How many bearings are in a Candy washing machine?
One of the most labor-intensive repairs on any washing machine is replacing the bearings and seals. Their location is complex—the rings are hidden in the machine's drum, requiring complete disassembly to access them. This type of work is quite expensive, so many users attempt to repair their "home helper" themselves.
If you've decided to repair your washing machine yourself, prepare for the job. Be sure to understand how many bearings are in a Candy washing machine and how to select the right components. After that, you're ready to get started.
We purchase bearings and oil seals
One of the main tasks when repairing a washing machine is selecting the right components. It is recommended to first disassemble the machine and remove the old parts to see the markings on them. Candy washing machines have two bearings, internal and external. The unit is also equipped with a sealing ring, which is a rubber seal that prevents water from getting onto the rings.
Most Candy washing machines are equipped with bearings 204 (external) and 205 (internal).
The manufacturer primarily uses a single type of component, with the exception of a couple of washing machine lines. For example, bearings 205 and 204 are installed on the following models:
- Candy Alise 842 K;
- Candy Alise 844;
- Candy ACS 1040;
- Candy GO 510R 31001402;
- Candy Act My Logic- 10;
- Candy Energa 735 N;
- Candy CSBL 75;
- Candy CS 085TXT;
- Candy CS 105D-RU;
- Candy CS 105TXT and other CS series machines;
- the entire line of Candy Holiday, etc.

All Candy Aquamatic washing machines are equipped with 203 and 204 bearings. Models with 203 and 205 bearings are also available. These washing machines:
- Candy Activa 80P;
- Candy C2 095-16S;
- Candy CBE 825 T;
- Candy CSB 840 XT.
Special attention should be paid to the selection of the seal. All Candy washing machine seals appear identical, but there are differences, literally a millimeter or two. Therefore, remove the seal and inspect it carefully.
Be sure to look at the factory markings on the oil seal.
For example, the Candy Alise 842 K requires a 30x52/60x11.5 mm seal. The Candy ACS 1040 requires a 30x52x11/12.5 mm seal. All Aquamatic models require a 25x47x8 mm gasket.
Selecting and purchasing components is a crucial step in the repair process. Ideally, remove the old bearings and seal and take them to the store. This will make it easier for the seller to find replacement parts.
When ordering components online, be extremely careful. Look for parts for your specific Candy model. The dimensions, bearing type, and seal must match the original.
Are such components available now?
Finding original bearings for Candy washing machines is quite difficult these days. Stores often offer parts made to order, but these components are quite expensive. Chinese-made equivalents are usually available—they're exactly the right size, but there's no guarantee of their quality. The average price for a bearing from China is $6.
Finding a good seal is easier, but sometimes counterfeits are available in stores that start leaking after just a few months of use. And since the location of the bearings and sealing rubber requires complete disassembly of the washing machine housing, it's best not to take any chances. It's worth paying extra for a high-quality seal rather than buying a cheap replacement that won't last more than a year.
