Review of Electrolux narrow washing machines

Previously, any narrow Electrolux washing machine combined both an affordable price and high-quality materials and workmanship. But back then, all Electrolux washing machines were manufactured in Sweden. Today, the Electrolux brand's network of manufacturers spans the globe. That's why in this article, we'll review the new series of Electrolux washing machines, comparing them based on specifications, price, customer reviews, and other aspects.

Electrolux EWS 1256 COU

This machine has received positive reviews from users. They praise its energy efficiency (A++ is the lowest energy rating possible) and the quality of its washing results. Among the disadvantages, there are problems with balancing during the spin cycle (possibly exceeding the maximum load of 5 kg), as well as a loud squeak after washing (this sound can be turned off). Overall, based on reviews, the car received a rating of 4.5.

5 kg is a good maximum load capacity for narrow washing machines.

It's worth noting that this machine is the least water-efficient of all those reviewed here (47 liters per wash). However, this is easily offset by the following advantages:

• the presence of a variety of modes that allow you to work equally well with both heavy laundry and thin and delicate fabrics;
• A "Quick Wash" program allows you to get clean laundry in just 20 minutes. There's also a Time Manager feature, allowing you to manually set your wash time.
• the ability to make a “pause” to add laundry;
• a door that opens almost 180 degrees;
• excess foam removal system.

In terms of safety, the machine has leak protection and a child lock. It's a good set for $270.

Electrolux EWS 1066 CDS

This washing machine may be suitable for those who find 5 kg of laundry at a time too small – the Electrolux EWS 1066 CDS has a 6 kg load capacity. It also uses slightly less energy than the previous model (which, remember, already has a low-energy rating). It also features touch controls for those who appreciate advanced and stylish interfaces.

One downside is the lower spin speed (1000 rpm – 200 rpm slower than the previous version). However, this speed is sufficient for most washing machine tasks. Reviews of the machine are positive. Users note:

1. A wide range of modes to suit every taste (delicate fabrics, economical wash, super rinse, pre-wash, etc.).
2. Delayed start up to 20 hours (most washing machines provide a similar function only up to 12 hours).
3. No noise during washing (noise is still present during spinning).

Users also find the silver-gray color important. They note that compared to white washing machines, it looks more stylish and fits well into any interior.

Electrolux EWS 1054 EFU

This unit received a 4.5 rating from those who have already purchased it. They praise the ability to lower or raise the wash temperature, as well as the wash duration. Other advantages include the large door, which opens easily and closes smoothly, and the shallow depth (38 cm, although this applies to all washing machines in our review). Among the disadvantages, some note the short power cord, and some people find the touch screen inconvenient (as opposed to a mechanical or electronic one), but I think this is a matter of taste.

Compared to other Electrolux models, the Electrolux EWS 1054 EFU uses less water (41 liters per wash) but slightly more energy (0.15 kWh). Otherwise, the model's specifications are similar.

This machine provides gentle and high-quality washing for any type of laundry, whether silk, wool, delicate or heavy fabric. It's worth noting that the washing machine has an imbalance control system, so you don't have to worry about even load distribution in the drum or noise during washing. And the control system, which some users disliked, actually allows you to not only set the wash time but also monitor the progress of the wash.

Electrolux EFU 361200

This machine has a high RPM (1200 RPM) and a high spin efficiency rating, which reflects its price. Users also agree, noting that the laundry is dry after spinning and the quiet spin cycle. Since there are relatively few reviews, we won't base our rating on them.

The Electrolux EFU 361200 features OptiSense, which adjusts the wash cycle to the load and weight of the laundry. This allows you to use less water and energy when washing smaller loads (the maximum load, by the way, is 6 kg) and avoid overwashing. There's also a delayed start function, allowing you to load your laundry, select a program, and "command" the machine to start washing at a specific time convenient for you.

All these "goodies", unfortunately, affect the price, making this car somewhat more expensive than the previous ones on the list.

Overall, it's worth noting that this machine is quite powerful and, despite its compact dimensions (60 cm wide, 38 cm deep, 85 cm high), it can wash just as well as larger washing machines. So, if you need a powerful machine that doesn't take up all the space in your bathroom or kitchen, this is the option for you.

Electrolux SW 31K6121

This machine uses the least water (only 40 liters per wash). However, it's equally impressive in every other way: low energy consumption (0.13 kWh/kg), high washing efficiency, and a high spin speed (1200 rpm). This machine offers a total of 14 washing programs.

SW 31K6121 also has:

• a function that allows you to select the spin speed;
• reliable protection against leakage;
• pre-wash mode;
• wool wash cycle;
• sportswear washing mode;
• economy wash mode;
• the ability to manually select the washing temperature;
• load and balance control;
• foam quantity control;
• programs for washing silk, jeans, down items;
• compartment for powder in liquid form;
• child protection.

It's worth noting that this model lacks outerwear and baby wash cycles, a stain removal program, a soak program, a drying function, and the ability to pause and add laundry. Since this model is new, it's difficult to judge based on reviews at this time. However, a few owners have noted the SW 31K6121's ease of use and spin quality.
