Reviews of the Snow White washing machine

Snow White washing machine reviewsThere are quite a few reviews of the Belosnezhka 45 semi-automatic washing machine. Some of them are inflated, but there are also genuine opinions from Belosnezhka owners. In this publication, we've honestly rewritten real reviews of these inexpensive and quite functional washing machines in our own words. Here's what we found.

Snow White XPB 45-968S

Norio, St. Petersburg

Why did I ever buy this awful machine? I read so many glowing reviews online, saying it was so good, the washing was fantastic, it spun better than automatic models, and it was so cheap. So, I bought the Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S. My first impression truly matched the reviews, because it:

  • cheap;
  • compact;
  • not noisy;
  • washes and spins well.

But my joy was short-lived. After seven months, the pump failed. The service center was at a loss, but they offered to give me a run-down on the warranty and install a new pump at my expense. It's still working, but I was warned that it wouldn't last long. Conclusion: this machine is suitable for fans of disposable appliances, as the cheap Chinese parts are designed to last 1-1.5 years.

I've never seen a more poorly assembled machine than the Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S. Where were my eyes when I bought it? You can't expect much from a hundred-dollar machine, but this one goes beyond that. It looks like it wasn't assembled, but chopped up with an axe. The parts fit poorly, and the manufacturers refused to include hinges or hinges on the lid, so it just slaps on.

In addition, the manufacturer saved on the sealing rubber, so water leaks here and there and you need to lay down rags during washing.

I've been using this washing machine for a year and a month, and I'm fed up with it. It constantly leaks, it's difficult to use, and it ruins my clothes because the centrifuge spins like crazy—6-7 spins and the shirt is gone. The Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S machine may be cheap, but if I'd known, I wouldn't have paid half that much for it. I don't recommend this model to anyone!

I was looking for a budget-friendly semi-automatic washing machine. I didn't bother with technical specifications at all, just looking at the price; I needed to stay under 6,000 rubles. I settled on the Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S. I liked the look of it, measured the frame, and it fit in the closet, so I bought it. I used it for three months, or rather, didn't use it, but rather suffered through it, then took it to the garage. It turns out that all the advantages of this washing machine were immediately apparent in the store, but I hadn't suspected the disadvantages, and the salesperson hadn't mentioned them.

  1. The instruction manual that came with the washing machine is completely useless. The description in it is a crude translation from Chinese, and a computer translation at that.
  2. The very first wash revealed a major flaw: the tank was leaking from the bottom. I had to grab a tube of automotive sealant and seal it.
  3. The top lid does not fit tightly to the tank body and some water leaks onto the floor during washing. To wash without consequences, you need to line the washing machine with rags.
  4. The hoses were also leaking. To fix this, I had to install hose clamps.

The hoses on this machine are incredibly short. It seems the Chinese manufacturer decided to cut corners as much as possible.

Furthermore, the Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S washing machine completely lacks an on/off switch. To turn the machine on or off, you have to yank the power cord—it's inconvenient and unsafe. In my opinion, the Belosnezhka XPB 45-968S washing machine is terrible. Don't buy it under any circumstances—it's a waste of money.

Snow White B 5500-5LG

Snow White B 5500-5LGElena, Saratov

Last year, I bought a Belosnezhka B 5500-5LG washing machine for our dacha. It's certainly not my dream, but it gets the job done well. I like that it has a large load capacity, a good spin cycle, and it's easy to carry. The price is also low. The only downside I can think of is that the wash tank doesn't hold water well, but I do my laundry on the porch, so I don't care. I love it!

Vyacheslav, Tambov

For those who prefer a quiet and serene life, I'd recommend buying an automatic washing machine and not worrying about it. For those who want to tinker with the appliance, I can recommend the Belosnezhka B 5500-5LG. Our relatives gave us this technological marvel; they should have thought better of bringing an envelope with cash. First, I sealed the housing with sealant, installed a few rubber gaskets, and then started the wash cycle. The hose started leaking almost immediately. Conclusion: it's a terrible machine.

Oksana, Vladivostok

I owned a Belosnezhka PB 40-2008S washing machine for a total of four months, and during that time I suffered so much that I can't even look at a semi-automatic machine anymore. If someone were to ask me to find any positives about this model, I wouldn't be able to, as it's a complete wreck.

  • The tank is made of such thin plastic that it feels like it's about to burst.
  • The wiring is very unreliable; after the second wash, the power cord started sparking. My husband had to install a cord and plug from an old Soviet-era washing machine.
  • The cabinet is leaking a little, and it's unclear where it's coming from. To prevent damaging the laminate, I had to lay down a whole bunch of rags.

There are sharp plastic burrs on the side of the lid. I seriously cut my finger on one of them.

People, be careful, don't buy this Chinese piece of junk with a Russian name. It won't work for long, and it'll only fray your nerves.

Julia, Novosibirsk

I chose the Belosnezhka PB 40-2008S washing machine and the only thing I regret is that I bought a model without a spin function. It would be much better with a centrifuge, but now I wring out the laundry by hand and suffer. I'm especially pleased with the spacious wash tank, which allows me to wash everything I've accumulated over the week. The washing machine gets an A+ from me.

In conclusion, as you can see, people aren't giving the best reviews about Snow White washing machines, and there are good reasons for that. Be careful and cautious when purchasing. Don't hesitate to examine the machine in the store, and ask the salesperson to unpack and inspect it; this can help avoid some problems.
