Which dishwasher to choose – reviews
Which dishwasher should I choose? This is a truly puzzling question, especially for someone who has no experience using a dishwasher. What features, appearance, and type should a dishwasher have? You can, in principle, get answers to these questions from the seller, but how accurate will these answers be, given that objective information is often mixed with advertising and outright lies. Let's try to resolve this issue based on real customer reviews and see what happens.
Narrow built-in dishwashers
Vladimir, Saratov
My family has been using dishwashers for 17 years. My brother sent me our very first one from Germany. It was an excellent Siemens appliance, a full-size freestanding one. Our machine worked for 9 years without any problems., then we sold it to a neighbor, who still has it.
We replaced it with a Bosch, also made in Germany, which lasted almost eight years and, if not for a kitchen fire, would still be in use today. So, my wife and I decided to stick with German brands and opt for an inexpensive, yet, in our opinion, very practical and convenient narrow dishwasher, just 45 cm wide (or 44.8 cm to be precise) – the Bosch SPV30E40RU. As seasoned users of this type of appliance, my wife and I were struck by the following features.
- The machine features 3-in-1 tablet compartments, meaning you no longer have to lug around packets of detergent and bottles of mouthwash. Just buy a pack of tablets, and they already contain everything you need.
- This dishwasher is quite narrow (45 cm). In our case, this was crucial, as we were able to squeeze a washing machine into the niche next to it in our kitchen, whereas previously there was only a dishwasher and a narrow base cabinet.
- The machine works relatively quietly; our old one rattled like a grain crusher.
We all loved the dishwasher we purchased and consider it a great purchase. We give the Bosch SPV30E40RU dishwasher 5 stars.

I could have bought a dishwasher 10 years ago, but my head always held me back. The noise of the dishwasher gives me terrible migraines, so I had to move out of town. But since I don't like washing dishes, I decided to buy a quiet Bosch SPV53M20RU dishwasher, made in Germany. The main thing for me is that the machine doesn't give me a terrible headache because it runs quite quietly. But besides this, it is narrow – 45 cm, has a load capacity of 9 place settings, 5 programs and a load sensor.
Why did I choose it? Firstly, it's quiet; secondly, it's German-made, meaning it's reliable; thirdly, people's reviews were mostly positive. I don't know how accurate these reviews were, but by all accounts, they were mostly accurate. I give this dishwasher a 5+.

I was specifically looking for a 45 cm wide dishwasher because the kitchen cabinetry crew had screwed up and created a 45 cm wide niche instead of a 60 cm one. I settled on an inexpensive Chinese dishwasher, the Hansa ZIM446EH. At first, I thought I was buying a German machine, but then I noticed the "Made in China" label. That didn't stop me, and the next day they delivered and installed the new dishwasher.
The impressions are very positive. The dishwasher is narrow, neat and stylish, after all, it is only 45 cm wide; compared to other machines, it is simply a model. I liked the machine, so I decided to leave reviews about it on various websites. It has a delayed start, six different wash modes, a half-load function, and the ability to use tablets. It has a generous load capacity—9 place settings. It's an ideal choice for a family of three.
Full-size freestanding dishwashers
Maria, Nefteyugansk
The whole family, even the kids, were involved in choosing kitchen appliances. Together, we probably read every article online, read reviews, watched videos, and researched the different types of dishwashers. We even considered buying a narrow 45 cm dishwasher, but we changed our minds and finally found the best one. Which one? It's simple – the Hansa ZWM607IEH freestanding dishwasher.
- It has a normal width (60 cm) and a very decent capacity – 14 sets of dishes.
- Most of the reviews on the Internet about it are positive.
- Water and energy consumption are normal.
- There are 5 very good washing modes, including a delicate wash, which we use most often.
In seven months of use, we've only discovered one drawback. It surfaced right away and didn't make me very happy: this machine doesn't have a "pre-soak" mode. Our old dishwasher had this setting, but now I'm completely useless without it—I'll have to get used to it. But overall, this is the best machine, I'm sure! I give our dishwasher a five.

Which appliance should I choose for my home to avoid making a mistake and wasting money? I've never asked myself that question, relying solely on my intuition. I usually look at what I'm buying, and my gut instinct tells me whether it's a good thing or whether I'm being sold a bad one. This time I was buying a dishwasher, and everything was as usual – the salespeople offered me "the best models," and I went with what I liked, and I wasn't disappointed!
The Hansa ZWM606IH dishwasher is a full-size, fully functional appliance, both in appearance and in fact, very reliable. After a year of use, there have been no problems, not even a hint of a malfunction. I'm very proud of myself for once again purchasing such a good appliance at an affordable price, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Full-size built-in dishwashers

We've had a German Bosch dishwasher at home for five years now, and we decided to buy another one from the same brand for my mom as a birthday present. We chose the full-size built-in Bosch SMV47L10RU. The kitchen crew had just created a 62 cm wide niche in her new kitchen, and this model fit perfectly. Mom was overjoyed when, after a celebratory buffet, she washed a mountain of dishes without even getting her hands wet. She admits that working in the kitchen has now become a joy. She shares glowing reviews of the Bosch SMV47L10RU.

