Siemens dishwasher programs

Siemens dishwasher programsSiemens produces a wide range of dishwashers to suit every taste, color, and budget. They vary in size, weight, design, price, and much more. Yet, they also have much in common. For example, the range of modes in a Siemens dishwasher is virtually identical. Let's take a closer look.

What is the correct name for the Siemens PMM algorithm?

In various user manuals, on specialized websites, and simply on the internet, you come across terms like "program," "cycle," and "mode" in relation to dishwashers and their algorithms. Is there a difference between them, or do they all mean the same thing? In fact, there really is no difference. All these terms describe a specific algorithm in the dishwasher, defined by the manufacturer, which includes a number of parameters and is designed not only to clean dishes but also to implement a number of other features:

  • keep the dishes intact;
  • Delicate modes are especially gentle on fragile items;
  • soak and help remove dried residue from dishes;
  • use resources rationally;
  • dry the dishes.shiny dishes from the dishwasher

It's impossible to list everything in one list. But the main goal of any mode is still the same: to clean dishes well. And to ensure the dishwasher does this effectively, user initiative is essential. They should carefully read the program descriptions and make the right choice.

Characteristics of Siemens PMM programs

Siemens appliances are excellent, and even with a limited number of programs, they can handle any type of dishware and any type of soiling. Let's look at the basic program selection to get a rough idea of the dishwasher's capabilities.

  • The Eco-50 Degrees program lasts 180 minutes and uses 9 liters of water and 0.78 kilowatts of electricity per hour.
  • The 45°C (145°F) quick program lasts just 30 minutes, using the same 9 liters of water and 0.7 kilowatts of energy per hour. Ideal for lightly soiled dishes made from lightweight materials.
  • Rinse. The rinse requires a lot of water—3 liters and 0.05 kilowatts of energy. It lasts only 15 minutes and is designed to remove any detergent residue from the dishes after the main cycle.Siemens PMM modes
  • Auto program 45-65 degrees. Program parameters can vary, not only in terms of temperature. Energy consumption: 0.7-1.3 kilowatts per hour. Water consumption: 7-16 liters. Cycle duration: 50-90 minutes. The unique feature of the automatic program is that it automatically determines how many dishes are in the basket and how dirty they are. The dishwasher adjusts the wash parameters based on this information.

Important! When using the automatic program, you can also activate the intensive wash mode, which will also wash the lower basket. This will help clean pans, pots, and other utensils even better.

If you have a small load of dishes and they don't require intensive washing, we recommend using the quick and economy modes. If the baskets are full, it's best to use the automatic mode, allowing the dishwasher to automatically select the appropriate wash parameters.

Siemens PMM Auxiliary Capabilities

In addition to dishwasher algorithms, the dishwasher's control center also includes useful auxiliary functions. We'll highlight the most prominent examples to demonstrate how they work.

Automatic door opening. Surely everyone has forgotten about dishes in the dishwasher at least once, leaving them there for an extended period of time. This can cause musty odors and breed germs. Automatic door opening immediately opens the hatch after washing and leaves a gap of 10-15 centimeters.

A program completion signal. In the midst of daily chores, a loud reminder that the dishes are done can be very helpful.

Interior lighting. If you have to load or unload the dishwasher in the evening or at night, this feature is extremely useful. Everything is clearly visible, and you don't even need to turn on the kitchen light.Siemens dishwasher washing chamber lighting

Delay Timer. Using this feature, you simply set the delay start time, load the dishes, and add detergent. After the allotted time, the dishwasher will automatically start the wash, run through all the stages, and turn off when finished.

This list of programs and features is not complete. There are many, and new technologies are constantly emerging.
