Turning on the Vestel washing machine
Simply turning on a Vestel washing machine to start a cycle isn't enough—you also need to prepare the machine, load laundry with detergent, and set the program. It sounds complicated, but it's actually quite simple, especially if you've already owned a washing machine of any brand. The key is to follow the manufacturer's instructions and expert recommendations when starting the system. We'll explain these nuances in more detail.
First steps
If you have just purchased a Vestel washing machine, you cannot immediately turn it on and start washing with laundry. Before you begin using the machine fully, you need to follow a certain “ritual”. The following actions are involved:
- carefully read the enclosed manufacturer's instructions;
- let the machine stand at room temperature for 2-3 hours;
- remove branded stickers, staples, and foam protection;
- remove the transport bolts (they are necessary when transporting the equipment, but must be removed before starting the system);

- connect Vestel to utilities (water supply, electricity and sewerage);
- adjust the position of the body using a building level.
Damage to the machine after starting the system with transport bolts is not covered by the warranty - it is repaired at the user's expense!
The washing machine is ready for use. However, without laundry—the first run should be empty, but with detergent or cleaner. Fill the detergent drawer, close the door, and turn on any high-temperature setting. This will check the machine for proper operation and clear it of any factory grease. It's important to monitor the first run. Check for excessive motor noise and any drainage or water intake issues. A manufacturing defect should become apparent immediately, so watch the machine carefully. If everything is in order, you can run a full wash.
How to set up a regular wash?
The initial start-up of the washing machine should be done on any high-temperature program. This option is not suitable for subsequent washes; the machine should be properly configured and the cycle selected based on the type, color, and degree of soiling of the fabric. Cycle parameters are adjusted using the control panel. If you have difficulty interpreting the images and text on the control panel, consult the manufacturer's manual again. It describes each button and light in detail, and also provides a list of standard programs. Typically, the basic set of programs is sufficient; the key is to choose the most suitable ones from the list.
Having finally become familiar with the machine, we move on to starting the wash:
- we connect the machine to the power grid;
- open the water supply tap;
- We sort the items by type and color of fabric and place them in the drum (remember the minimum and maximum capacity);
- press the hatch door against the body (until you hear a characteristic click);
- fill or pour the detergent into the powder compartment (we use the markings on the compartments as a guide, we will discuss this in more detail later);
- We start the machine by pressing the network button;
- turn the programmer to the selected mode;
- We activate the wash using the “Start/Pause” button.
That's it! Now your Vestel washing machine will wash for the time set by the system. Once the cycle is complete, the machine will signal the end of the program with a beep. However, don't rush to open the door immediately after the beep—the electronic lock will only release after 3-4 minutes.
Pay special attention to the program you're using. If you mix up the buttons and select the rapid or intensive cycle for wool, the item will be irreparably damaged. Remember that delicate fabrics require different cycles, while cotton, synthetics, and denim require different cycles.
About laundry detergent
The quality of washing is also affected by the detergent. It is important to correctly calculate the dosage of concentrate prescribed on the packaging: an insufficient amount will not cope with dirt, and an excessive amount will damage the fabric. For convenience, measuring devices, a spoon, or a cap are used. The second point concerns pouring the powder. Vestel powder receptacles consist of three compartments:
- the left one, the largest one, is intended for the main wash;
- the central, smallest one, is used for additional liquid products, fragrances, softeners, and bleaches;
- right, middle, necessary when turning on pre-wash.
For cleaning delicate fabrics, cleaning products in the form of gels, capsules, tablets and wipes are recommended.
The third consideration is the quality of the concentrate. It's best not to skimp and choose fast-dissolving natural formulas. They're better at removing stains and are completely rinsed out of the fibers.
Treat the machine with care
Vestel is easy to use – just follow the instructions, select the correct cycle, and add detergent. The washing machine will do the rest: calculate the wash time, rinse, and spin the laundry. The main thing is to learn the nuances of operating the model in advance and remember the standard rules for caring for the machine. So, all users of washing machines are recommended:
- do not exceed the maximum drum load;
- do not start the machine with a half-empty tank;

- After using the machine, run an empty rinse, wipe the body with a cloth, leave the hatch and powder compartment open;
- Do not store shampoos or other items on the machine lid;
- Do not adjust the specified settings after activating the mode, otherwise the board may “freeze”;
- Measure the hardness level of your tap water and use softeners if necessary.
New Vestel equipment comes with a one-year warranty and free service!
Don't rush to turn on your newly purchased washing machine. Before a full wash, be sure to properly install the machine and run it empty. Then, you can wash as usual, following the instructions.

I have never seen a worse machine.
I completely agree, it’s a hassle and not a machine, shame on the manufacturer.
