have this icon. For washing machines equipped with the Synthetics cycle, the wash parameters will be as follows:

• The system's water heating temperature is not fixed. The user can set a preferred value: 30, 40, or 60°C;
• rinsing starts automatically, it is impossible to remove the set option;
• To ensure the washing quality does not suffer, it is better not to load more than 2.5 kg (with a permissible weight of 5 kg) of synthetic or semi-synthetic items into the drum;
• The spin speed is adjustable and can be switched off if necessary;
• There is an extra rinse option that can be set along with the Synthetics mode;
• The average cycle time is 105 minutes, depending on user settings the time may vary.

If you use a washer-dryer, be aware that intensive drying cannot be used in this mode. If your Siemens washing machine does not have this program, you can clean synthetic clothing by selecting the Mixed Laundry cycle.

Indesit equipment

In contrast, almost every washing machine from this manufacturer has a designated mode. Modern machines offer two program variations: Synthetics 1 and Synthetics 2. There's no significant difference between them, but minor variations can be found.

1. Synthetics 1. Water is heated to 60°C; a prewash is not available, but the "Bleaching" option is available. As with all manufacturers, the drum is loaded half full. The cycle lasts 75 minutes. Spinning is performed at 800 rpm.
2. Synthetics 2. A significant difference is that the water is heated by default only to 40 degrees, which results in a slightly shorter program time of 71 minutes. The remaining settings are the same as the first mode.
