- "Delicate" mode. Designed for the most delicate fabrics, this program features very gentle drum rotation, the lowest spin speed, and low water temperature. It also uses a large amount of liquid, ensuring that powerful detergent is completely rinsed out of the garment.
- "Baby" mode. The main advantages of this cycle are its high temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and multiple rinse cycles, making the machine ideal for washing baby clothes.
This option is also ideal for allergy sufferers who cannot tolerate household chemicals.
- "Dark Fabric." This function features a generous amount of water and an extremely slow spin cycle, allowing manufacturers to preserve the richness of dark colors. It's important to additionally use special conditioners and gels for cleaning dark items.
- "Hand Wash." A gentle spin cycle for items recommended for hand washing to prevent deformation and tearing. This cycle is recommended for silk, viscose, and cashmere items.
- "Wool." This program is designed specifically for woolen items, which not only remain unshaped but also prevent pilling during this cycle.
- "Down." Another option with a self-explanatory name. This mode is found in Haier washing machines capable of washing 9 kilograms or more at a time. It cleans outerwear well, as well as items filled with feathers or down.
- "Shirts." A special program that removes heavy stains while minimizing creasing for easier ironing. It's washed with a minimum spin cycle and in lukewarm water—30 to 40 degrees Celsius.
- "Fitness." This less common, but already popular, function is designed for sportswear made of cotton, synthetics, and other materials. It takes about an hour and heats the water to 40 degrees.
- "Eco 20°C" is an economical mode for lightly soiled clothes. The main advantage of this cycle is its reduced energy consumption – it uses 80% less kilowatts than standard cycles.
For washing in cold water, it is better to use liquid detergents, as they wash out much better than washing powder.
- Also worth mentioning is the self-cleaning mode found in some Haier appliances. It lasts 120 minutes, during which the appliance cleans the drum, pipes, drain filter, and detergent drawer using water heated to 70 degrees Celsius.
Therefore, the basic set of programs alone is more than enough for any occasion, so it is not always necessary to buy expensive equipment with additional washing modes. The key is to choose the right cycle to avoid accidentally damaging your favorite clothes by activating the wrong function.
Fast algorithms
Haier washing machines typically take between 1 and 3 hours to wash. This long cycle time may be unacceptable to some homeowners, and it's also important to remember that sometimes such a long cycle is simply unjustified given the time, water, and energy consumed. To address these situations, the manufacturer always includes quick programs to complete the wash cycle in a short time. Among these programs, the following stand out:
- Mini. Used for cleaning lightly soiled cotton items. This mode heats the water to only 30 degrees Celsius, but can be increased to 90 degrees Celsius. On standard settings, the wash time is only 39 minutes.
- "Mini 14." It takes just 14 minutes of the user's time to quickly refresh up to 2 kilograms of clothing at a temperature of 30 degrees;
- "Mix 40°C." This option is designed for clothes made from both natural and synthetic fabrics. Spinning is performed at a medium speed and the water temperature is 40°C.
Some types of machines have a separate button on the control panel that starts a seventeen-minute wash. This program is specially designed for lightly soiled clothes of any fabric that simply need to be refreshed to remove any unpleasant odor.

The drum is narrow, whites came out grey, I'm not happy with the washing results. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known. It creates stains.
I've been using a Haier washing machine for four years now and am very happy. It washes great and uses very little energy. I wash almost every day. It hasn't ruined a single item yet. And to get whites that shine, add bleach.
Great! But what if there aren't any programs like Delicates, Hand Wash, and so on? How come? I noticed this after my husband bought the machine 🙁
I'm not happy with the Cotton wash cycle—it takes 4 hours and 27 minutes! The maximum spin speed is 1400 rpm only on Cotton; all other cycles are set to 1000 rpm by default. And it can't be changed! And the 8 kg load capacity is also only on Cotton. Knowing this, I would never have bought this machine. And it's not cheap—46,000 rubles.
I don't recommend this machine. The manual includes a table of washing modes. Study it carefully and you'll understand all its shortcomings. It uses default programs and can't be adjusted, particularly the spin cycle. And the 4.27-hour "Cotton" wash is truly something!
My "Mixed Fabrics" wash cycle takes 1:57. Of that, only 20 minutes are spent washing, the rest is rinsing. Is that normal? I've had LG washing machines before, and their wash cycles are longer and the rinse cycle shorter. I'm not really a fan of this model. The other cycles are the same, with a 1.5-hour rinse cycle.
I loaded my bath towels, set the cotton cycle to 60 degrees, pressed start, and the wash time showed 4:37! How is that possible?
