AEG Washing Machine Reviews
AEG L 46000 Washing Machine
Dan:
This is a simply excellent machine. Everything works perfectly. The appearance is stunning. Everything is thought out down to the smallest detail. And when the bathroom lights are off, the light panel looks gorgeous!
By the way, this is my first washing machine. I mostly do everyday laundry. We use a mid-priced detergent. It washes clothes quite well. The variety of modes allows you to choose a mode for any type of fabric and dirt level, from the lightest and most delicate fabrics to heavily soiled and thick items. The buttons are easy to use. Everything is clear and there are no unnecessary details.
I've been washing with it for two years now, and the quality is still impressive. It doesn't vibrate much. It hasn't shifted a centimeter in all that time, even though I don't set the spin cycle to less than a thousand. And since I forked out for such a big money-spinning machine, I decided not to skimp on the installation either. I had a professional installer do the installation. I believe that when it comes to expensive equipment, you should hire a professional. It's more reliable.
I can confidently recommend this model to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable machine with good performance. But I'll say right away, it's not cheap.
Pros: It doesn't take up a lot of space. It's perfect for small bathrooms or kitchenettes. I really like that it's a top-loading washer. I find them much more convenient than front-loading ones. It's also very easy to put in and take out laundry. No need to squat or bend over. The load capacity is 5.5 kg. It washes very well and saves electricity and water.
Cons: Sometimes not all the powder is washed out of the compartment. Clumps may remain. To prevent this, wipe the compartment dry with a cloth. These clumps are caused by moisture. The price is a bit high. The spin cycle is a B-.

Kirill:
I wasn't in a rush to buy a new washing machine. First, I browsed the internet and read what people were saying. I compared it with other options. I thought about it. And finally, I bought it. Only I got it at a slight discount. There were a couple of minor defects on the body. I got a good discount for that. And defects don't really bother me. After all, they didn't affect the machine's performance at all, just its appearance. And even then, not much.
The machine is good. Italian assembly. I called in professionals for installation to make sure everything was hooked up properly. It's been washing for a year now and everything is perfect. One downside is that the time displayed on the display, which is supposed to show how much time is left until the end of the wash cycle, is often incorrect. But that's not a big deal.
This isn't my first washing machine. Before that, I had an Indesit. Its heating element died after just a month and a half. It's a good thing the store took it back. They say some people have problems returning appliances. I also have a pretty good Zanussi machine. European assemblyIt still works and pretty well. I'm just not entirely happy with the functionality. And it's getting a bit old.
What good things did I find in the new machine?
- Good functionality. You can add various options to the basic programs. For example, add a rinse cycle or a stronger spin. The old Zanussi didn't have this.
- Cleaning the drain filter is very convenient. Incidentally, it's recommended to do this every six months. Sometimes it gets very clogged, so I recommend you do the same.
- Washes and spins very quietly. No noise or vibration.
- Convenient and clear display.
I don't really like the fact that all the machines of this model only come in one color. I'd like a black or red one. These faded white and beige washing machines are too boring. Although my girlfriend likes this one too.
Finally, I'd like to give some advice to all future washing machine buyers. Don't try to save too much. After all, you want to buy a good appliance, not one that'll break in a year. I also initially considered saving money, but then I decided it's better to buy something decent once, so you don't have to worry about repairs and other issues later. And it's best not to buy washing machines assembled in the CIS or Chinese countries. It's better to look for a European one. They're much more reliable!
Pros:It works quietly, has convenient modes, additional options and functions.
Cons: There are no different colors, I had to take the standard beige color.

Innocent:
I bought just one AEG washing machine and have decided I won't buy any more appliances from this manufacturer. The parts are low-quality. They wear out and fail quickly. And the parts are expensive. I'd fix it myself. But it turns out that even doing it myself isn't cost-effective. The warranty period had just expired when the bearings failed. I think they've designed everything this way, so the machine will work just fine while under warranty, and then break down faster. And the worst part is, their insidious design means the bearings can't be replaced individually. The drum is plastic and sealed, not disassemblable. This means you can't take it apart to change the bearings. You have to replace the entire drum. And that's very expensive. Almost as much as a new washing machine.
But I managed to cut apart the non-detachable drum. I replaced the bearing (it's cheap) and secured the drum with bolts and sealant. Everything would have been fine, but after just three months, the electronics failed. The machine started malfunctioning and glitching. The control module is also far from the cheapest part. I could have replaced it, but I decided that after two years of use, this washing machine had already sucked enough of my blood. So now I'll buy a new one. But definitely not an AEG. I give that manufacturer a big, fat CROSS!
Pros: Good wash, popular manufacturer.
Cons: It breaks too often. It's not cost-effective to repair it, even if you do it yourself, since the parts are expensive.

Alena:
I really liked the machine. It's just a shame the easy ironing option can't be added to all programs. It can only be launched as a separate mode. It would be even better if I could add it to all the necessary modes. It's a very good thing.
The machine washes beautifully! It's a bit noisy at times, but the wash quality and extensive functionality more than make up for this minor drawback!
Pros: washes well.
Cons: It sometimes makes noise.

AEG L58547SL. When I bought it, the drum smelled like cheap plastic for a long time. A call to customer service was unsuccessful. It's quite quiet. I have a fluffy cat at home, and the fur just gets into my clothes during washing. It's terrible at removing stains. The rinse cycle isn't very good either; I had to constantly increase the rinse time. After two years, it broke and simply won't turn on. I don't even plan to repair it. I don't recommend it.
My AEG L70270VFF worked for 2.5 years, then the motor burned out. I replaced it for $80. Now I need to replace the bearing, but the drum is not collapsible!!! A new one costs about $120, and I have to wait at least 1.5-2 months to get it from the manufacturer. And then what, change it again in 2 years? I unscrewed the wheel at the back of the drum on the pin and look! There isn't even a seal that should cover the bearing itself. The bearing is rusty. I have two children, we wash every day, take a mandatory break between washes, rarely spin at maximum speed, so what? How else should I take care of the machine to ensure its longevity? Hand wash? My previous machine lasted 8 years (I won't name the years). We only replaced it because we had a second child and needed a machine with a larger load. I am very disappointed with the AEG and will not conduct any further experiments to prove otherwise. The car is unreliable, expensive to repair, and some of it is completely impossible to repair. It's just a show-off.
I have an AEG 62610. It worked for 6 years. The door lock broke, and the control unit (control unit + display board) failed. The repair cost $110. All the parts were used. They repaired it, but the motor burned out after two washes. I started looking into it, and it turns out Western engineers pre-program the failure and lifespan of the product. In short, it's rubbish! Before this SCRAP METAL (money killer), I had a "Milka." It worked for 10 years, and then I got it and threw it away (I had it repaired and decided to buy everything new). The same thing happened with my AEG dishwasher—it worked for 2.5 years and then died. In short, don't buy an AEG!!!
