Baby dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher
Today, more and more housewives are trusting their dishes to the dishwasher, almost completely abandoning hand washing. This is convenient, but the question arises: can baby dishes be washed in the dishwasher along with adult dishes, especially when it comes to bottles and bowls used by very young children? Most likely, no. So, another question: what kind of baby dishwasher tablets should be used to ensure that no harmful components end up in a child's delicate body? Let's try to answer that.
Rating of popular products
To answer our question, our experts decided to compile a rating of the safest dishwasher tablets. These are recommended, among other things, for washing children's dishes. The necessary products were purchased and thoroughly tested. A number of simple requirements for the tablets included in the rating were formulated in advance. They must be effective, their ingredients must rinse easily from dishes, and be safe for children.
Our specialists also paid attention to the presence of potential allergens in the tablets.
Twenty-six varieties of pills were tested, and four received ratings. The rankings were rather unexpected.
- Vaily tablets received the most points, and our experts awarded them first place.
- In second place were Ecover tablets, which received slightly fewer points.
- Unexpectedly, our former favorite ended up in third place with a big lead – BioMio dishwasher tablets.
- Rounding out our ranking, in 4th place, are tablets for children's dishes from the well-known brand Ushasty Nyan.
Vaily
Let's start with the leader of our rating. Why did Vaily tablets take first place? Firstly, they do not contain phosphates, phosphonates, chlorine, or other harmful chemicals potentially dangerous for children. Secondly, these tablets are hypoallergenic, a fact confirmed by our independent research. The tablets do not contain any flavoring that could cause allergies in babies. Thirdly, this product cleans dishes perfectly, and it copes especially well with difficult stains.
Without a doubt, Vaily's eco-friendly tablets deserve first place. It's great that this product is made in Russia. It comes in a convenient cardboard box containing 30 tablets. The manufacturer notes on the packaging that the tablets are recommended for washing children's dishes. We can only agree with this recommendation. The average price for this product is around $7.
Ecover
This product has been repeatedly analyzed by our specialists and has always received high marks. It took second place in this ranking because it contains a citrus flavoring. This flavoring itself is harmless to a healthy child, especially since it settles on dishes in very small quantities. However, our specialists believe that this flavoring may cause a reaction in children with allergies.
Otherwise, Ecover tablets deserve praise. Firstly, they are harmless to people and the environment. Secondly, they are very effective at removing even the most stubborn stains on dishes. Thirdly, they dissolve easily in cold water and give dishes a dazzling shine. Conclusion: good tablets, suitable for children's dishes.
The price of Ecover tablets is quite high – about $11 for a pack of 25 tablets.
BioMio
The highly advertised BioMio tablets partially failed efficacy tests and lost several points due to their inability to remove dried cereal from plates. Furthermore, the tablets contain a rather "powerful" eucalyptus flavoring, which could seriously harm a child with allergies.
Despite this, the tablets do not contain any hazardous chemicals. They dissolve easily in cool water, are environmentally friendly, have a dissolvable coating, and are quite reasonably priced. Thirty tablets cost about $8.
Long-eared nanny
The Ushasty Nyan line of products recently came under fire from the media. And for good reason. Harmful ingredients capable of causing serious illnesses in children were discovered in the baby detergent. Today, the situation is improving. The manufacturer is clearly redeeming itself by offering customers completely safe and environmentally friendly baby dishwashing tablets. Ushasty Nyan tablets could have easily claimed first place in our ranking if they had scored enough points, but they didn't.
The reason our experts gave the "Ushastik" a low rating is due to its effectiveness. The tablets did not remove 3 types of stains out of 7. This is the worst result. What's the point of discussing the safety of dishwashing tablets if they fail to perform their primary function? Ultimately, they only placed fourth, but they could easily have been eliminated from our ranking. The tablets are streak-free, suitable for cleaning glass and stainless steel, and dissolve well in cool water. The average cost of a pack of 20 tablets is $5.
This concludes our discussion today. The above ranking reflects the opinions of a small group of experts and does not claim to be completely objective. However, it does offer some preliminary conclusions that will help you choose the best dishwashing detergent for your child. Good luck!
