Malutka washing machines with spin
Small, easily portable, agitator-type washing machines are called "Malyutka." The name of this specific model has become a catchall for all miniature machines. Let's explore what a Malyutka washing machine with a spin function is and how to use it.
Design Features
Malutki are semi-automatic washing machines consisting of a plastic drum with a lid, an actuator, and a mechanical control unit. The primary function of these machines is washing. However, the drum can be used not only for washing but also for rinsing, by changing the water. The smallest machines in this series have a tank capacity of 20 liters of water and are designed to wash 2-3 kg of laundry.
The machine is so basic that it doesn't have multiple washing modes, just one program. The only thing that can be changed in this program is the duration. This is done by turning the timer knob. Some machines also have a reverse function, meaning the activator can rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise.
The reverse movement of the activator prevents the laundry from twisting during washing and wearing out.
Machine models with a spin cycle
Almost all compact machines don't have a spin function, but there are a few models with this feature. Spinning is accomplished by a centrifuge inserted into the drum. Here are these models:
- The Rolsen WVL-300S is a 37 x 51 x 37 cm washing machine with a 3 kg dry load capacity. The spin speed is limited to 300 rpm.

- The Vimar VWM-44 is a self-contained washing machine. It features a spin cycle and a 4 kg dry capacity.

- The Vimar VWM-63 is a washing machine similar to the previous model. The main difference is its maximum load capacity, which is 6 kg.

- The Evgo EWA-2511 is a mini activator washing machine with electronic controls. It has a maximum load capacity of 2.5 kg. This machine is distinguished from others by its built-in drum with holes. The "bubble" wash cycle is more effective and efficient. The spin speed is 850 rpm.

Pros and cons
Why are such washing machines still in demand and available on the market? It's all down to the undeniable advantages noted by users on forums, leaving car reviews:
- small size – this makes it easy to carry and transport the machine, and find a place to store it;
- short wash cycle – total time does not exceed 15 minutes, including rinsing and spinning;
- low power consumption;
- Simple design means reliability. This type of equipment lasts a long time and rarely breaks down. And if it does break, it's easy to repair or replace;
- reasonable price, which ranges from $20 to $45;
- It does not require sewerage or water supply, so it can be used in the country.
Automatic washing machines have practically displaced the Malutka washing machine from the market, as it has the following disadvantages:
- the washing process must be monitored at all times;
- the load volume is too small, it is impossible to wash and spin large items;
- lack of a variety of washing modes for different types of fabric;
- high water consumption, the need to heat water in a separate container.
How to use
Using this equipment is incredibly easy. Even without the manual, you'll figure it out intuitively. Here's how it works:
- Install the machine above the bathtub or on the floor.
- Fill the machine with water heated to the required temperature.
- Add washing powder according to the dosage indicated on the packaging.
- Place the laundry in the washing machine and close the lid.
- Plug the machine into a power outlet and turn the timer to 7-10 minutes.
If necessary, you can repeat the wash cycle. However, don't start the machine immediately; wait a bit for the laundry to soak in the water, otherwise the motor may overheat.
- We take things out of the car. We put in a second batch of things, for example, dark ones. If there are no things
or the water is dirty, then we drain it through a hose into a bucket. - We fill the tank with clean warm water and add the washed laundry to rinse.
- Turn the timer back to 2-3 minutes.
- We take out the laundry and drain the water.
- We install a centrifuge at the bottom of the tank.
- We store things, dividing them into several parts. This is necessary to avoid overload.
- We take out the wrung-out items.
- We wipe the machine from the inside and outside and put it away in a storage place.
Thus, the Malutka washing machine is a great helper around the house when buying an automatic machine isn't an option. It's better to wash clothes in the Malutka than by hand in a basin.
