• The electronic module analyzes the received data and approximately determines how much water is spent on absorption.

The slower the water fills, the more items are in the drum. However, the pressure switch doesn't provide precise readings, as many lightweight fabrics absorb liquid less effectively, creating the illusion of an overfilled drum. However, measuring the level still allows you to save 20-30% on water consumption and adjust the program accordingly.

How is dry laundry weighed?

Modern washing machines with a weighing function operate on a different principle. They can accurately determine the weight of items loaded in the drum in kilograms. Based on these measurements, they can refuse to start a cycle due to excess weight or suggest a special program to save energy and water.

The motor acts as a scale for the laundry. In these models, the motor is located directly on the drum axis, allowing for the rotational force and voltage generated by the motor to be monitored. Using these values, the washing machine's processor calculates the load and displays the weight of the laundry.

It is prohibited to exceed the maximum dry laundry weight permitted for a specific model!

Moreover, the program won't start until the machine has weighed the contents. Conventional machines will display the wash time immediately after pressing the "Start" button and then automatically begin the cycle. Automatic washing machines first determine the weight of the laundry and only then offer the user a specific setting with the required amount of water, spin intensity, temperature, and duration.
