Indesit washing machine test mode

Indesit washing machine test modeAll automatic washing machines have a test mode. Many users aren't even aware of it or understand its purpose. Let's look at how to activate the test mode on an Indesit washing machine, what the feature does, and when to use it.

Purpose of this program

Modern washing machines are capable of diagnosing system malfunctions and notifying the user. Typically, the self-diagnosis program starts automatically. If this doesn't happen, you need to enter test mode and manually run a check of the machine's modules. The "Service Test" examines the operation of each machine component in turn and identifies the fault.

This procedure is not difficult. Therefore, if the washing machine simply freezes mid-cycle and doesn't notify the user of the problem, run the "Service Test" option and try to determine the cause of the malfunction to avoid calling a technician.

Activating the mode and an example of its operation

Using the test mode to diagnose a washing machine problem is very convenient. It's much better to automatically check the machine's components than to disassemble it and inspect each part manually. The service test allows you to narrow down the range of possible problems to a minimum. To enter diagnostic mode, follow these steps:service test activation

  • set the program switch knob to position 1, press the “ON” button;
  • move the selector to position 2, turn off the machine;
  • return the programmer to position 1, press the power button;
  • set the handle to position three, turn off the equipment;
  • turn the selector back to 1, press the start button;
  • Set the switch to "Drain" and start the test mode.

The pause between switching the programmer should not exceed 3 seconds.

After completing the service test, the washing machine will display a fault code. Machines without a display inform the user of the error by flashing the control panel indicator. For owners of machines with a display, it's even easier—the washing machine will display the error code on the screen. All that's left to do is decipher the code in the user manual. This makes it easy to determine what exactly is wrong with the system.

How does diagnostics work? Test mode involves running a standard program without laundry, during which the operation of each component is checked. When the test begins, the fill valve is activated, filling the tank with water. Afterward, the pressure switch detects the liquid level and sends a signal to the module to stop filling. The heating element then heats the water to the set temperature, and the motor begins rotating the drum. The drain is then activated, and the spin cycle begins at maximum speed. This intelligent system can identify the phase of the wash cycle where the problem occurs and notify the user.

    Hello, I have an Indesit LB2000C washing machine from 2004. The problem is that it entered test mode on its own and won't exit it! I've tried everything, but nothing works! Could you please tell me what to do? And how can I get the machine out of test mode?