I consulted with the salesperson and decided on the fully integrated ELECTROLUX ESL95201LO dishwasher. The design is universal, suitable for any kitchen. The baskets are very spacious, holding 13 place settings, which is perfect for our family of five. There are five wash programs, of which I like the "quick wash" mode the most. When they installed the dishwasher, the technicians suggested connecting it to hot water, and I agreed, but I shouldn't have. I did the math and it turns out that hot water is more expensive, so I simply turned off the tap and only use cold water in the dishwasher.
For a large house this is an excellent unit. It can wash a mountain of dishes in a very short time, and if the dishes are very dirty, you can turn on an intensive wash. You also don't have to worry about flooding, as the instructions state that the machine is completely leak-proof. The price is more than reasonable, I'm very happy with the purchase, and I recommend it to all my friends, even writing reviews on social media!
Small dishwashers
Elena, Krasnoyarsk
Well, I have no room for a large dishwasher. I've tried everything in my tiny kitchen, but it still ends up being a bummer—even a 45-centimeter dishwasher won't fit, let alone a 60-centimeter one. But apparently my desire for a dishwasher overcame all difficulties, and I finally found a small Bosch SKS41E11RU dishwasher, which fits perfectly on the floor cabinet next to the microwave.
It doesn't fit a lot of dishes, but you can still wash what accumulates throughout the day in one go. It's a great little thing and doesn't take up much space!
Ivan, St. Petersburg
In short, I have a Candy CDCF 6S07 dishwasher, and I'm not happy with it. Basically, what I wanted was a small dishwasher, There's not much room for dishes, it takes a long time to wash, and it hums like a tractorIf you're going to buy a dishwasher, it's better to get a proper, full-size one, or just don't buy anything at all—a small machine is useless. Now I'm washing dishes by hand again and thinking about selling this "miracle of technology" to someone else at a higher price. I give it a 2.
Combined dishwashers with a stove
Galina, Rybinsk
When I saw this Candy TRIO9501 monstrosity, I wasn't too impressed. But when my husband and I calculated how much kitchen space we could free up by eliminating the need for a separate dishwasher and stovetop, we decided to take a closer look at these stovetop-dishwasher hybrids. After reviewing the specifications of several Candy models (others, for some reason, don't make such appliances), we settled on the Candy TRIO9501. We purchased it, installed gas, electricity, and water.
The machine itself cost about $1,000, plus we paid a hefty price for installation because we had to call the gas company, but in the end, I'm absolutely delighted. The kitchen is now cluttered with unnecessary appliances, freeing up almost 1.5 meters of space, which we happily used to enlarge the dining table. A+ to Candy for their original and useful idea.
Karina, Moscow
I read an article somewhere Review of a gas stove with a dishwasherI thought they'd come up with all sorts of crap to get money out of us. But ironically, a year later, I bought the combination dishwasher described in this article, the Candy TRIO9501. My apartment is tight on space, and there's no kitchen at all, just a corner with a sink. So, I took the plunge, paid the money, and regret it. The dishwasher holds plenty of dishes, and the gas stove is practically a full-fledged stove. The Candy TRIO9501 is my lifesaver.
Final tips
To sum it up, I'd like to share a few more tips from buyers on how to choose a dishwasher.
- There is no need to chase after a famous brand; such dishwashers usually cost 30% more. Today, among the huge variety of equipment, there are even Chinese-assembled models that people speak well ofSo why not consider this option? The car will last for 7-8 years, and you can replace it with a new, inexpensive one.

- When choosing a dishwasher, consider the actual capacity of the baskets. Consider how many dishes you have that the dishwasher can accommodate. Plates, mugs, and pots vary, so the stated capacity may not reflect how many dishes you actually have.
- When buying a dishwasher, don't forget about consumables (salt, rinse aid, powder, gel, or tablets). These can eat up a significant portion of your budget, and then you won't be happy with your dishwasher.
- Before purchasing a dishwasher, research its features and modes. Decide which ones you really need and which ones will be useless. The main thing is not the number of modes and options, but their purpose. Such functions and features may include: half load, delayed start, intensive zone, turbo dry, delicate crystal wash, chamber lighting, height-adjustable baskets, sound signal and child safety lock.
Each additional feature may affect the cost of the equipment, so be careful.
- After purchasing and thoroughly inspecting your dishwasher at the store, don't hesitate to inspect it upon delivery. It's possible the appliance was defective during shipping, or they may have even delivered a different dishwasher than the one you inspected, but a similar one taken from a warehouse.
So, let's reiterate, the internet contains tens of thousands of reviews about dishwashers, but only about 10% of them are genuine. We had a lot of trouble sifting through the hype to find genuine opinions, so our experts would be very pleased if you took a closer look at the above selection.

A dishwasher is a very useful appliance. We only recently got one in our house, but I can hardly imagine how I ever lived without it. We ordered it online. They delivered it, installed it, and showed us how to use it. It's a fantastic product!
I'd still like something cheaper, like the Indesit. Does anyone know any good models or have used them?
We bought a Hotpoint—it's a real pleasure for a small price! It cleans perfectly and runs almost silently!
Home appliances have become much more affordable these days. You don't have to buy a super-expensive dishwasher to be confident in its durability. Despite the stereotypes, I trust Chinese dishwashers just as much as German ones, so I confidently bought Midea models for myself and my parents. My mother is absolutely delighted. She says she didn't know her dishes could shine so well. It's been working for a couple of years without any issues.
