How to turn on a Leran dishwasher and start the wash

How to turn on a Leran dishwasher and start the washNew dishwasher owners often wonder how to start the appliance. Turning on a Leran dishwasher is very simple: just plug it into a power outlet and press the "On" button on the control panel. But that's only 1% of what owners need to know. We'll also cover how to add detergent, how to properly load dishes, and which program to choose.

Add the necessary funds

When you purchase a new dishwasher, be sure to read the instructions for use. The user manual contains all the recommendations for operating the equipment. From how to connect the appliance to the utilities and start the washer, to a description of all the programs and care tips.

The first time you run a new dishwasher, it should be empty, with no dishes in the chamber. This cycle is necessary to clean the inside of the machine and also to observe its operation. However, before the test run, be sure to load the dishwasher with special detergents.

For the dishwasher to function properly, you will need special salt, detergent and rinse aid.

Before turning on the Leran dishwasher for the first time, you must:

  • adjust the softener;
  • add dishwasher salt to the softener and pour 500 ml of water into it;
  • pour rinse aid into the dispenser;
  • Add dishwashing detergent to the tray.How often should I add salt to my dishwasher?

To adjust the water softener in your dishwasher, you need to know the water hardness level in your region. You can measure it using special test strips. Another option is to call your local water utility and confirm the reading. Salt consumption is adjusted based on this information.

Once you've determined the water hardness of your tap water, adjust the softener settings. The correct setting is specified in the Leran dishwasher manual. You can then add salt to the special container. The procedure is as follows:

  • remove the lower basket from the wash chamber;
  • find the lid at the bottom of the bin and unscrew it;
  • pour about 1.5 kg of salt into the container;
  • pour 500 ml of water into the compartment;
  • Tighten the cap counterclockwise.

After filling the salt container, run a test cycle as soon as possible. Otherwise, salt water can damage the dishwasher's internal components. Before running the cycle, however, add detergent to the dispenser.The dishwasher runs out of salt quickly.

The detergent dispenser is located on the dishwasher door. It has two compartments: one for the main wash, with a capacity of 20 grams, and one for the soak cycle, with a capacity of approximately 5 grams. Once the compartments are filled, close the container lid tightly.

Only detergents designed specifically for dishwashers may be used.

For a test cycle, simply adding salt and detergent is sufficient. For subsequent use, you should also add rinse aid. This prevents streaks on dishes and helps cutlery dry quickly.

The rinse aid reservoir is located in the dishwasher door, next to the detergent dispenser. It holds 110 ml. Once filled, close the lid by turning it to the right.

The rinse aid dispenser needs to be adjusted. This should also be based on the hardness of your tap water. First, set the dial to position 1. If drips remain on the dishes, turn the dial to position 2, and repeat until the desired effect is achieved.

Loading kitchen utensils

The second task you need to complete before starting the dishwasher is loading the dishes. There are some nuances here, too. It is important to arrange the cutlery correctly so that the water evenly washes each item.

The following items must not be washed in the dishwasher:

  • products with wooden, porcelain and mother-of-pearl handles;
  • dishes made of non-heat-resistant plastic;
  • tin and copper utensils;
  • thin crystal;
  • wooden dishes;
  • products made of synthetic fiber.the dishes become shiny

Before loading, remove any large food debris from dishes. Remove any burnt-on food or fruit pits from plates, and remove tea bags from mugs. Avoid loading very small items into the dishwasher, as they may fall out of the basket during the wash.

The instructions for the Leran dishwasher provide the following recommendations for loading dishes into the working chamber:

  • deep dishes (pots, saucepans, mugs) should be placed upside down;
  • Products with curves and indentations must be positioned at an angle so that water can easily flow out of the recesses;
  • All cutlery must be securely fastened in baskets so that it does not fall during the washing process;
  • the dishes should not interfere with the rotation of the dishwasher spray arms;
  • You cannot stack objects inside each other;
  • It is necessary to leave a gap between the items so that each item is washed from all sides;
  • Large items should be loaded into the lower basket, and smaller items into the upper tray;we arrange the dishes in baskets
  • Long and sharp utensils should be placed horizontally in the top basket.

Don't overload the dishwasher. Firstly, it's harmful to the machine. Secondly, it increases energy consumption. Thirdly, it makes the cutlery rinse poorly. Therefore, if you have a large amount of dishes, it's best to divide them into two batches.

Leran dishwashers are equipped with an upper and lower basket for dishes, as well as a cutlery tray. Small items are loaded from the top:

  • mugs;
  • saucers;
  • coffee cups;
  • sauce boats;
  • small salad bowls;
  • glasses.

The lower basket is designed for larger, dirtier items: pots, baking sheets, sauté pans, serving plates, frying pans, and lids. The larger the item, the closer it should be to the edge of the basket. Plates should be placed with the inside facing the center.

The height of the upper basket on Leran dishwashers can be adjusted. To do this, simply move the rollers to different guides. Additional glass holders can be lowered or removed completely.

Cutlery is placed individually in a separate, third basket. Forks and spoons should not be stacked, as this will affect the cleaning process. Slotted spoons, spatulas, and potato mashers are also placed here.

Selecting a mode and starting the equipment

Once you've loaded the dishes into the dishwasher, you can start the wash. Pour the detergent into the dispenser and plug it into a power outlet. Next, open the dishwasher door and press the "On" button. The display will light up, and you'll need to select the appropriate program.

The program is selected based on the type of dishes and the intensity of their contamination.

The range of programs will vary depending on the dishwasher model. We'll describe the modes available on most Leran machines.

  • Intensive – for heavily soiled dishes. The cycle runs at a temperature of 50-70 degrees Celsius, with a wash time of 165 minutes.
  • Standard – for normally soiled dishes. Washing takes place at 45-65 degrees Celsius, with a cycle time of 175 minutes.
  • Eco is another program for dishes with a moderate degree of soiling. This mode ensures optimal water and energy consumption. Duration: 190 minutes.
  • Glass – for lightly soiled dishes. Wash at 40°C (104°F) for 125 minutes.
  • The Express program is suitable for washing lightly soiled items. The program lasts 30 minutes.Leran FDW 45-096

Choose a program based on the type of dishes loaded in the chamber. Avoid using the intensive mode for delicate items. Also, the "Express" mode will not be effective for removing burnt-on pans and pots.

The washing mode is selected using the corresponding button on the control panel. When the program is activated, the indicator light will light. Close the door and the dishwasher will begin working.

The selected program can be adjusted if a short period of time has passed since the cycle started (before the detergent has entered the chamber). To do this:

  • open the dishwasher door;
  • Press and hold the program button for 3-5 seconds until the machine goes into standby mode;
  • select the desired washing mode;
  • Close the door.

It's also possible to add more dishes to a washing machine that's already running. To do this:

  • open the dishwasher door slightly;
  • wait until the water supply stops and open the door fully;
  • load the dishes into the basket;
  • Close the door - after 10 seconds the machine will resume operation.

When the cycle is complete, the dishwasher will beep. Turn off the dishwasher using the button and slightly open the door. Wait 5 minutes, then unload the dishwasher. This will allow the dishes in the chamber to dry and cool.
