Washing modes in the Hansa washing machine

Washing modes in the Hansa washing machineHansa washing machines impress not only with their thoughtful design and functionality, but also with their impressive selection of programs. The manufacturer has combined the most useful modes, making the machine convenient to use and delivering high-quality washing results. All you have to do is select the appropriate setting and start the cycle. We offer a look at the main washing modes in the Hansa washing machine and instructions for setting them up. All algorithms and descriptions are below.

Description of the main modes

For user convenience, modern washing machines have a number of pre-installed programs, and Hansa is no exception. Each machine from this brand offers the user 10 modes designed for different types and colors of fabric. In addition to popular algorithms, there are also unique options. Let's take a look at all the options on the washing machine's dashboard.

  • Cotton. A high-temperature program with water heating to 60-90 degrees Celsius. Suitable for washing cotton and cotton linens of any degree of soiling – with a boiling point, 1000 rpm spin, and a 96-minute cycle, it removes all laundry. The drum can be filled to the maximum capacity, and pre-soak and double rinse options can be enabled. Ideal for bed linens, towels, tablecloths, and shirts.
  • Synthetics. A separate cycle for washing synthetic fabrics. Parameters: temperature 40-60°C, spin at 80°C, and half load.
  • Wool. This setting is for wool and knitwear. Thanks to water temperatures up to 40°C, a gentle spin cycle, and a low motor speed, the fabric remains soft and supple, preventing deformation. The machine remains stationary for most of the hourly cycle. It is recommended to load no more than a third of the drum.

Hansa washing machines have an "Express 23" spin cycle, which allows you to completely wash, rinse, and spin your laundry in 23 minutes.

  • Express 23. An accelerated cycle for surface washing. The water in the drum is heated to 30-40 degrees Celsius, and the spin cycle is set to maximum. Suitable for cotton, synthetic, and knitwear. Pre-wash is not available, but an extra rinse is available. The cycle lasts exactly 23 minutes.
  • Hand wash. Use cold water and spin at 600 rpm for 34 minutes. Maximum load: 1.5 kg. The drum rotates smoothly, ensuring gentle cleaning. A double rinse function is available if desired.badges on clothing
  • Mixed Fabrics. Similar to the "Mixed Fabrics" cycle found in other brands. Allows you to wash cotton and synthetics simultaneously. The cycle settings are universal: heat from 40 to 60°C and spin up to 100°C. Additional rinse and prewash options are available.
  • Baby Comfort. High-temperature wash at 60-90 degrees Celsius for washing children's clothes. Ensures effective stain removal and complete detergent rinsing. The default wash time is 151 minutes, but the time may be reduced by lowering the temperature.
  • Jeans. A dedicated program for cleaning denim items. Suitable for similar weights. It creates optimal conditions for denim: heating to 60-90 degrees Celsius and maximum spin speed. There is no drum load limit – you can wash a full drum. The cycle lasts approximately half an hour.
  • Daily washing. A universal algorithm for washing everyday items – pajamas, T-shirts, and lounge suits. Suitable for all types of fabric. The temperature is set to 40°C, and the spin cycle can be varied from 0 to maximum. It's best to wash with a half load and an extra rinse cycle.
  • Wash without rinsing. This cycle automatically disables the spin cycle and disables the double rinse function. The temperature can be set between 40 and 90°C, and a prewash can be activated if desired. The cycle lasts 32 minutes.
  • Rinse. This standard option allows you to rinse your laundry without washing it. It lasts approximately 15 minutes and uses maximum spin speed by default. When activated, antistatic agent, fabric softener, and fabric conditioner are added to the detergent dispenser.
  • Drain. When activated, water is pumped out of the machine for 1-2 minutes. Spin is not included and can be activated separately if needed.
  • Spin. This can be activated separately by adjusting the drum speed from 400 to maximum. It is activated if the cycle does not include a spin, for example, after hand washing. Duration: 8 minutes.

It is recommended to wash woolen items separately on a special cycle.

Hansa washing machines have two special programs: "Auto Clean" and "Intensive Wash." The first is an algorithm in which the machine cleans itself, specifically the drum and the inside of the tub. It cleans at 95 degrees Celsius, running empty and adding a special cleaner. The second mode is essential for washing heavily soiled clothes. It's a two-stage cycle. First, the machine spins the laundry in warm water to activate enzymes, and then heats up to 60 degrees Celsius for comprehensive stain removal.

How to choose, start or delay washing?

Hansa washing machines feature clear, intuitive controls. To select the desired mode, simply turn the dial clockwise to the desired position. The system automatically sets the cycle parameters: temperature, spin speed, and duration. You can adjust these settings and activate additional options.

Modern washing machines allow you to set the wash cycle to start at a specific time. This way, you can have clean laundry right before you wake up or return home from work. To use this feature, you need to:launching the program on SM Hansa

  • select the desired program using the programmer;
  • change cycle parameters and enable additional options;
  • click on the "Delay start" button;
  • set the delay time (from 1 hour to 24);
  • press the "Start/Pause" button.

After pressing the start button, the washing machine will enter standby mode. The cycle will start automatically at the scheduled time. Models with a display show a countdown timer on the display.

The washing machine must be disconnected from the power supply after use.

To cancel a running wash cycle and change the program, first turn the program dial to the "Off" position. Then, use the selector to select a different mode and begin a new cycle.

Once the cycle is complete, Hansa will sound a signal indicating the end of the program. The user then waits for the door to unlock, open the drum, and remove items. If necessary, they can start another wash cycle. Once the cycle is complete, the washing machine must be turned off completely. To do this, slide the program selector to the "OFF" position, turn off the water supply, and unplug the power cord.
