In fact, it's not the width that matters, but the depth of the machine. Narrow Bosch washing machines have a depth of up to 45 cm. More often, the depth is 40 cm or even less. Let's take a look at the features of these Bosch washing machines and create a short review, including several models that fit this width.

The narrower the better?

For several years now, there's been a real race among front-loading washing machine manufacturers. Everyone is striving to create a production model with the narrowest possible body. Initially, they managed to produce models with a body depth just under 45 cm, then the bar dropped to 40 cm, then to 35 cm, and now we're talking about washing machines with a body depth of 33 cm.

Why is it so important to design models with a narrow frame? Because these models take up less space in the bathroom, fitting closer to the wall. Although super-narrow models have their drawbacks, such as poor balance due to reduced counterweights and a smaller drum capacity. Today, you can find some good narrow models of Bosch washing machines with front loading on sale:

We decided to include these models in our review today. These machines feature wider loading doors, direct-drive motors, modern intelligent controls, and reduced resource consumption.

In our opinion, it's better to buy a top-loading washing machine than to endure the drawbacks of a Bosch front-loader that's too narrow. However, this is our subjective opinion, and we don't recommend you listen to it.

Bosch WLG 24160

This washing machine has a standard height and width, but its depth is only 40 cm. It features modern intelligent controls, a digital display, and a system of informative indicators. The maximum dry load capacity is up to 5 kg, although if the machine's body were narrower, it could be up to 7 kg. The machine's body is a standard white color.

This model features the ability to spin the drum at up to 1200 rpm, select the spin speed, or cancel the spin cycle entirely. There are 15 washing programs available, and most interestingly, almost all of them are popular. This suggests that the new generation of washing machines has more sophisticated programs. The machine is fully protected against water leaks, child tampering, excessive foaming, and imbalances. The Bosch WLG 24160 door opens 180 degrees and has a diameter of 30 cm. The current price is $364.

Bosch WLG 20160

The previous-generation Bosch WLG 20160 is very similar to the WLG 24160. It also has a 5 kg drum, but its maximum spin speed is more modest at 1000 rpm. The machine's dimensions (W x D x H) are 60 x 40 x 85 cm, and it uses 40 liters of water and approximately 0.18 kWh/kg of electricity per wash cycle. Its energy efficiency ratings aren't the best, but they're not the worst either.

The Bosch WLG 20160 has only partial leak protection, but that doesn't make it unsafe to use. Its 15 wash programs provide excellent care for a variety of fabrics. It features a delayed start and a cycle end signal. The door opens 180 degrees and is 30 cm in diameter. It also features the SpeedPerfect feature. The machine retails for $328.

Bosch WLG 2406 M

The Bosch WLG 2406 M model was made budget-friendly by removing the display, but in terms of technical characteristics it is close to mid-range models. The drum has a load capacity of 5 kg, while the spin speed can be set to 1200 rpm. Water consumption per wash is no more than 45 liters. The controls are intelligent and very simple. The selected program is highlighted by a light. You can switch between 15 washing programs.

It features full leak protection, foam control, and imbalance control. In other words, this seemingly unremarkable budget model is 100% protected. The hatch, like previous models, opens 180 degrees and has a diameter of 30 cm. Temperature settings can be adjusted manually, rather than relying on the system's automatic settings. The Bosch WLG 2406 M has a depth of 40 cm. The best price is $280.

Bosch WLG 24260

This budget model stands out a bit, although we can't say it's significantly better than the Bosch WLG 2406 M. The Bosch WLG 24260 features an informative display, a 5 kg drum that's not particularly capacious by modern standards, and a spin speed of 1200 rpm. The machine's depth is also 40 cm. It offers 15 advanced washing programs, including the following:

• washing delicate fabrics;
• night wash;
• washing jackets;
• wash in plenty of water;
• comprehensive washing programs for wool and silk.

For overnight washing, you can set a delayed start (up to 24 hours). The loading hatch and door are identical to previous models. It features EcoPerfect and SpeedPerfect features. The average price of this model is $427.

To sum it up, we note thatBosch washing machines Front-loading models with narrow bodies are available. However, for some reason, models with bodies 350 mm and narrower are not available in Russia.
