How to use Vanish in a washing machine?

How to use Vanish in a washing machineThe Vanish brand offers a variety of household whitening products. The company produces powder, spray, and gel stain removers for fabrics, as well as carpet and furniture cleaners. A separate line has also been developed for pet owners. Vanish can be used in the washing machine to remove stains from clothing and restore fabrics to their original whiteness. Just be sure to understand how much to add and where to add it.

Instructions for using Vanish in a washing machine

Vanish is easy to use at home, especially when cleaning in an automatic machine. It is enough to study the instructions on the package and calculate the dosage correctly. Typically, the bleaching process consists of two stages: soaking in a basin and washing in a washing machine. For best results, soak the soiled item first. Add 100 ml of liquid or one scoop of dry Vanish stain remover to every 4 liters of water. Then, sort the clothes by fabric type and color and soak them in the resulting solution for 2-6 hours. Then, rinse the items and load them into the washing machine drum.

The second step is to wash bleached items in the washing machine. The procedure is standard; the main thing is to add Vanish detergent correctly to the detergent dispenser. It's no secret that every washing machine has several compartments for different detergent types and cycle stages. If you mix up the compartments, the washing quality will be seriously affected: clothes will either remain dirty or won't have time to rinse out the soap. To avoid mistakes, it's important to familiarize yourself with the dispenser.Add Vanish to the main wash compartment.

On front-loading machines, the powder compartment is located in the upper left corner of the machine body; on vertical-loading machines, it's located under the top cover. In either case, the dispenser has three compartments, marked with numbers or letters.

  • "*," "Softener," with a flower symbol—the smallest compartment, located in the center of the dispenser. It's designed for additional liquid products: conditioners, fragrances, rinses, and fabric softeners. The drawer is only used during the rinse cycle, so adding Vanish to it is pointless—it won't have time to work on the stains.
  • "A" and "I" are medium-sized compartments from which detergent or gel is removed only when the "Soak" or "Prewash" modes are selected. The system blocks this compartment on other programs, so it is not suitable for Vanish.
  • "B," "II" is the largest compartment, usually located on the left side. This is where detergent is drawn for any cycle, as this is the main wash compartment. All dry and liquid detergents, including stain removers and bleaches, are added here. Therefore, Vanish should also be added through this compartment.

If your washing machine does not have a special compartment for bleach, Vanish is added to compartment “B” or “II”.

If your washing machine doesn't have a dedicated bleach compartment, Vanish is added to the main wash compartment. It's marked with a "B" and is located on the left. The cycle is then set and activated as normal.

Special compartment

Modern washing machines are equipped with a special compartment for bleach, marked with a triangle. It's easy to tell if your machine has one: just carefully inspect the detergent drawer or read the manufacturer's instructions. If there's a separate compartment, pour the stain remover into it:special compartment for Vanish

  • "pull out" the cuvette;
  • measure out the required amount of liquid;
  • fill the compartment (not exceeding the “max” level).

Some washing machines have a special compartment for bleach – a tray marked with a triangle icon.

Another way to use Vanish in your washing machine is to add bleach directly to the drum. Just be sure not to pour or sprinkle the bleach directly onto the laundry, cover the pile with a cloth, or rinse with a glass of water. Do not splash stain remover on the fabric, otherwise the fibers will be damaged.

Selecting a program

Modern machines offer a special "Bleaching" mode. This program helps the bleach to better open up and remove all stains from the fibers. If this option is available, it's recommended to use Vanish with it. Activating the "Bleaching" mode is simple. First, start the main wash with your regular detergent. Then, without removing the items from the drum, begin cleaning:

  • pour Vanish into a special compartment;
  • turn on "Whitening".

That's it! The system will automatically set the temperature, spin, and cycle duration. All you have to do is wait for the cycle to finish and evaluate the results.
