Built-in dishwashers Korting
Salespeople love to talk about how good German Korting appliances are, forgetting that the brand is actually German. These dishwashers are assembled in China from Chinese components, so they can rightfully be called "purely Chinese." This, of course, doesn't mean Korting built-in dishwashers are bad; in fact, experts recommend paying special attention to certain models, and we'll definitely do so in our article today.
Advantages of this technique
It's best to start getting to know your dishwasher by considering its advantages. It's a tradition. And since we honor tradition, we decided to list these advantages right away.
- Almost all models have an impressive range of programs, unlike, for example, Bosch dishwashers.
- Korting machines have well-designed washing chambers that can accommodate dishes of almost any size.
- Instead of two sprayers, like most other machines, the Corting has three.
Three sprayers significantly improve the quality of washing and help water reach even hard-to-reach places.
- Korting has excellent transformable baskets that allow you to store both the most standard and unusual dishes.
- Most machines have an impressive range of features, including a delayed start function, a sensor that monitors water purity, and a state-of-the-art leak protection system.
It might seem like nothing out of the ordinary, but we're not talking about high-end appliances here, but rather budget- or mid-range models with a corresponding price tag. So, don't expect smartphone control from these machines, and it's pointless anyway. A dishwasher should be a kitchen workhorse, not a trendy Apple gadget!
Korting KDI 60165
Let's start our review with the Korting KDI 60165, a top-selling model according to both users and experts, and also the top-selling model last year. While not the most simple, it's quite reliable and affordable. Currently, it can be purchased for $500, putting it within the budget price range. This built-in model has a wash chamber that holds 14 place settings, including the baskets. It also has a display that displays user information.
The model is not super-economical, but it uses water within reasonable limits – no more than 11 liters per cycle. It washes dishes quite thoroughly, taking just over 3 hours on the standard cycle. It's not very noisy (47 dB).
Particularly noteworthy is the availability of eight wash programs and a limited-load mode, which significantly saves resources even with a small load of dishes. The manufacturer has also added a mid-range feature package, including:
- floor beam indicator system;
- complete protection against water leakage;
- box for capsules and tablets;
- a set of light bulbs for the salt box and rinse aid compartment.

Corting machines feature extremely sturdy baskets with a unique configuration for easy loading. They also feature a unique spoon and fork tray, as well as an improved glass holder with silicone tips.
Korting KDI 60175
This Korting dishwasher model is a step up from its predecessor, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's significantly better. Let's start with the price. While the 65 model can be purchased for $500, the Korting KDI 60175 will set you back at least $550. How is this model better than the one described above?
- It has all the qualities of the Korting KDI 60165, except for partial loading.
- With exactly the same maximum load, it uses only 10 liters of water.
- It works much quieter: if the Korting KDI 60165 produces 47 dB, then this model produces no more than 44 dB.
In reality, even a difference of a few dB can be very noticeable.
- The package of additional features has been slightly expanded with the "Children's Dishes" mode. This mode involves a special hypoallergenic treatment for baby dishes. After this treatment, you can safely feed and drink even a child with allergies to detergents without any problems.

Korting KDI 45130
One of the best and, incidentally, quite affordable Korting dishwashers, this 45 cm wide dishwasher is a true bargain. Its specifications are unlikely to impress today's discerning consumer, but it's certainly worth considering. The dishwasher can hold 10 place settings, but in reality, this number is slightly underestimated. Experienced users claim they can load 12 place settings and everything cleans perfectly. The Korting KDI 45130 doesn't have a display, but its control module is quite modern and highly efficient.
The machine uses 12 liters of water per cycle, which is quite a lot, considering that its full-size counterparts manage to wash 14 sets of clothes with ten liters. The noise level is also relatively high, but does not exceed the average value of 50 dB, which is also good news. The control module has six wash programs, a four-step thermistor, and a partial-load mode for the baskets. The feature set is decent, including a delayed start timer, partial leak protection, a 3-in-1 detergent compartment, and a melody at the end of the wash cycle.

This machine's baskets are sturdy and roomy, and the stainless steel interior allows for easy placement of the baskets and tray. This machine costs approximately $380 before discounts.
Korting KDI 4575
This model costs around $540, but we think it's a bit overpriced. Let's explain why. This is a narrow model that holds 10 place settings. It has a rather basic display and no child safety lock, but it does a great job of washing dishes and uses only 10 liters of water. It's not a record-breaking amount of water efficiency, but it's still worth it.
The model boasts a whopping nine wash programs. Even a washing machine would be jealous. It also has a partial load mode, which is completely unnecessary given such low water consumption. This model isn't exactly quiet, producing up to 49 dB of noise during operation, but that's not the biggest problem. Experts recommend installing thicker sound insulation on built-in dishwashers. This can easily reduce the noise level to 35 or even 30 dB. All of this is complemented by a standard set of features, nothing out of the ordinary. So what are we paying so much for? Quality is what we're paying for.

I've been convinced time and again that asking salespeople any questions is pointless. I asked to see some good, inexpensive German dishwashers, and they sold me a Korting. When I got home, read the packaging, and realized I'd been sold a Chinese product. I didn't take the dishwasher back; it's hard to find European-made appliances for that price. My Korting KDI 45130 has been working perfectly for a year now, and it's doing just fine. It doesn't wash dishes perfectly, but it's a solid B.

I recently replaced my Bosch dishwasher, which tragically died, with a Korting KDI 60165. I'm incredibly happy with it; I've had no problems with it. One time it got clogged with shards from a broken cup, but my husband managed to clean it in about 10 minutes. It's a basic design, and he's a genius; he'll fix it if needed. I was completely satisfied with the specifications, and the price was fantastic; we didn't even have to take out a loan; we bought it with our paycheck.

About a year and a half ago we purchased a Korting KDI 60175. The impressions were mixed. The machine broke down in the second month, but we managed to call a repairman from the service center, who fixed everything for free. The machine then started washing everything well until it broke again. This time it was our fault: the filter was clogged, which I cleaned myself. It's a fiddly machine and costs a lot of money on detergent, but it cleans well. My complaints are more about dishwashers in general than the Korting dishwasher specifically.

I really enjoyed using the Korting KDI 4575 dishwasher; it's simple and reliable. I set it to wash dishes overnight, and it manages to scrub them clean, so I have sparkling clean dishes in the morning. In eight months, it hasn't let me down once; I can't help but spit over my left shoulder and knock on wood. I highly recommend it!
As we've seen, not a single fully integrated dishwasher in the Corting family has completely disappointed users or experts, but there are few enthusiastic voices either. Therefore, we can conclude that Corting dishwashers are excellent workhorses in the average kitchen and can be trusted. At the same time, you won't find anything special from these appliances; they perform at their best, and nothing better!
