Candy under-sink washing machine

Candy washing machine under the sink, bathtub on the rightIn a small bathroom, it's tempting to install a washing machine under the sink. It won't be in the way and there'll still be plenty of space for other useful furnishings. The problem is, not every machine will fit under the sink. For this reason, consider Candy's low-profile 4 kg washing machines. They fit under the sink like a glove, and that's what we'll be discussing today.

What should the technique be?

Many people would like to install a washing machine under the bathroom sink, but there's a serious obstacle: the machine's size. A standard front-loading washing machine has:

  • height about 85 cm;
  • depth about 60 cm;
  • width 60-70 cm.

According to regulations, the sink above must completely cover the washing machine body and, moreover, protrude 5 cm from the front. What kind of sink can cover such a large machine? It wouldn't be a sink, but a full bathtub.

The main problem is not even this, although this is important. The height of a standard front loading machine is too high. It can reach up to 85-90 cm. Add a 1 cm gap and the sink's average height of 15 cm, resulting in a sink at a respectable height of 85 + 1 + 15 = 101 cm from the floor, and the faucet will be even higher.

For short adults, the sink will be too high, and for children it will be completely inaccessible.

It seems that a standard washing machine can't be placed under a sink, but what can you do? The answer is obvious: you need to choose a washing machine that's smaller and fits comfortably under the sink. There are special Candy under-sink washing machines. The manufacturer specifically designed them with smaller dimensions to make them more suitable for our purpose. Let's take a look at them in our short review.

Review of the best under-sink models

Everyone knows thatCandy washing machines They vary, but we know for sure that the manufacturer has strived to ensure its appliances are not only diverse but also functional. Aware of the new trend of installing washing machines under the sink, the manufacturer has responded with new models of "home helpers." We draw your attention to the following Candy washing machine models:Candy washing machine under the sink, bathtub on the left

  1. Candy Aqua 1D 835-07;
  2. Candy Aqua 1D 1035-07;
  3. Candy Aqua 2D 1040-07;
  4. Candy Aqua 2D 1140-07.

Judging by the names, the differences between these models are minor, but when you look at the specifications and then the price, the differences become noticeable. Let's take a quick look at these models.

Candy Aqua 1D 835-07. This washing machine has a capacity of 3.5 kg. It has no display and spins at a maximum of 800 rpm. While its specifications are outdated and noisy, it's attractively priced at $270. Dimensions (W x D x H) are 51 x 46.4 x 70 cm.

The Candy Aqua 1D 1035-07 is a slightly more advanced washing machine. Like the previous model, it holds 3.5 kg of laundry and can spin at up to 1000 rpm. It features a delayed start function and electronic controls. Its dimensions are identical to the model described above. The average price is $266.Candy Aqua series washing machines

Candy Aqua 2D 1040-07. This is the next-generation Candy Aqua. This machine has a display and holds 4 kg of laundry instead of 3.5 kg. A slight increase, but still an improvement. It spins up to 1000 rpm and still has compact dimensions (W x D x H – 51 x 46.4 x 70 cm). Price: $395.

Candy Aqua 2D 1140-07. A further development of the 2D 1040 series, the manufacturer has strived to provide this model with additional features while maintaining the original dimensions. It features a display, modern electronic controls, and a drum that holds up to 4 kg of laundry. The machine is equipped with child protection, a delayed start timer and a program for washing delicate fabrics. The spin speed has been increased to 1100 rpm. Price: $370.

A common drawback of the Candy Aqua series washing machines is their light weight. The machine simply didn't include the additional counterweights that would have made the machine more stable and quieter. As a result, the machine starts bouncing and making a loud noise during high-speed spin cycles. The actual noise level reaches 80 dB—a real "hello to the neighbors!" Although it should be noted that the manual states the noise level doesn't exceed 76 dB. The manufacturer is a bit misleading.

In conclusion, many people buy a dishwasher and sink as a set, and they're right to do so, as choosing separate appliances can be difficult. Fortunately, luxury sink manufacturers have already figured this out and offer buyers this useful set. Good luck!
