How do I turn on the sound signal on an LG washing machine?
Almost all washing machines have a built-in sound on/off switch, including LG machines. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that not all models have a dedicated button; some require a combination of several other buttons. Overall, turning the sound on and off on an LG washing machine seems difficult, but in reality, it's not.
Old models
Older LG washing machines have everything going for them: they're durable, reliable, and easy to use. However, many people probably believe that the music on these models is preset and uncontrollable. This is a misconception; you just need to know how to easily turn the sound on or off.
First, start the washing machine.
Select any of the suggested washing programs.
Press the Stop/Start button, then immediately press and hold the Temperature and Rinse buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
Now simply stop the machine and then restart it. The sound should turn on or off depending on what was happening before.
The LGF12A8HD is one of the models where this key combination works flawlessly. However, any LG TV from around the same time will mute and re-enable the sound signal using this combination. As for more modern TVs, the approach is somewhat different.
Turn it off with one button
All models listed below can be muted or unmuted by pressing and holding a single button. An added benefit is that this can be done both while the washing machine is running (even while a wash cycle is running) and when it's turned off.
And the “magic button” for controlling the sound in all these machines is the same – “Timer mode”. Press and hold for 3-4 seconds. Done!
Machines of the updated series
This method is useless for newer LG washing machines. The program has a different combination for enabling or disabling the sound signal. You must press and hold the "Timer" and "No Crease" buttons simultaneously for exactly 3 seconds, otherwise the combination will not work. This method works on the following washing machines:
Important! You can find out which model you have either from the instructions for your washing machine (if you still have one) or from the markings on the machine body.
The key here is to take the time to figure out what type of "home assistant" your child is. After that, it's a matter of technique. Even the most fragile woman can hold down a couple of keys for three seconds; it doesn't require strength or special skills.
Thanks for the advice, everything worked out!
