Detergents for washing jeans
Many people overlook denim detergents, but they shouldn't. It's long been proven that conventional granules dissolve poorly, don't rinse out, and remain in the fabric, causing streaks and runs. Furthermore, overly harsh chemicals react with the hardware and severely leach pigment from denim. If you don't review your detergent arsenal as soon as possible, your favorite jeans will soon become a dull rag. We suggest you remedy this situation with our review.
Domal Jeans and Synergetic
It's best to ditch regular powder and look for a new liquid detergent. The market today offers a variety of well-known brands at varying prices and sizes. Among the leaders in denim are Domal Jeans and Synergetic.
Synergetic, a domestic household chemicals manufacturer specializing in safe and biodegradable products, introduces a special detergent for washing denim. The mentioned gel contains only natural and hypoallergenic components: water, plant A- and H-tensides, green chelate, functional additives and perfume composition.The price ranges from $2 to $3.20 for 750 ml. The liquid is suitable for both machine and hand washing. Moreover, the concentrate not only gently and effectively cleans denim, preserving its brightness, but also prevents dust and dirt from re-settling on the fibers.
Domal Jeans Fashion laundry detergent from Germany is also a universal concentrate, but with a more active formula. Thanks to the interaction of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, and enzymes, the product is capable of removing even stubborn stains from dense fabrics. Despite its aggressive nature, the jeans' embellishments, appliqués, trims, embroidery, and rhinestones are completely unaffected. The gel is sold in 750 ml bottles for $3.50–$4.
Nordland and Burti Noir
Housewives also love Nordland's German denim laundry detergent. This product has a thicker texture, ensuring the most gentle cleansing. Its other properties are as follows:

- contains anionic surfactants and enzymes;

Burti Noir laundry detergent is suitable not only for jeans but also for other dark or black clothing. Its main advantage is its special color-preserving technology, which prevents fading and lightening, restoring the fabric's original hue and saturation. Thanks to its active ingredients and enzymes, it cleans in both cool and hot water. It also contains fabric softener, which prevents pilling and promotes thorough rinsing. Another plus is that the concentrate contains a fabric softener, which protects the machine from limescale. A bottle typically costs $3.50–$4.50.

Woolite Premium
Woolite Premium Dark has proven itself to be an excellent cleaner for denim. Its unique formula, infused with keratin, is its key feature. The active substance does not dissolve in water, but penetrates the structure of the fabric and smoothes out coarse fibers, restoring them from the inside. As a result, jeans and dark fabrics regain their lost color, and lint and fluff are removed without a trace. The gel also offers the following benefits:
Woolite Premium gel products contain hydrolyzed keratin, which restores tissue from the inside.
- Italian development and domestic production;
- made on the basis of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants and enzymes;
- Suitable for machine and hand washing of synthetics, cotton and dark clothes;

- fragrance free;
- economical consumption (one bottle is enough for 18 washes);
- For colored jeans, another product from Woolite is suitable – Premium Color with keratin.
A 900 ml bottle of gel costs approximately $2.50–$5, depending on the store you choose. In addition to the "denim" product, the manufacturer also offers concentrates for other fabric types and colors, from cashmere and silk to synthetics and cotton.
