Turning on the Gorenje dishwasher

Simply turning on a Gorenje dishwasher and running a standard wash cycle is easy—even a primary school-aged child can handle it. However, this only applies to standard starts, which are typically used over a long period of time, so all the initial preparation steps have already been completed. Why perform a dry run of the dishwasher?

First time washing dishes

After a test wash, don't immediately begin a full cycle with dirty dishes, as you'll need to wait for the machine to cool down. This is because continuous operation can lead to negative consequences, such as overloading and damage to the heating element and pump.

Once your Gorenje appliance has cooled down, you can load it with dishes, removing any food residue first. The salt and rinse aid should last for several months after an empty wash, so there's no need to add any detergent for the first wash. To ensure perfect cleaning, dishes must be properly arranged in the compartments so that none of the utensils interfere with the movement of the wash arms, and water can freely flow into all areas of the chamber.

When you first buy a dishwasher, don't focus on loading the dishwasher quickly. Instead, learn how to properly arrange dishes in the baskets. With experience, this process will take you no more than 10 minutes.

Once all the dishes are clean and optimally positioned inside the machine, there's enough detergent, and the program is selected, you're ready to start washing. While setting up the cycle and preparing the wash cycle may seem time-consuming at first, you'll soon realize how much easier a Gorenje dishwasher can be.

Operating instructions apply not only to the initial and first wash, but to every cycle. To extend the life of your home appliance, you should remember a few generally accepted rules:
