How to turn on the Super Rinse mode in an LG washing machine
LG automatic washing machines feature a "Super Rinse" mode. This is a very useful feature that completely removes detergent residue from fabric fibers. Some users don't know how to activate this feature, so they neglect it. Enabling the "Super Rinse" mode is very simple. Let's figure out how to activate it. We'll also explain what other washing programs are available on LG automatic machines.
Options for activating this mode
The "Super Rinse" option is added to the main wash cycle. To activate the feature, press the corresponding button on the control panel. On most LG washing machines, the function is activated as follows:
- connect the washing machine to the power supply;
- press the network button;
- Use the programmer to select the desired washing mode;
- Find the button on the control panel next to the inscription: “Super rinse”, press the button;
- start the cycle.
The Super Rinse option is not compatible with all LG washing machine modes.
For example, "Super Rinse" cannot be activated when using the Quick, Delicate, and Hand Wash cycles, as well as the "Duvet," "Bulky Items," and "Wool" cycles. This feature is compatible with other LG washing machine programs.
Washing machines with touchscreen displays won't have this text. The control panel of these machines is littered with interactive icons. The crossed-out T-shirt symbol with a “+” sign indicates the “Super Rinse” option. Clicking on the image activates the function.
Brief descriptions of LG SM programs
LG washing machines feature a wide range of wash modes. This allows users to easily select a program suitable for any fabric. A description of the basic algorithms and additional features is provided in the machine's manual.
Before using your LG washing machine for the first time, be sure to review the user manual.
Once you've mastered all the settings, you can maximize the potential of your LG washing machine. We'll explain the features of each algorithm and how long each program lasts.
- Cotton. This is the most frequently used algorithm. Ideal for caring for cotton items and other natural fabrics. You can select a wash temperature of 40°C, 60°C, or 90°C. At maximum heat, the machine runs for approximately two hours. Spinning is performed at the highest speed, and the drum speed is adjustable.
- Synthetics. Designed for synthetic and blended fabrics. Water temperature is raised to 40°C, and the wash cycle lasts approximately one hour. The temperature can be increased to 60°C.
- Intensive. This cycle is designed for washing moderately to heavily soiled items. Suitable for many fabric types, including cotton, synthetics, and blends. The cycle lasts 60 minutes. The water in the drum is heated to 60°C.
- Baby clothes. The key feature of this program is multiple rinse cycles. This ensures that all detergent is removed from the fabric fibers. The cycle lasts approximately two and a half hours. You can choose a wash temperature of 60°C or 90°C.

- Hypoallergenic. This cycle is designed specifically for people with sensitive skin and those prone to allergies. The water is heated to 60 degrees Celsius, and the items are rinsed several times in the drum. The cycle lasts for approximately two hours.
- Quick 30. This program is designed for lightly soiled laundry. The cycle takes 30 to 40 minutes (depending on the selected wash temperature and spin intensity). It's important to load the drum no more than half full when starting this program. This mode is considered the most economical, providing minimal water and kilowatt consumption.
- Night Wash. This is the quietest program on LG washing machines, ideal for evening use. The drum moves smoothly, and laundry is spun at a low speed. The cycle lasts 45 minutes. A half load is required. This program is only suitable for lightly soiled items.
- Cotton Quick. Suitable for everyday washing. Water is heated to 60°C and the cycle runs for 90 minutes. This program is ideal for lightly to moderately soiled cotton items.
- Delicate wash. A program designed for the care of delicate fabrics. This setting is suitable for viscose, silk, satin, and lace items. The cycle lasts no more than an hour in water heated to 40 degrees Celsius. The spin speed is minimal.
- Wool. This program is designed for wool and acrylic items. The program does not include a spin cycle, and spinning cannot be enabled. This is to prevent deformation of the garments. The wash cycle is performed in cool water and takes approximately 60 minutes.

- Sportswear. A special program for washing membrane fabrics. The drum temperature is raised to 60°C. The cycle lasts approximately one hour. The spin speed is medium.
- Down duvet. This option is designed for down-filled outerwear, as well as pillows, blankets, and other bedding. The wash temperature is 40°C. The low temperature preserves the properties of the down duvet's inner filling. The program duration is approximately one and a half hours.
- Dark Fabrics. This program is suitable for washing colored items. The water temperature is raised to 30-40°C to preserve the colors of the items. The spin speed can be adjusted.
The software "stuffing" of LG washing machines is quite diverse. By understanding the features of each mode, the user will be able to ensure the highest quality care for their items. That is why it is so important to study the instructions for the machine before starting to use the device.
Many LG washing machines feature a "My Program" feature. This allows the user to save their own cycle settings, including water temperature, number of rinse cycles, and spin speed. The cycle duration can be customized.
Some LG models feature a steam treatment option. This feature can be added to the main wash cycle or used separately. This feature removes up to 99% of bacteria and allergens from fabric fibers.
